Running cm10.2 . Every time I load a ROM it just blacks out and close and says "unfortunately drastic has stopped. I've checked that the bios files and ROMs (games) were placed in the right folder.. Tried zipped and unzipped roms.. Nothing? Rebooted device. I've tried over 5 games as well.

Is there a way to prevent data access for individual apps? (both WiFi and 3/4G)
Essentially, I'm trying to block internet access for certain apps while the rest on the device is connected. I'm running CM10.2 on a GS3.
I spent hours last night search and trying various combinations of APN settings. But I still can't send or receive MMS messages.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have updated my international HTC One X to CM10 ver(10-20121221 NIGHTLY). However, i find that the GPS doesn't pickup any satellites at all.
I went back to my stock ROM and found that the GPS was working fine. On reading some threads about similar problems, i tried downloading AGPS data but that too did not work. I also flashed a AGPS Fix for HTC One X ver3.1 but that too didn't work.
I installed cm-10- 20130107-Unofficial-ef40s_Officail-kernel on my sky a810k device. all is good and working except for bluetooth. I don't want to go back to the stock rom.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with the mobile connection on my phone, which is a Samsung Galaxy S4 (i9505) with CM10.1.
The mobile connection only works for a couple of minutes when i reboot the phone. After that time, it says "Offline" or "No network connection". I can still do phone calls though, so the connection to the celltower is still established.
APN settings are correct.
Data enabled is ticked
Data roaming is ticked (I need this, because my provider is using the mobile network of another provider)
Turning aeroplane mode on/off will not solve it.
Re-enabling data/-roaming will not solve it.
Switching to 2G mode will not solve it.
Okay, I'm pretty sure my Nexus S 4G is running Cm10. I didn't root it, but I would like to know how to gain root access since it seems to already be rooted. I'll post a screen shot that shows my confusion. mobile app

I can run it fine on a phone running 1.5 but when I try to launch it with an emulator running 1.5, the emulator doesn't show up on the list of available AVDs. I have the <uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="3"/> tag in my manifest but it doesn't make a difference.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the most recent version of Android for linux (android-sdk_r05-linux_86.tgz). I was trying to use the the Android Ant task(s) for packaging, building, and deploying my code. I should mention that I'm running AMD64, but have the 32-bit libraries installed. The Android Ant tasks are all broken.
First, the start-emulator task never gets the emulator running. It does get past starting adb, but then just sits there.
Second, the SDK is missing the aapt binary in the tools directory. So, the example notepad sample application will not even package correctly.
I have all the dependencies configured for Android. I can run it from the command line just fine.I assume the Ant code is out of sync with the recent SDK updates. Can anyone shed some light on this problem? At this point, I'm considering writing my own Python scripts to interact with the Android SDK. Ugh.
I have Samsung Galaxy ACE which is rooted. Till y'day I was using CM9 Beta 8 ICS 4.0.4 and it was working well.
I installed CM10 JB for Galaxy Ace alpha1 from "hxxp://maclaw.pl/?page_id=180#comment-3642"
Now the problem is, JB doesn't have File Manager installed and I need to install TB to revert my backups.
Due to some unknown reason I am not able to access internet on my device either through GPRS or 3G connection.
I am desperately looking for a way to access my SDCARD wherein I have all my apk's which I can install however, without File Manager I am not sure how to install an apk.
I did some google search and came across topics about installing apk using Android SDK etc.. however I would not want to work on SDK as I feel its bit tedious job for me.
I also tried Android Injector however that didnt work even if I have enabled USB debugging Mode for adb + apps.
Now, I am hoping that, I can use the Terminal Emulator which is preinstalledo n my phone to install apk present on my sdcard.
However, I am not sure how to do that, what are the steps to install apk present on my sdcard from Terminal Emulator available on my phone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have problem launching my app. The emulator will load, but the app won't launch. The progress bar at the lower right of eclipse is just stuck at 100%. I've tried reinstalling everything including my JDK's and adt plugin. Also tried kill-server and start-server method but it didn't work. There's even nothing written in console or logcat. I even tried waiting for an hour hoping it would run.
I have windows 7 64 bit.
I have set my android sdk, and reached the main activity page. But when i run the first app of hello world, nothing happens. I have also set the android virtual device manager. so in short, i've a problem that emulator is not running.

Downloaded the new 2.0 sdk the other day, and tried testing my app on 2.0 via the emulator. I am using eclipse, and when i click run, the new emulator runs with my 2.0 avd. but when eclipse tries to install it i get this in the console. The emulator comes up and just displays some text and doesn't function after that. The program doesn't even seem to run. How do I do this when I click "Run"?
I read online and it said I need to do AVD configuration. What is that and how do I do that?
How to run the emulator within eclipse without using ADT. All I want to do is run the emulator with -partition-size option of the emulator and you cant do this by default. Im sure there might be a tricky way of doing this but googling doesn't give me any clues. does any one know ? I also thought about running the emulator as part of a script and call the script within eclipse.

Killing adb, the emulator and Eclipse usually helps until it happens again. Any idea why this is? I see this behavior since the launch of Android. I am running on Mac OS X. Why? because the market for paid apps isn't available here. The apps in question aren't available on slideme etc either so this is my last resort. One problem arised: An app I downloaded works for 2.1 and desire, but when I download it from the market with the emulator with 1.6 I get an older "legacy" version of the app that isn't compatible with 2.1. Due to this I wonder if there is any hackie crackie crazy way of getting a 2.1 system image onto the emulator or in any other way fooling the android market app or whatever to download apps as if the emulator phone was 2.1?

It seems to me that there is no need for it to start an android emulator(3) each time and to kill it. It'd be nice if there was a way an android emulator always running and eclipse just installs/uninstalls the app instead of making me wait every time.
