My touch panel is broken and not working. The device is booting up (ZTE Blade) since it is pattern locked i am not able to enter into phone or copy the files.
Is there any workaround?

View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter a hard reset on my first Hero, the factory/system wallpaper files disappeared. Thereafter, I was unable to set the background for the lock screen to anything but the default. When I go to set lock screen background, the device reports "no media found".
Now that I have another Hero, I would like to backup those 22 factory background/wallpaper files.
1) Is that possible? If so, how? Does it require me to root the device so I can actually "copy out" the files?
2) Does there exist a backup software that can do a full system file backup? If so, please recommend one.
3) I have seen several file manager-like applications. Do any of these applications browse system files and allow one to copy them? (Is rooting reqired)?
4) Does anyone have copies of the system/default wallpapers? If so, will you please zip them up and post it here?
5) WHY did the pictures disappear after a hard reset? If they are part of the ROM, why did they not return after a reset?

I have an HTC Hero200 that my tenant threw into the pool. I recovered the phone after about an hour or so and figured it was trash. Several hours later it lit up with HTC on the phone. I figured WTH and pulled the battery and left it to dry out. I put it in a bag of rice and left it for several days. I took it apart and wiped the screen, window, and all connectors with alcohol and let it sit open for several hours. When I power it up, it says HTC and every once in a while it briefly shows a butterfly on the display for a few seconds and then reboots.
I am not an android user, but in searching the web figured out how to get it to boot using the power button and volume key. When it comes up is says touch panel fail. When I go th HBoot Mode, it says "no image or wrong image" for all the files it scrolls through. Is it possible for me to recover this phone and use it for a media player and camera?
I have a WinXP laptop that can use my router, and an HTC V One that can use my router. But they don't see each other, and I would like to transfer files from the laptop to the phone without that pesky USB cable.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to format my phone, it's kinda full and going very slow. Here comes the question: Is it a good way to back up my android phone by connecting it to my laptop and copy all the files and maps in to my D: drive. I don't mind if it doesn't my text messages and contacts.
I am using a rooted Samsung Galaxy S plus (i9001).
I need to copy files to the system partition of the emulator. As it is read only by default, I use the command "adb remount" to have write permissions and I can then copy the files.
My problem is that when I close the emulator and that I restart it, the copied files were missing. It's very annoying because I must write file permissions that are read at startup of the emulator (platform.xml file in /system/etc/permissions)
I dropped my phone and broke the screen underlying the glass. Over the course of the next few hours the screen turned black. I would like to get some of the pictures off of the phone I took but i don't know how to do that. The phone still turns on you just can't see anything and when i try to connect it to the computer it sees the E and F drives but won't allow me to access them.

View 6 Replies View RelatedQuite mystic issue with my Hero. Never dropped my phone and always handle it with care. Suddenly couple a days ago with normal daily usage screen goes black. I think it was a normal crash and pull out battery for reboot. Device rebooted normally but when it comes to SIM Unlock screen there was only empty boxes without numbers so I again pull out battery and now phone stucks in Hero splash screen almost 10 minutes and reboots over and over again. If I boot up with pressing down HOME and Power nothing happens. it just again HERO Splash and boot loop. When I press BACK and Power in FASTBOOT-menu there is TOUCH PANEL-fail. I think my touch screen is broken or there is some other things totally messed up (???) but what confused me is why I cannot access recovery mode with HOME + Power. Anyway I reinstalled Stock ROM in Fastboot-mode but phone is still in bootloop.

Im trying to make my own ROM for my android device. Im following a guide from this site. The guide explain two ways to get the system folder copy to my sd card.
First of all using de Android terminal emulator, and using comands. I tried that way but it keeps telling me: SH TAR: not found
Then other way i tried from ES explorer, copying de system folder manually but at 45% of copyng pop up a error about " cant copy run -as"
When I tap "Stop All" in System Panel it opens an application or program, sometimes it has opened GoogleEarth, Barcode scanner, mostly it opens the Phone page. How can I avoid this so it goes to home when I stop all? I've tried going to Home before stopping, that doesn't work, when it opened Google Earth I hadn't used that for days.

Memory says 71% used (and 117.6 M available) or 29% free. What does this mean? I don't even have anything open except for Lookout in the background (antivirus and backup disabled) and System Panel on. If it's ROM, how could I be using 71% doing practically nothing?
View 7 Replies View RelatedFor some reason the history tab on the system panel app no longer works. When I click it nothing happens. I'm not sure why it stopped. Every other part of the program works fine. Any idea what the problem could be?
Also I'm typing this from the default browser and it seems to be working just fine, I'm impressed.
I downloaded System Panel, and its cool as hell I really like it. But after a day went by I noticed I stopped receiving email notifications. So I assumed System Panel was the culprit. So I proceeded to uninstall it and voila, I'm getting email alerts again. So I reinstalled it and made sure all the HTC system services were under exclusion, because I thought that maybe I killed the app that handles the email notifications. Well after reinstall and making sure that all the critical HTC system services were set to exclusions, It started again. No email notifications. What am I doing wrong? The EVO is my first Android Phone and I really like System Panel. I just want them to play nice together. My 24 hours are up so I cant request a refund. But If I cant figure it out I will accept the 3.00 dollar loss and go back with ATK.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter reading the thread on here about not needing a task manager, I removed mine and downloaded system panel just to keep an eye on whats always running and be able to kill any rogue apps. However, whenever I open system panel lite, its only ever the one that seems to be using the most CPU in the foreground apps, with it having the most bar full on the left. So what I'm confused about is that whether its normally just using a lot of my CPU to keep track of things, in which case I should uninstall it, or whether its a case of it showing up as using so much because I am using it at the time of checking to check the CPU usage.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having problems with my Droid Incredible battery not lasting a full day; even when I don't think I'm doing a lot. Maybe its the K9 Mail applications or my stock monitor, or some other application that is using a lot of power.
I got the System Panel application to help, but it doesn't see to give me a view of what application is using up the power.
My phone is lagging so bad, I do the partition wipes, & run system panel but I don't know what it means.. Look at & 1. Explain what they mean & 2. See if they can tell what's going on? I also took a pic of the app sucker app.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I connect my DX to a computer with the USB cable, I usually use "PC Mode" or "Windows Media Sync" instead of "USB Mass Storage". Because (a) then I can still access the SD card on the phone, and (b) I don't need to remember to unmount the SD card from the PC before disconnecting the cable.
The strange thing is that on my work computer, I can copy files from the phone to the computer no problem. But on my home computer, when I try to copy a file, nothing happens. (I have Windows XP on both computers). I see the SD card directory tree in Explorer on the PC. I drag a file from one of the SC card folders into a folder on my PC. But then nothing happens.
If I use "USB Mass Storage", then it works well okay.
I anyone else noticing issues with System Panel on the leaked Froyo Rom? I assume 2.2 handles memory in a different way, and System Panel doesn't read it correctly. It shows all of my apps running without anything being cached. Also, the CPU clock seems to be running at 700MHz or more constantly instead of coming down to ~300 or so like it showed on 2.1. However the CPU graph on the top left does come down like normal.
