is there an option,app or something to add a show a name in Statusbar?
In IOS they can write things on the left side from statusbar (only with jalbreak i think).
Can I do that in Android too?

I have tried to modify my rom on MTK6589 device but on CWM flashing it says Error, STATUS 0. I have tried edify and amend scripts but still no luck.

Yes, I could change the picture, but I'd rather find a way to make the icons black or to make the status bar black with white icons. When I have an app open, the status bar is black with white icons. Why can't I get that on the home page? My phone is not rooted and I don't plan to do that.

It would open the zip file no problem but after a few seconds while hanging on the installing update, it says error flashing update and there's a line stating "(status 0)". I used multitool to get the above, now I am attempting to flash any rom that is compatible, I am finding I receive the same error each time I attempt to install zip from SD, a status 7, which as I understand is a bootloader issue??

First: I have to edit the SystemUI.apk or the Framework-res.apk? (because in systemui i dont have battery icons, but yes wifi and etc); And in framework-res i have all the statusbar icons.
Second: I have to edit the .png images with patch 9.png or something?
Third: All the images to replace have to be exactly the same size of pixel? or 2 or 3 pixel more high or width doesnt matters?

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy ROM for the Note 2 is a TW base (people want the S-Pen functions). And they like the AOSP feel so i decided to try and make a ROM that is AOSP themed. Well i have the launcher and a few AOSP themed apps such as the messaging app.
The flashers were very satisfied with my work so far. But they wanted an AOSP themed status bar. Meaning some AOSP battery images wifi and so on. I decided just just replace the EXACT images. I used a cm10 ROM to get the pngs. I also did use the newest Apktool to do it. I did all the framework installation. I decompiled both and started transfering. Here is what i did. I went to the drawable-xhdpi folder in both ROMs. They had pretty much identical png names. But the icons were different (one being the blue theme) so i took the blue icons (battery and wifi) and transfered them to my rom. I made sure that only the pngs with the same names were transfered. so there wasnt any issue compiling.
Next i compiled the APK file.Then i used my backup systemui.apk file to transfer the META-INF folder to the new one using 7-zip.Then i went and signed it and used dsixda's android kitchen to zipalign it. Then after all that i pulled that apk from the zipaligned folder and put it on my phone's sd card. I have the root explorer app. I move it to my /system/app folder. It moved successfully. Then i reboot and when it comes back up i dont have a status bar. And my wallpaper is black for a little while and then goes back to the feather thing.
I have tried signing and not signing. Zipaligning and not zipaligning.I am really wanting the AOSP themed icons in the status bar.
Is there anyway to have the status bar always hidden BUT you can swipe from the top of the screen to show the status bar..then disappear after some time

How do we increase only the height of the status bar?.
This is not a dpi resolution question because dpi changes the size of everything on the screen and the intention here is to only increase the status bar height, and of course the size of the contents within the status bar accordingly.
