I'm having problem with my watapps .. Every time I open the app. It's will straight away go to one of the same group instead of the main page showing all the chats. I have to press the back button. In order to read my msg by any other group chat or chats. I'm using samsung note 2

This is my first ever smart phone and android phone so excuse me if this is a silly question! I've noticed that after closing the web browser (well hitting the home key as there is no obvious exit option) and then re-opening it, the browser shows the page I was last at which makes me wonder if it's still running in the background and consuming battery (same with the PDF viewer). Am I right in thinking this and if so how do I close it?
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo i've always had a go widget clock on my main page, when i would click the clock, the clock app of the phone would open up showing alarms/ worldclock/stopwatch/timer .. well as of today it no longer opens up when i click on the clock. I took the clock off my main page and re inserted it. Still having the same issue.

Am creating a small application In View Page am doing update and delete operation from database am displaying data s in the top (ex 10 records) and bottom i have 2 buttons Edit and delete if user clicks Edit button it redirects to Edit page In Edit page i am displaying content for editing also i have 2 buttons update and cancel if user click update again am redirecting(using start activity) to view page It is not displaying new records. i went back to main page and then i clicked view page now it is updated How to solve this ??? Another problem is At the same if user clicks back button it is going all page which i went (through redirected page)

A couple days ago I tried to set a mobile data limit at 6gb using the stock app. For some reason it thought I wanted a limit set at 500gb. Since then I have not been able to reopen the app to reset it or turn off the limit, settings crashes and sends me back to my home screen. I have rebooted my phone multiple times and cleared the cache, but I'm unsure where to go from here.

and i've been trying to root this so i can use other application and wifi tether however everytime i tried i always get this error " MAIN FOLDER IS OLDER , MAIN UPDATE FAIL!"
I used unrevoked - does not work then i restore to factory setting THEN i tried simpleroot get message Main Folder is older, main update fail!. I also have tried to do Restart the PHONE and press the power button and hold the volume button up (but i have upload the PC36IMG.ZIP before i reboot) THIS does not work either get same message.

When I try to display a webpage on our intranet it reverts back to the homepage or previous page after about 3 hours. I need it to display constantly. I read somewhere that it was a Download Manager issue and disabling it would work but I can't find where to disable it. Also it was stated that Flash was an issue but i tried uninstalling it and it just reinstalled itself and the problem kept occurring. I just want to display a page in a browser and for it to stay on the screen (full screen) until I manually navigate away from it. I plan to leave it on for weeks at a time.

Initially what I tried was getting the time when the app is loaded from the server and then taking the difference with the current time from the device. But by doing that if the user changes the time then I will not be getting the actual time. Its not possible to hit the server again for the same. Is there any way to achieve this in android?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an Android application which has four tabs (I use a main TabActivity with TabHost and TabSpecs).
In one of my sub activity (activity opened in a tab), i need to open a tab not by clicking on the tab title and i don't know how to do this.
For example, i have a button in my activity and when i click on it, it opens a different tab.
For the moment, it is what i do:
Intent intent = new Intent(myActivity.this, myTabActivity.class);
intent.putExtra("ComeFrom", true);
intent.setFlags(Intent.FLAG_ACTIVITY_CLEAR_TOP);
startActivity(intent);
Then in the TabActivity, if i get true reading the "ComeFrom" extra i open the wished tab but the problem is that it kills all the other activity. So, if someone knows a better (cleaner) way to do that trick.
I did a quick search and didn't see this tip, but I just accidentally discovered that if you hit the volume key up or down it will scroll the browser page up or down respectively....just thought i would throw that out there in case no one knew..

The concept I would like to implement is the following: Check the file on a set period of time (for example one second), extract changes (get the data that was written in the last period) and do something with these data.
I would be very thankful if anyone of you could give any suggestion or point to any useful resource that could help to solve the given problem.
