Android Adblock (beta) tried, but didn't get far. I would guess this is because the author tried to reimplement ABP in Java from scratch.
1) Could a skeleton proxy be written with just enough code so the ABP core could be used as is? (Java skeleton app running Javascript) (Yes. May be slow.)
2) Any automated tool that could perform the conversion from JS to Java?

I rooted my LG Thrill 4G (LG optimus 3D) with superoneclick which went smoothly and was fine. For some reason without me not even knowing the basics of a ROM decided to get an app ROM Toolbox I believe and play around with it. I did not download any ROM I was just looking at a cyano something rom when all of a sudden my phone froze. I tried turning it off I even waited 30 minutes for it to unfreeze but nothing happened so I pulled the battery. When I turned the phone on it just stays at the LG logo. I went ahead and pulled the battery again and started the phone in system recovery, but I get this no matter what I try to do:

E:Can't open CACHE:recovery/log
Any tool that will install roms using a computer? I just want to be able to use a computer program to install roms without messing around with the phone.
I haven't had much luck with "adb shell recovery --update_package=/sdcard/rom.zip".
Or any way to convert the updater-script files in flashable zips into Windows batch files?

Am I wrong in thinking that a dd based tool would be better than having to rely on a 3rd party recovery? If you used to dd, you wouldn't have to deal with any of that stuff right? Could you not just make images of all the partitions of your device and store them on your computer as backup? Then if you get bricked, could you not use those images again and just re-image the drive?
That's the problem I'm having with my device. My buttons will no longer function so I can't flash anything in the recovery and using Odin (Samsung) to flash works but no existing roms or kernels that I can find will fix the touchscreen.
However, I can access the device through ADB and I'm assuming I could get the device to show its partitions on Linux right? So then could I use someone else's existing partitions and re-image those on my device?

But what I'm going to share is something which has been very helpful to me to 'functionally' test the web application our team has been building and I thought this may help you as well. So even if you are a tester, try to think the way developer's think for some time, I'm sure this would be useful to you too. Before I go ahead, I think we all understand that Functional Testing is testing the functionality of our application which means you'd probably be going through a login using some credentials, clicking some links, verifying some outputs - in simplest terms. Now just give it a thought that if you can automate these i.e. invest some time for once and then while you are sipping a cup of coffee, someone is testing what you coded. Change your code 10 times and run your test 10 times to ensure nothing breaks, so easy. Not just this if you have continuous integration server setup which runs your tests, you'd come to know immediately if and when someone else broke your code. Believe me ones who have used it, feel it is fantastic.
There are a variety of tools available for this over internet each with pros/cons but I'm going to share some info here about one which I liked very much and have been using for a while now. I'd also share why I preferred it over others.Ok, no longer prolonging the suspense the tool I'm talking about is called Canoo WebTest (webtest.canoo.com) which is a free Open Source tool for automated testing of web applications in a very effective way. The primary reason why I liked it is that it is FAST; very fast ... most of the test cases that I've written are executed in less than a minute and that too over remote applications deployed on servers on the other side of globe. Second reason for liking it so much is the ease of writing; very quickly you can build up your tests. Though they have released a WebTest recorder plug-in which when installed in Mozilla Firefox can record the script for you, but believe me the more you start writing there test cases, the less reliant you will become on the recorder. Third thing is these tests do not use a browser so that completely eliminated browser-specific issues which some tools are plagued with.

how to backup one of my phones entire rom package and put it on my other phone that I messed up via the Smart Phone Flash Tool (the exact same model: Star Touch Diamond 2 B2000 MT6573).
The new phone works perfect, I have never touched it, my old phone which is the same model I deleted and formatted the system so I need to put the stock rom on.
I was able to do a "backup" of my new phone, but when i try to flash the preloader and uboot, etc, the sp flash tool says error loading file, or region too large with overlap.
By the way, my phone is not bricked, but I cannot access recovery! I was able to find and install another fully assembled rom to my phone and the phone does power on with lights, but it doesnt have the display driver I need so I cannot see anything.
The reason I flashed another rom was because the phone was essentially bricked and wouldnt do anything, and that was the only rom I could find on the internet that was a full package (preloader, uboot, system, etc) but isnt compatible with phone.
Anyhow, if I understand correctly I need to use hexadecimal calculator to find length of partitions of original phones rom, readback the files, somehow edit the preloader file? then flash them back to the old phone?
