It's a Motorola Xoom running Android 4.1.2. The issue it's having is that even though the tablet is connected to the internet none of the apps (play store, YouTube, etc) will connect. They all say 'no internet connection'. The only way I know the tablet is actually connected to Wi-Fi is that the internet browser still works. This might be unrelated to the issue but every single website I go to it gives me the warning 'Security warning: There are problems with the security certificate for this site'. Sometimes I will have to hit cancel 10 times before the warning goes away.
this is something I can fix without doing a complete reset because there are pictures and stuff I don't want to lose. Since I can't connect to google play I can't back them up to am app like dropbox either.
Every link I go to in order to get files to root my droid 2.1 have broken links, anyone have working links please?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a way that I can create a complete image of a motorola xoom and a complete image of a motorola xoom 2 and then copy that image to another device of the same type? We have about 40 of each kind and when I have to reinstall I have to go to each of the 4 fastboot processes in order to rebuild each device when someone messes up on of them. The Xooms are not rooted and are not assigned to any service providers. MZ604 and MZ607. I was thinking along the lines of when I would create an image of a computer and image another computer. If this is not possible how could I just copy all the apps from one device to another device of the same kind. I know a little about fastboot and RSD lite.

1. The Xoom will see the XP (PC) as a Massive Storage Device.
2. The XP (PC) will see the Xoom as a Massive Storage Device or as a MP3 player.
3. Both the Xoom and the PC will see each other as a Massive Storage Device.
4. A conflict will occur as both devices, Xoom and the XP (PC) will try to host each other.

I do know that ICS support OTG, and run really well with flash drives.
With the newest Dolphin Browser update there is a key feature missing.
Normally if there is a link, in my case a podcast, and if you long press the link it pops up with a menu and one of the options is to "save link" which is basically the same as right clicking on a PC and saving the target as.
Its gone- closed by Samsung - but the links to the files still work. Use the cached version through google and you can still get the firmware. Be quick as who knows how long this will work

I have recently bought a HTC One X and find it difficult to keep my Moto xoom and One X in real time sync for Apps and App data.
I have been through many apps and none are quick, easy and not internet hogging junk.
Now its not like iCloud where you download an app on one device and gets automatically pushed to your other devices quick and easy.

I have installed Dolphin and like it, and I've made it my default browser, which is great. However, it is not only the system default, but it even opens links I click on in the Android provided browser (sometimes I both open). On your computer, when you click links in your non-default browser it doesn't send the links to the default one, and it shouldn't on this OS, either. Any ideas how to keep Dolphin as my system default browser, but not have it open links I click on in the Android web browser?

I have one contact that has a phone link, twitter link, facebook link, and gmail link, and the display name is the twitter name. I dont like this, and I cant change it. I tried linking the phone contact name last, and it still reverts to Twitter. Where are the permissions at to say which account should bear the contact name in my phonebook? I just got back from a weekend in Julian and I was very happy with the quality of the pictures. Best "point and shoot" I have ever owned (not trying to compare it to a "real" camera). Is there a gallery here to post pictures? Or should we start a thread with links to Flickr or Picasa, et al, with Droid-taken pics?

ive been doing A LOT of reading these past few days and, along with the phone itself- im learning quite a bit. however, after a few searches, i was unable to find my answer-i use AOL as my email service. when i receive emails with web links in the email, im unable to 'click' the link. is there a way to 'enable' the links in the messages or is user-error?

Is there a way to set this association so that the link will automatically open in Chrome?
Since shortcuts for web pages made on PC cannot be used to launch the browser on Android and open those web page links, is there an app which would allow you to browse files on your Android and then directly open url web page link shortcuts?

However, I think it's an issue with Android itself, not the app. When I get an email from Facebook, and I click the link, my browser opens and takes to the Facebook page and asks me to log in. Why doesn't it open the link using my Facebook app? It doesn't even ask me which app to use, browser or Facebook (eg. if I have two different gallery apps, and I want to view a picture, it asks me which gallery app to use, and lets me set one as default at the same time). Is there any way to make Facebook links open the Facebook app, instead of launching the browser (or to have it ask me like it does with other apps)? The whole point of the Facebook app is so I don't need to use the browser to view Facebook.

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust wanted to share this in case others experience it...I've never seen this happen before on other ROMs (currently on BB Froyo v.2). No idea if it's the fault of the ROM, or some other quirk...this happened a full day after I had installed BB v.2 over my previous install of BB v.1.
I went into the Market/Downloads view a little while ago and found that none of my free installed apps were listed, just the paid ones. All the apps were still installed on my system, but all the market links apparently had been lost. I hadn't done anything today to change my setup or configuration, but for some reason my installed free apps had disappeared. I entered and exited the market a few times, nothing changed.
Went to Titanium and did a quick backup, just to make sure that I had all my apps. Then I tried to use Titanium's market fix feature, but it said there were no market links to fix. Remembering some advice in Titanium Backup that says when restored market links aren't showing up after a restore (which I hadn't done), if you simply download and install one app from the Market it will refresh the links...I did so, and all my free installed apps showed up again in the Market/Download screen.
