My s3 got stuck on the boot up samsung galaxy s3 screen so i pulled the battery out and restarted the phone and now it doesnt start up at all its stuck on this static screen i cant get to recover mode but i can get to download mode i was just wondering what the problem might be and if there is a way to fix the phone? I have attached a photo to show you what it looks like.

Is there a way of telling the phone with apps (not necessary for the proper functioning of the phone) start at start-up and which don't? I hate for unnecessary apps to auto start.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI rooted my device (Galaxy Nexus GSM / Maguro) weeks ago and switched from the stock OS to Cyanogenmod 10.
Some days ago I received the (so called "stable") update to 10.1 and installed it (gapps 121212 too).
Unfortunately, the stable 10.1 turned out to be rather unstable: Apps (Google Play Music, Skype, Youtube, SMS, ...) either crashed on device startup or as soon as the app was started.
SMS frequently froze the whole phone. The former rather fast and stable device became an unstable and failure-prone device
Installing diverse nightly builds didn't improve the situation, so I decidet to roll back to 10.0.
Again, a bad decision! After installing it, CM won't boot any more. I can see the boot-image (the circle of death, as I call it by now) and that's it!
I tried to reboot in recovery mode, but I cannot switch options with the volume keys. The only option I have is to boot into the broken system...
Below the android icon it reads: Downloading.. Do not turn off target!
Nexus Root Toolkit does'nt recognize it (neither as fastboot nor as adb device).
My computer system ist Windows XP SP 3.
BTW: I don't know if this Information is relevant: The Android-Icon in recovery mode is not a lying one with its belly open but the standard 2D-Android-icon. And, perhaps more grave: Due to security concerns, ADB was disabled in my (then working) Cyanogenmod-OS...
i installed the ics4 as shown in XDA web site and every thing was alright but when it start in first boot it gave me screen of welcome and change language then chose the time zone, when i press next to proceed it gave me error message (unfortunately, com.google.android.gsf.login has stopped). And gave me two choice (ok&report)if i press OK it return me back to the welcome screen. i tried to install a new radio ROM, another kernel but useless.

Wince6 works properly now, and at the beginning android too, the problem is that now Android system dont start, seems to start to load but remain in the load screen with "android" word animated ..
i have a htc amaze 4g and i wanted to instal a custom rom. these are the steps i followed. first i unlocked the phone from htcdev. then using "htc amaze 4g aio kit by Hasoon 2000's" i rooted it .Atm i'm using team win recovery v2.3.1.0. I tried to instal cm9 cm10 and energy but they all stop at boot.

I have installed adb plus.. But some apps don't start because of it.. An error appears saying "you have to disable adblock to run the app".. I cannot each time to uninstall adblock and reinstall it after I've used that app..

View 2 Replies View RelatedI rooted my One X a while back and it has been fine and only now I decided to install a ROM.
I went for Cyanogenmod 9 and followed the instructions to install it on my phone.
IT went smoothly and runs okay as far as I can tell apart from Recovery Mode.
Everytime I go to boot into recovery it just starts the phone as usual. It doesn't get stuck on the boot screen or anything, it starts just like normal but it doesn't start in recovery!
I have tried doing to through the Power + Volume Down method and through CLockworkMod app, no luck.
I have also tried to reflash Recovry but it still doesn't start.
I want to stop and start tasker by itself via a bashscript since I see no other way to do so. This works if you put in terminal line by line:

Yesterday i saw under notifications that "google+" is auto-updating to latest version. but because of i don't want to use google+ (and i can't uninstall it), i pressed and hold (during the update-process - on the notifications bar) and tapped on "App Info". From there i selected to stop the task, cleared the data and deactivated. Then it was gone also from the notifications. -- i know i could have tapped only once and stopped the update in playstore, but i just wanted to make it quick.
But the problem started there: when i want to open playstore, it shows up for a second then closes back again with a FC. Reboot didn't worked.
I have done clearing data of "Google Play Store" and "Google Services Framework" and rebooting but this did not solve the problem.i received 3 Update-Notifications for some apps but when i tapped on the notification, playstore opens then closes after a second the same way.
I got also a com.google.gapps (as far as i remember) FC-error sometimes..I wanted to install the playstore from an apk, but interestingly i couldn't download anything from the (stock) internet browser (the download does simply not start or the download-page closes). I also tried with Chrome to download, but there i even got FCs when i wanted to download anything. So i think this has to do something with the playstore-problem.is there a way i could fix this, without restoring the whole phone?
This morning I installed the newest android update (4.2.2) on my Samsung Galaxy SII+. The first notifications that I got after the installation where Google+ has crashed and Skype has crashe. That two apps are fixed by deleting and installing again, but many of my apps (the most are games) won't start anymore. I know that I can fix it with deleting and installing again, but with some apps I was very buzy and then I'll lose all my progres. As example with head soccer it took me 5 days to get a special country. How to make my apps working without losing progress? I can also wait on further updates for the games but Head Soccer was just update 1 week ago and it'll take a long time before the new update will come.

I recently rooted my galaxy 2 sgh-t989d. Then i installed some root apps including tor and every app on my phone goes through tor now. My bittorrent still worked. In between I think I flashed a clockwork recovery mod through rom manager. Now my torrents won't start and get no peers. I've tried utorrent and bittorrent.
