View 3 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Pantech Element and it comes with Honeycomb. I downloaded the update tool from Pantech's website to update to ICS. When I ran the tool it tells me that my tablet is already running the latest OS (ICS)! I also tried the "software download" mode, but the tablet is not detected by Windows 7. Honeycomb really blows

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo on my Galaxy s4 I know how to set up a custom sms/mms tone for individual contacts. HOWEVER they are always the same tones listed. When I create or download any notification sound it won't show up on the list when I try to make it a custom but it will show for my default list. Apparently I did it somehow because one of my notification tones I created appeared on the list but that's it. How to add to that list?

I want to know the best custom rom for samsung galaxy s duos. I would like to flash a custom rom.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've recently got myself a samsung galaxy s4. Naturally, the first thing I did was root it and put a custom ROM on it. However, there are a few stock features that I would like back (Read: A FEW), such as the one that tracks your eyes so the screen doesn't rotate when you're lying down.
Is there any way (like a selective app pack, or apks) to get some of the stock features back on my custom ROM? I'm running the latest slimbean.
I recently just flashed my Samsung galaxy s2 t989 (tmobile) to ICS from the ported version. Now I'm wondering about custom Rom from this website.
1. Can I use any custom rom? Or does it have to be for my specific phone?
2. All galaxy s2 custom rom threads say it for samsung galaxy s2 but doesn't it matter if im using a samsung galaxy s2 t989? Just it just have to be the general device?
3. Could I have a link to where they post custom rom for my device?
I've been using a galaxy Y S5360 for almost 18 months and I have been using custom ROMs for around 15 months. First I tried Creed 3.5 and loved it. A few months moved to Jellyblast 3 which was again fine. Two days ago I tried installing Hyperion and my phone got bricked I managed to flash stock ROM using odin . But now my phone gets bricked everytime I try installing a custom ROM ( tried Creed 3.5, Jellyblast 3 and Hyperion 8) and Im stuck with the stock ROM .

I have installed a few custom roms on my Galaxy s3 and as of last week when i have a custom rom installed i get no data (internet of call and mms) I reset the phone using kies and it all worked fine but now when i install any custom rom i cannot use data or calls. If i go into About Device and Status it shows no network of any description. I can only use stock rom fashed in kies.
PS. I get a small red mark apear in the to left corner of the screen as the phone boots and shows the samsung logo.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S 2 and I recently installed MIUI on my device. Didn't like it, so I flashed it back to the stock settings and now my Wifi isn't functioning. It will turn on and scan for networks for a few seconds, then turn off automatically.
View 9 Replies View Relatedok im looking for a good custom rom for this phone.
my main reason for this is to get back app2sd and yes i know rooting will grant me a simular function.
What custom rom to use would be most welcome since i dont know wich support this phone.
secondly i would love information on what "custom rom" samsung provided via the use of volume down+power key at startup and if using it voids my warranty.
I really like the stock look of the ICS(yes the one that Galaxy Nexus has).So I was wondering if there is anyway to get rid of the Touchwiz from Galaxy SGSIII.After a small Google research that I did it seems that a user is not able to get rid of Touchwiz unless it replace it with another Launcher like the Launcher Pro.So what I found out that the only way to do this is to flash the phone with a custom rom, which will not contain any OEM launchers or any other third party launchers. Any kind of launcher that will make SGS III look like Galaxy Nexus's stock launcher,I am looking only for the stock launcher only.
So I was wondering if there is any custom rom to get rid of touchwiz and leave all the other goodies that Samsung has included like the Smart-Stay(the one that tracks your eyes in order to keep the screen on),All share,etc,... in SGS III or the only way is to buy the Nexus?
I currently own a Samsung galaxy s2, which is still in warranty.
I was wondering if after i flash it with a custom ROM of ICS, i was thinking about sticking on Resurrection Remix ics v1.0 PRO.
If it were possible to literally put the stock operating system back onto it, potentially reapplying my warranty?
This is a request to all the super awesome devs here on xda. make/port a custom JELLYBEAN rom(preferably with stock android or CM UI) for Samsung Galaxy S Duos(GT-S7562) ?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy government gave us galaxy (10.1) tablets instead of books. But unfortunately this tablets's OS is not a normal android 3.2; It has been customized and we can't access many applications or other thinks. So I've decided to make a new custom rom for this tablets to offer in a competition of project. I have 2,5 months for this competition and I should make this rom. I've downloaded the android source (I want to work on 4.1jb) It is 4.2gb on my ubuntu 12.04 and I don't understand anything till see your answer on stackoverflow. I read and have some knowledge about system but It is not enough.. I know c# lang and I know general coding for 4 years.
I should edit the launcher (I said desktop but I don't know how calls It..). It has programs and widgets tabs and I want to put a new tab here. And anyone cannot see programs and widgets tab without any permission. This permission will give students's tablets by teacher ('s tablet). So, students can't play anything in the lesson but when it is over, stundents can play anything what they want.. Teacher will give the permission before leaving class..
This is what I want to do.. Briefly, I want to make a custom rom but directly using android source codes.Because I think I can't make this rom with using kitchen or just editing .apk files..
I just installed a custom bootanimation.zip on my phone and it looked like all was well for a moment until the screen went blank 1/3 or so through the animation. The beginning worked properly and the animation began to play, my old startup sound then play(I never changed that) but then the screen went black several seconds after the start sound played.

I have an issue since i start installing custom ROMS. So, is not my first time installing a ROM. I have installed stock ROM's in the past. However, not custom ones. I have rooted my device in the past and even now before installing a custom ROM. I have installed through TWRP recovery various custom ROMS such as Omega, AOSP, ARROW, WanamLite, Google Edition and CyanogenMod but none of them worked fine for me.
In some ROMS I might not have reception (don't worry the IMEI is the same and backed up). However, in EVERY ROM my dialler crashes; for example, when im trying to make a call it freezes and the screen goes black without seeing anything. On the other hand, when I receive a call, screen takes ages to appear and show the caller or even accept the call. In addition, I have NO SOUND at all in every ROM as well.
I believe that the kernel might be the problem. This is because when i am booting the phone I always see the following:
I have tried clearing cache, dalvik, removing battery, installing stock ROMS etc.... and nothing changed!
My mobile is not updating the android market/playstore when i have any custom rom installed. I badly want a custom rom WITH a working playstore. GT-S5360
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I flashed the latest nightly and stable Cyanogenmod yesterday and it as garbage. Keyboard wasn't working, wifi, lots and lots of problems. Then I flashed Vision-X, which was very nice, however my wifi was not working. I figured it was the kernel so I tried to download one and flash it, didn't fix it. So I went back to stock. Then I came across Omega ROM, which looks amazing. I want it, but I'm afraid that if I go through the flashing process, the wifi won't work again, and to get it back to stock is time consuming. I came across this page: [REF] GALAXY S4 (I9500/I9505) GSM / NON-HLOS.bin - MODEM'S Collection (Odin/CWM/TWRP) - xda-developers
which is supposed to let you flash one of those files in odin and it corrects the wifi issue. The problem is, how in the world are you supposed to know what version to get? There's like 50 listed. I have a Sprint SPH-L20, which is another thing that confuses me, I figured out it's a "I9505", but no where on the box, or in the phone does it say "I9505".
After attempting to root my device with [URL] .... My device boots up, but touchscreen doe not work. What can i do?
