Aug 23, 2010I am looking for an app for my phone that can scan barcodes & keep inventory of food in the house, and pull reciepes from that list. Idea is to scan barcodes as you shop, and then when you get hungry, have a list of recipes you can choose from that you have ingredients on hand for.When you cook the list is updated for what was used.Something that integrates w/ ShopSavvy and one of the better reciepe apps would be awesome.

May 13, 2012I have been trying to find a way to use an android phone for real time GPS Tracking of my car.
1. Phone would be attached to a charger (hidden)
2. Phone would be programmed to switch on an app with GPS
3. Now if the car is switched off the phone should still remain ON till the battery drains since the charging would happen only when car is switched ON
4. I have seen a lot of custom roms like Cynogen and MIUI and there is a case that if my phone is off and I put the phone on charging then the phone switches ON automatically.
5. But the problem is that suppose the battery is 0% and the car is switched ON the phone would start since the charging would start and suppose the charging gets the phone to like 10% battery then if the car is switched OFF then the phone would switch OFF ( I want that the phone should remain ON)
Since I would not have access to the phone as it is hidden it would be difficult to manually switch the phone ON.
Is there any way to ensure that the phone remains in the ON state even after the charging has been withdrawn.

Well, of course I'd like to use referral tracking. It would be my whole reason to use Google Analytics instead of a more full featured analytics.
But what does this mean exactly?
Does it mean: Start the tracker somewhere else? (where? onStart) Don't start it at all - it will get started for you? You can't use a tracker if you are using referral tracking?

Dec 14, 2009I travel on the road a lot for work, and traveling expenses are probably my largest tax write-off. Yet, I've been unable to find a nice app in the marketplace that allows me to simply input my starting odometer and my ending odometer when I get home, and arrive at a simple calculation as to how many miles I traveled on that particular trip and what my approximate tax write-off would be.
On the Iphone, I used to use an app called "MileBug". It was great. Sadly I haven't been able to find anything that compares to that app in android. Do any of you know of a good app for such a purpose? I'm not interested in the plethora of apps available to monitor my gas mileage or my MPG. I just want a simple application that allows me to quickly record my miles traveled per trip.
