When a group message is sent between my co-workers, who are all iphone users, and myself (Note 3), one person in the exchange does not receive the text. This is not the common iMessage issue that was plaguing me when I made the switch from Apple to Android. This is specifically affecting one iphone user. When I send her a text individually it is not a problem. The other iPhone users don't have a problem receiving or sending to me.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI was using Catch notes for few of my personal data until today, unaware of the fact that it is no longer supported. I mistyped my passcode, and ever since it wont allow me inside and access my notes. i tried searching through individual folders, just in case the notes are in plain text. As per other xda user, i checked in the folder [url]...., still found nothing.
I terribly need the information. So I'm thinking of breaking the app and try by passing the passcode/password check. i know this puts a moral question. But based on my situation I'm convincing myself saying its ok, as it is no longer supported!!! and nobody will be impacted, expect myself and of course I need the data.
I have little experience in trying to look through software/apps and tweak them for my necessity, with little success. Now I'm not even sure if this break-in is possible. I'm totally out of date with respect to these kind of stuff.
Note: I use Samsung Galaxy S3 (GT-I9300), rooted, ver 4.1.2.
Where the notes & bookmarks are stored (within the android file system) Customer service has been 0 support. They just keep saying that there's no cloud based backup system so I can't back it up.... The files are stored on my device SOMEWHERE so there has to be a way to back them up. It kills me to think that I could lose all the notes I took through the 10+ books I've bought.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am getting a Nexus 7 in the mail soon and I am wondering what is the best application for recording lectures?
Also, is it possible to connect my nexus 7 to my Netbook for taking Pen Notes (similar to a graphics tablet)? I am planning to use my Nexus 7 for textbooks + recording lectures. I am using my netbook for notetaking and I usually use a GraphicTablet for anything I need to draw or write down with. I use the OneNote application. Any possible way to do the same w/ my Nexus? Also, not all rooms have wi-fi connection! So I can't connect w/ wi-fi. So basically I need something with a USB connector for the graphic tablet function!

Whenever I'm included in their group text (or I sent out group text including them), I never get much of luck working.
I will more likely get bunch of individual MMS text from all 5 friends (iPhone) with "touch to download" but the text itself nowhere to found, and even i touch the "touch to download" mms, it doesn't download anything.
I forgot to mention, i use "hangout" as my main SMS and message app.
I have asked same question on G+ and one person replied and said he has no problem with group text with other iPhone user, and suggested me to have group message on hangout setting, and turn off Wi-Fi calling. I tried and still doesn't work.
I noticed my uncle had an iphone 4, and we started talking about our phones (mostly me bragging that android was the bomb), one thing lead to another and we were exchanging pics, when i asked him if he just got a photo i sent, he showed me his phone with a popup showing the pic i sent up in a popup.i currently use handcent sms but when i get a pic from someone all it says is "view mms", is there any app that does that?

1) I have iPhone data plan through ATT. Is ATT going to make a big deal about me no longer on an iPhone? The plan allows me to tether so would like to keep it if I can.
2) Is there a tool that would allow me to transfer contacts, calendar, pictures and music to N5?
I have found videos on tethered and semi-tethered, but I would like to know is there any way to jailbreak the iPhone untethered ? I heard of programs (icysn0w and sliverwind) that claims to do this but people says it's fake.
View 8 Replies View RelatedMy contract with Verizon is up in the middle of February and my wife and I are planning on getting new phones and possibly switching carries (possibly to T-Mobile). Based on what's currently available I think if we stay on Verizon we'll get two Moto Xs, but if we switch to T-Mobile we'll go with the Nexus 5. I try to stay up on tech news, but if any new phones are expected in February or early March I'd be interested in hearing about them. I don't want to wait too long because my iPhone is out of warranty and starting to slowly die (for instance the on/off button no longer works).

I'm just getting started with mobile development, and after considerable searching I'm still confused about sending a message from my iPhone to another or an Android. For instance, in building a simple Tic-Tac-Toe game, if I want to notify the other phone of a move, what is the best way to do so? Wifi, bluetooth, 3G? And how? Many methods seem to point to communicating through a web server, but I'd rather send them directly from phone to phone if possible.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've done a ton of searching and still haven't been able to find a solution that works for me. I am on Virgin Mobile and have an Optimus V. Most of my friends have iPhones and when they send a group text message it shows up as a blank message for me. I downloaded Go SMS Pro and it still doesn't work in there. I don't want any app that would give me a new number. BTW, I receive group texts from those of my friends that have Windows phones just fine.
View 7 Replies View RelatedAfter having an IPhone 4s for two years i decided to switch to a galaxy s4 to see what it was like. My first touch screen device was a cheap rubbish MID rocketchip tablet running android 1.7. Every since then and seeing my friend using his HTC wildfire and how laggy it is in things like scrolling i always though iphone was better until i got the S4, realising that with the latest android scrolling was smooth (although can still be laggy at times but rarely) and with all its customization etc i don't like iphones as much as i did but don't completely dislike them just don't think i'd go back to one. That said i do miss some of the apps that i can't get on android.
Anyway whilst i love the galaxy s4 i found what you could say in a design flaw but it's also a good design at the same time. Samsung as positioned the lock/power button on the right side of the phone. Which ok is more natural when holding the phone and other phones are the same too but i've noticed a problem although it could just be me. Whenever i play a game or use any app in landscape mode i've found myself accidently pressing the lock button so i have to make sure that i haven't placed my finger on top of it as where it's placed is natural for my fingers to hold the phone in landscape mode. As i say might just be me that can't hold it properly. Anyway i was wondering if there is a way i could disable the power button in landscape mode so that if i press it, it won't do anything. I was thinking of using tasker but doesn't seem to be away to disable buttons.
I had an iPhone 4S but upgraded to the HTC.
For some reason I can't text people with an iPhone. I still have the 4S and I turned iMessage off. I went on the Apple Support site and looked at the devices and clicked the "X" to unregister my phone and my macbook.
Im still not able to receive texts from people with an iphone. I can send them messages but can not get them back. I am also able to send and receive calls.
I've bought the S4 and I'm switching from iPhone! But I found a problem that I don't have any solutions for. How do you transfer contacts from the iPhone to the S4 without using iTunes? I've tried Microsoft exchange as well but it doesn't work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am new to Android (Thunderbolt)
I am trying to learn the quickest and most efficient way to sync my contacts from my iPhone to my Android Phone. I have a gmail account and thus, a google account. I know how to sync my iPhone contacts from iTunes to my gmail account (but have not done this).
THE PROBLEM: The contacts I have on my iPhone are the contacts that I want to swap over to my new Android Phone. However, i have a few hundred more contacts in my gmail account that I DO NOT wish to sync to my new Android Phone.
I guess I could sync my iPhone contacts using iTunes to a NEW, separate, clean gmail account, then upload to android, and thus have only the iPhone contacts that I want to sync appear on the new Android phone.
However, if I do this, can I then switch back to my primary, preferred gmail account, from which I can then continue to receive my e-mails without syncing all the extra contacts i have in THAT account to the Android Phone?
WHAT I AM ATTEMPTING TO ACCOMPLISH: I don't want to have to sync or merge my iPhone contacts with my existing gmail account and then have to later delete hundreds of contacts off of the android phone after I have synced the Android Phone to my primary gmail account.
A friend last night showed me his iPhone and was laughing at how AT&T and Apple were doing this, and he admits his phone isn't 4g but it says it is.
Here's an article I found
