I have a samsung galaxy 5 and no internet on my phone (but it also works on phone data plan) i use Wifi, the trick is for me to have wifi on so i can recieve messages and once i do, i just turn off my wifi and then open the whatsapp message. after that you can even type a reply if you want send it, close whatsapp completly and start your wifi again. it wel then send the message but you wont have come online, my friends still think its freaky that i was last online 3 days ago while im still talking to them the only downside is that you yourself then cant see when someone else was last online cause to get that information you need to be in the message and online.

Mar 25, 2010I've had Wave secure installed for quite some time now and today the market app said that there was an update available to download. I clicked on it and there was a Note as follows: Due to a Samsung Galaxy firmware bug it can't be supported. The version number is shown as 3.0.0.62. I haven't updated because as far as I was aware the previous version was working ok, though it often sent emails to my wife stating that my phone had been stolen - usually when I was updating the rom etc. Has anyone else tried this latest update?

Jul 16, 2010There's an update.zip for a port of the Galaxy-S live wallpapers here. That contains all the live wallpapers included on the international Galaxy-S. The only one missing from the Captivate is "Ocean Wave". Can someone more familiar with this sort of thing modify that zip to only include "Ocean Wave" as I don't want to risk my other Live Wallpapers. Or does anybody know a different way to get it on the Captivate? (I tried using ADB to just install the .apk for Ocean Wave, and got a force close when I ran it, so that was no good.)

Now the problem is that I zipped all the contents and renamed it to apk again but after this the file isn't getting installed (I have uninstalled whatsapp on my phone because we cannot replace it).

Arrived today (free from O2) is a Samsung Galaxy Fame (not yet got home, so can't tell you exact model number etc).
My question is whether there is an easy way to copy contacts (and maybe messages, profiles, pictures, etc), and if what should I do in what order? I am completely new to Android.
This is a 2nd phone, which I was going to just disconnect before the churn team offered a free phone for �11 per month!).

Mar 29, 2014When I use whatsapp to send a picture,as I select it,from my gallery,and it asks me if I want to send it to my chosen contact and I say yes,it then sends the picture before I can add any text with it.So the recipient ends up getting two messages from me,the picture and then the the text.My phone is Motorola MotoG with KitKat4.4.2,if that makes any difference?
