how can i update my pirated paid apps?
I'm new to android phone. When I bought my phone, the mobile store gave me some apps including paid for a deal price from dealers. But I found some apps having a prefix in their file name which on googling I found they are piracy developers. But many of other apps provided by them are already free apps from google play. But some are paid apps, for example, AVG mobile antivirus pro. The file is doesn't have any prefix. Is there any way to find if its genuine or not?

2. Create a new user as usual (follow the Android tutorial).
2.5. Verify everything is ok for this user.
3. Once done, go into this new user settings (don't switch back to your main/admin account).
4. Add a new account, this time use the Google account on which you paid for your apps.
5. During the add account tutorial, make sure you unselect ALL syncing stuff. Very important!
6. Go to settings / applications and deactivate all the apps you don't want the new user to access (ex: gmail, calendar, etc...).
7. Launch the Google Play Store and select your main account, make sure you protect application purchase by a PIN.
8. Installed a paid apps under this account.
9. Enjoy!
WARNING 1: I had an issue with Google+ when I deactivated it, it removed the updated version (so when I switched back to my main account, I needed to update the app through Play Store). May happen to other apps.
WARNING 2: I don't know if it's related or not, but in the process, I needed to reboot my Nexus 7, it was slow and unresponsive (a process or app was sucking a lot of CPU cycle). But, it did not happened again.
TIP: Use email app instead of gmail to sync the other user mails.
CAVEAT: Experienced users or clever children may find how to reactivate the apps you locked, so you may want tu use an app locker instead of the "deactivate method".
It's not perfect but it works, it's enough for me. My daughters will enjoy their games and I know they will not mess the system. Tested on my Nexus 7 but I'm pretty sure it will work on all Android 4.2 devices.

I have the latest Play Store and Play Store Services apps on SGS2 v4.1.2 stock rom.
I tried deleting both data and cache of both, I uninstalled the old app and also tried downgrading both Play Store App, but nothing worked.
I found that the APK files I receive for paid apps are not standard zip files, they seem corrupted or encrypted: can this be?
I purchased Tasker android app on the android market 7th march. When i try to download that app i receive "Error Takser could not be downloaded due to and error. (403)". View 13 Replies View RelatedI am under the impression that android apps can require other apps to be installed in other to operate. The main example I know is the zxing barCode scanner app, which gets used by a number of other apps. The zxing barcode app is free, but I was wondering what would happen if it wasn't?In particular, what would the user experience be like? How would they be notified, if at all, about the paid app requirement?

View 11 Replies View RelatedWhen we issued our first update for a paid app, it bombs the minute a user downloads, install and tries to run.New users have no problems. For awhile I thought it was something we were doing as developers, but I'm reading descriptions of very popular free games saying, "To upgrade uninstall and reinstall".The free developers have this luxury. For paid apps the purchaser can't request a refund after the second download. If this is a market issue we are f*#%ed.Please tell me the magic way to get an upgrade out. Also, are developers testing this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI believe I have been quite reasonable, patiently waiting for you to deploy the paid application solution. I adopted Android early, took many punches and setbacks each time you rolled out a new SDK making major changes to the API. Now I am frustrated with how you are handling this situation. Everyday more and more applications hit the market for "free", in effect watering down the market and reducing my chance of making money on your platform.Does this sound greedy? Perhaps, but this is the real world. If I can't support my development by selling my product, I can't feed my family. Looks like it is back to the iPhone and the new Blackberry store.

View 7 Replies View Relatedi just got my EVO the beginning of the month. I have no problem downloading free apps from the "market" however I can't seem to download apps that need to be paid for. The message says there's a server error. But this has been going on for weeks. Someone on the internet suggested to someone who has the same problem as I do to go to "Google Checkout" on the computer and that should do the trick. Well that hasn't worked for me either.

View 22 Replies View RelatedI have a HTC Hero but I can't see even ONE paid application in the App Market. I bought this device from Dubai (someone got it from UK - unlocked version). I really want to have paid applications on my HTC Hero, but so far no luck
Can anyone help me with that? I tried searching the forums for such issues, but didn't found any proper solution/fix to that.
Yesterday before rooting my phone i bought DocsToGo 2.0. After buying the software (Last Night) I rooted my phone. I installed the stock sprint rom but with root access. Since then I went to market place and tried to re-download docstogo paid version but I can't find it on the market. I see the free version and I dl that but it comes back and tell me that i need to buy the full version. I am using the same email address that was used when purchasing the app. Does anyone know why I can not see a paid version of DocToGo. Also, I searched for logmein (free) and can't find that app as well.

View 4 Replies View RelatedHey guys this is my first post, so don't get upset, I am new. But anyway my question is this: what is the best way to get all paid apps for free? I hope I can do it straight off my android device, in my case the Motorola Droid.
View 7 Replies View RelatedThe X is my first Android phone, and I am loving it. Night and day difference from the Storm I had. I have installed some free apps from the market. I am, however, unable to install any paid apps. I have tried a couple different ones so far. One was Beautiful Widgets and the other was Tapa talk. After selecting the Buy Now button, it prompts you to log in to your Google account. I do this and then it asks what you want to sync, not sure why that comes up. But then after selecting next, it just goes right back to the app with the Buy Now option. Anyone else seen this that can tell me what I am doing wrong?
View 12 Replies View RelatedWhen I download free apps it works just fine. But when I get paid apps, i get an e-mail thanking me for the purchase, but when I try to download, all i get is "authorizing purchase", it never downloads. I bought Shazam but it never downloaded, it's been a week now, and I went to places where I got 4G, I tried the Wi-fi, but nothing worked. I thought it was Shazam, so I bought a different, app like Shazam called SoundHound, but it still does the same problem. Is this a problem with my phone? should I go back to sprint and ask them about it? what's the best solution for this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having difficulty downloading some paid apps. My credit card information should be correct because I just bought the paid version of ROM Manager. Then I realized that I can only download apps that have American currency. All others freeze in the authorization stage.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI backedup all my apps and I just realised that I can re-install them again, so technically I could of purchased an app and backed it up and then refunded it and then installed it from the SD card. Some apps I have backedup but they won't install, is this down to the developers choosing to protect their apps or not.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI have been looking around for a solution but didnt find one. I have some paid apps that I got on the Android Market. They were TERRIBLE. I uninstalled them and am now trying to get them to get off my "My Downloads" section of the android market. I know that free apps are supposed to go away after time but that isnt always happening. Anyone have any ideas besides clearing Market Cache? Tried that and didnt work.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI don't even care about the relatively short battery life. So I finally rooted the phone, narrowly avoiding disaster along the way. And now I'm like "now what?"
Obviously there is a wi-fi tether out there. And then there is the overclock. But I'm wondering what other apps you can use with a rooted phone that you otherwise can't. Are there paid apps out there that require root access? In other words, what's the big deal? Why do we root our phones?
This is an honest question. I'm not suggesting that it's not worth it - just trying to learn more about android. I'm a convert from Blackberry and I'm not going back.
I bought my unlocked Desire in the UK and used it there for about 2 months before I headed back home to Gibraltar. Now I am almost sure I opened the Market since I have been back home and remember seeing the "paid" apps section with the prices in euros. Now when I access the market I don't have a "paid" apps section. Is it as simple as that the market may not be available in Gibraltar? or am i doing something wrong here.
