General :: How To Unroot HTC ONE
Nov 2, 2013I have a rooted HTC one and I am unable to download and install any upgrades my carries sends out.. I just get a message each time saying the installer was corrupted, as a result im thinking of going back stock and unrooting.
I am reasonable computer literate but have little experience with phone modding. At present when I boot the phone holding power and the vol down.. This is the info I get.

Mar 22, 2013Apparently I had the courage to root my device using clockwork mod using the i717 method. It was successful and I had superuser installed.
I attempted to install cyanogenmod and it failed. At the restore center (you hold down both volume rockers and the power button), it shows the android robot dead with a red exclamation mark when I attempted to install from a zip file. Fortunately, my phone was able to boot up without issues.
Just now, I installed a root checker app and it says that my phone is not properly rooted. How to unroot? I can jailbreak my itouch with no issues but this is very complex for me.

Oct 2, 2013I've recently rooted my Alcatel One touch t'pop otherwise known as 4010A with Ishauji Root tool and it worked but i was not pleased with the result my phone started moving like my old Toshiba laptop with windows xp "very slow" so i searched for an unroot tool for days; i couldn't find any and to make matters worst the root tool was Japanese or Chinese i think, doesn't matter i couldn't really understand it, the superuser was also in that language; so i did some more research and found this:

Now let me make myself clear i used this and it said it would reboot my phone when finished, it took long so i rebooted manually "not saying thats what you should do" but when the phone turned on all was normal and it was successfully unrooted "yay!!!"
It worked for me hope it works for you, just download it, if you use computer to download then just put it on sd card and install to phone and press unroot and in a matter of time your unrooted hope it works for you. I do not know the risks of it failing but it worked on first try.

Mar 30, 2010I've used DMudpater before to unroot with no problems. I just did it a few minutes ago and I'm able to get past the M logo and the Eye. However, once the phone starts to load up, I get nothing but a rapid succession of FC's for every app on my phone. After the FCs, my screen is COMPLETELY BLACK except for the status bar, which shows a date of December 31, 1969 and shows a time of 7:05PM (it's actually 4:15PM where I'm at). There's no service in the status bar.

The only other dx we have that isn't rooted is a hundred miles away but i could try to fish su out of it and check the attributes on it. Anyone ponder this yet?
