Nov 18, 2013I have the google drive application on my desktop so that I store all my files both on my pc and in the cloud, but is there a way to have google drive on my phone and to automatically upload pictures I take using the phones camera but not to have all my files downloaded and synced to my phone as I don't need to have all my files in three places, is there a way of using my phone to view all of my files and possibly download them as if they were on my phone but not actually have them sitting there taking up all my space
so it would be like having the gallery I currently have and being able to view all my photos pretty much as normal but instead it is all stored online
when I say files I only mean photos and videos.
Samsung Epic 4G :: Low RAM And Programs Automatically Running In The Background
Oct 23, 2010When my Epic boots off a fresh restart I have approximately 140M of Ram available but over the next day for so it drops to as low as 60M and I will notice sometimes when i kill apps with ATK it kills 22 apps and then it will raise my RAM up to ~120. It seems that when my ram runs lows it shuts off my live wallpaper and reverts to the standard. My question is why do all these programs load and eat up the RAM when i have never used them. IE media hub, amazon mp3 , qik etc etc they all just start on their own running in the background. Is there anyway to get them to stop loading and is killing all of them at once a bad idea?

Aug 3, 2010Why in the world would Google not support this? I have not found a solution that does this as a "backup". I have Lookout but it does not backup your SD card. Is there a way to have your images on your SD card backed up to Picasa as an automated process? I think I lost some recently after I did a factory reset the image numbers started over I think and it has overwritten about 50 images.

Dec 31, 2011I had the issue of Gmail not syncing on my Dx2. For that matter, nothing related to Google would sync! I could do it manually, but it would not do it automatically. I also didn't have any check boxes next to the individual items in the gmail settings!
What I found is that the Motorola Power widget controls ALL sync features! Almost like a main power switch for sync. Make sure you have the sync feature on this widget turned on! As soon as I turned it on, everything worked like it's supposed to.
I am not saying that this is the answer to everyone's issue, but it worked for me! I was on the phone with VZW for about an hour trying to figure this out and we were about to do a factory reset and Josh suggested that we check this..... IT WORKED!

Jun 12, 2013lately in my Asus Padfone 2, the wifi keeps turning on automatically without my permission. Everytime I wake the screen from lock screen, I can already see the WiFi indicator is on above, it's driving me nuts I have to turn it back off every once in a while. This only happen lately when I install many apps from Store I can't remember, so I reckon one of those apps is the main cause of this problem. Which in my running apps turns on my WiFi automatically?

Resigning the APK doesn't work, because it breaks access to Google Drive API, but just replacing resources.arsc in the device (I have root access - CM10.1) with rebuilt one worked. The result works fine, however after day or so Keep is uninstalled from device automatically. I guess that's because the signature of resources.arsc is obviously broken. But is there a way to avoid this automatic uninstall?

I frequently update to the latest nightlies when I am on a specific rom. However every time I do so the rom will reinstall system apps that I delete because they are useless. To delete system apps I have to use an app which is annoying.

Feb 8, 2012I used to have T-Mobile G1 (HTC Dream), and when it captured a picture, it set the name of it automatically to the exact time and date in which the picture was taken (for example, a picture I have on my computer: 2011-11-14 08.04.54.jpg).Then I switched to MyTouch4GSlide, and it indexes the pictures, so the names are "IMAG0001.jpg", "IMAG0015.jpg" and so on.I want to return to the previous state, i.e. make the phone name pictures according to the time.if I look hard enough I'll find some image-capturing app which does that, but I'd like to stick to the given image-capturing interface.I am posting this in the general Android forum because I guess it's not just in my device.
