View 3 RepliesI want to add one more endpoint audio device in android and am trying to modify the setRouting() functions to support the selection of the new added audio device. As far I traced, the doRouting() in class AudioHardwareOss should perform the audio endpoint device selection. However, donRouting() just returns NO_ERROR without any other functionalities. So, my question is where and how endpoint audio device selection is achieved.

I went in yesterday to pay full price for a phone and the rep offered me a new phone for the regular upgrade price. After an hour I walked out with a new Droid DNA and could not be happier.
Yes, I had to give up unlimited data but the most we have ever used is 3.5 GB per month and they gave us 4 along with unlimited minutes and texting which my wife needs. I could not be happier at the moment.
I wanted to know if there is an app that can do record my activities on a phone like I want to open an app, so everythign from turning on the screen and swiping action for unlocking and clicking on the app and the following taps and swipes i do on a phone... it should record all this.. and repeat it at some schdule i choose.?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I program a event in the calendar, with reminder (for example 15 minutes before event), the phone ring at the correct time. In notification bar, an icon appear and when I "click" on it, I can choice "ignore" or "later" (i'm not sure of the translation, because my ROM is in french).
But the problem is that's impossible to choice the time for the next alarm. If I click on "later", the phone re-ring 5 minutes later.
Is it possible to modify something to permit to choice the time for the next alarm ? (in system files, build.prop or other place) ?
That works in widows mobile 6.5: when reminder occurs, a menu permit to repeat in 1, 5, 10, 15, 30 minutes or more.
If possible, I prefer not install another calendar application, but if base calendar application cannot be modified to have this option, could you give me name of application which permit it ?
I have done a battery pull, as well as restarted, and rechecked the boxes for repeat sound notifications for my text messages. The repeat sound is set at every 2 minutes. I do receive the original sound notification, but, I never get the subsequent notices. Verizon is at a loss...gee imagine that...But, at the same time, the Haptic (vibrating touch) randomly unchecks it's box and I lose that function about every 2-3 days also.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've noticed that Google maps is always taking up a big portion of the battery in the battery menu. If I freeze it with titanium would that make a significant difference? I use it seldom enough to go thru the trouble of unfreezing it when needed if it's worth it..
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using the stock HTC e-mail program on my Droid Incredible to access my Gmail account. Up until recently, I would get a single notification for each new e-mail message that came in. Now when I get a notification that an e-mail has come in I get a follow-up notification every five minutes or so until I open my e-mail program. This started happening even though I didn't change any settings. I have been unable to find a setting either in HTC's e-mail or in Gmail to undo this. I think, but am not sure, that this started up when I upgraded to 2.3.4.
View 10 Replies View RelatedSo, I want to make an app that uses only some portion of screen, while the rest portion can be used by user.
For example, if a user open app through Home Screen Shortcut, app may cover 25% of height while rest 75% will be covered by home screen such that user can use both apps and home screen. Same applies to other scenarios.
I am actually trying to create a custom notification panel, hence want my panel to hide the original one.
Is there a way to isolate just a portion of a website and feed this into an app?
For example, I'm looking to develop an app for my rugby club, I want the league to show up, but rather than direct to the RFU site, can I catch just the table itself? Here's the website to clarify matters:

New to Android and starting to work on file mgmt. I set up some subfolders on my SD card for pictures. I have been moving pictures from one folder to another, but I can only move one at a time. Is there a way to select multiple picture files and move them to another folder (like "Select All" with Windows)? This is the sequence I've been following: Use the Edit Icon in the Astro taskbar, select Move, then going to the directory folder I want to move them, and hit Paste. Moving one file at a time is taking for ever.

Scrolling down to the bottom of where the browser assumes is the bottom of the webpage only reveals maybe one half of the full webpage and a refresh or a switch to Dolphin Browser or a 'pinch to fit' only reaffirms that the browser is only registering a portion of certain pages.

Guess my Droid has to go naked now as I feel weird having only the back portion on it. Not sure what I should do really. I bought it on Amazon it was delivered around September 24th to the 29th so it hasn't even been on my phone a whole damn month and it's busted.

I use a otterbox commuter case while has covers for the dock and head phone jack, so Im assuming the dust came in between the buttons and the bottom of the screen.

The relevant parts of my ListViewActivity: public class MyListViewActivity extends ListActivity browsed around stackoverflow.com and the google; the above is something that should work. But it isn't. setSelection(i) appears to be the method I want to call on ListView but it's not working as advertised. What am I doing wrong? Is this even possible on Android in code?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I launch Navigation, I'm given four methods of choosing a location: "Speak Destination", "Type Destination", "Go home", and "Map". Clicking on "Map" brings me to a map view (cool)... which doesn't actually let me select a destination (WTF). Is this bug present only in Jelly Bean? I can't believe it wouldn't have been caught earlier otherwise.
Oh, launching Maps and long-pressing on a point allows me to select it and set it as a destination for Navigation. Ironic that this functionality is missing from Navigation itself.
Is there a fix for this, or is Maps the only way to select a destination by clicking on a map?
is there any app for the sms to repeat it sound twice or three times ?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently uploaded my entire photo collection (19.500 photos) to Picasa / Google Photos in an effort to make my life a bit easier. Last year I did the same with my docs, music and videos. The idea is to remove the need for a M$ PC in my home, instead accessing all my content from the cloud via my Android units. So far it has worked wonderfully, and I'm really happy I did it. Earlier I used to make a photo collection or two each year of selected photos using a PC-based PhotoBook creator (CeWe: Digital photos, CEWE PHOTO BOOKS, photo gifts - Welcome to the CEWE photoworld! // CEWE - simply beautiful photos), and getting a nice, paper album sent home to me. The question then is, is there a way (app or (android browser friendly) solution) that would allow me to select images from my Google-Picasa-Photo-Cloud-Storage, set them up in scrapbook/album fashion with annotations etc. and finally ordering a printed album like I did before?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've tried searching for this with no luck! Sorry if its a duplicate question.
Whenever I get an email, I get repeat notifications (sound and vibrate) until I clear the message from the notification bar. So if I get an email right after I fall asleep, it keeps vibrating and playing my ringtone every few minutes until I wake up and clear it. It doesn't wake me up or bother me too bad...its just annoying, but my husband on the other hand is about to throw it out of the window....
...and since I FINALLY got a working EVO (hardware ver. 3), I would hate to see this. Anyone know how to fix it?
Okay, so I know that Google changed the way we choose our keyboards/input methods in ICS, so instead of long-pressing a text-area, we can pull down the notification menu, and choose "select input type"...
However, when I'm typing something while within the default Internet browser, I can't see the notification bar, nor can I find a way to switch input methods... I generally use Swype as my default keyboard, but sometimes need to switch to the stock keyboard. How to accomplish this without leaving the browser?
I can access andriod system recovery but I cannot select the options.key combination to select the option I want.
