I like many others like to have there music organized and tagged properly. I know Apples has Itunes to do this for them. Is there a program that does similar for Android or a good solution for this? I know about doubletwist and dont really wanna use that way.

Coming from iphone/itunes and want to know what is a good music managing app that I can use?
I really like the feature in itunes where it keeps your media organized in folders. I also like how you can delete the song in itunes, sync your phone and the song will be gone.
I really need these features in the music app I select.
Does anybody here use a program to manage all their media, specifically music? If so which one works the best?
View 25 Replies View RelatedSo, I switched over to android from an iphone when the S5 came out - partially because I loath apple, partially because it seemed like(and is) an awesome phone.
However, I'm having one minor issue with it, and that's music management. Currently I'm just using the google play app, but my issue with THAT is I'd prefer to keep all my music ON the device so that I don't use data just to listen to music(Yes, it does cache it, but still). I've been putting my favorite albums as "keep on device", but the biggest issue is I have a LOT of music, and I don't want to have to go through every album and click the pin.
So,is there a way to make it so the play app uses "store on device" as the default? are there any other programs/apps to manage music on android similar to itunes?
I've been using doubleTwist to sync & manage my music on my HTC EVO 4G (and Palm Pre) and I've had just about enough of its slow iTunes syncing, slow device syncing and overall clunkiness (yes, I'm a previous user of the iPod/iTunes and Zune/Zune Software systems). Though I love the doubleTwist player for Android I'm done with doubleTwist. And no I'm not interested in Salling Media Sync (especially since its not free).
If I manage things myself by manually syncing/copying music to my Android (i.e., artist/album/ folder structure under /sdcard/music/):
[1] Where do I place the playlists (in .m3u format)?: /sdcard/music/playlists OR /sdcard/music/playlist1.m3u, playlist2.m3u, etc.
[2] what Android players are compatible with this format/structure (i.e., that'll pick up the playlists just fine)?
Store or stream? Combination of both? I'll probably transfer some of my music to the SD card but I'm mostly going to stream it. Pandora seems to always know what's on my mind or what I like. I also got an mSpot beta invite courtesy of Phandroid so I'll sync my iTunes to my mSpot account and stream it. mSpot is really great. If anyone has else is in the mSpot beta take their survey, they'll give you an extra 2 gigs of space making it a total of 4 gigs for free.
View 32 Replies View RelatedI've been working at adding music, and installed iSync to pull playlists and tracks from iTunes (other computer software is not an option as the wife LOVES iTunes and her iPod.)Than being said, the iSync program is easy-to-use and nice, but I'm finding that the EVO's music app is taking its own sweet time to recognize the tracks from the SD card.I can wait, but my fear is that it will need to do this each time I launch the app? Is this the case, or is it a one-time thing?Any suggestions on other ways to manage music and playlists on the EVO?

One of the best thing about the iPhone was that it was an ipod, a really great music player. Since I am new to Android, I am still learning how to use it.
I am using DoubleTwist to sync my music to the phone. I was able to import all my info from Itunes over to DT, but the problem was syncing it to the phone. I am not able to sync my playlist to the phone. I am able to sync the music itself but when I try to play it on my phone it is a mess. Is it possible to get my playlist to sync with this phone?
This has been going on for awhile; not Froyo related When I have Slacker Radio or Pandora on, and I plug my phone into an external speaker though the headphone jack, another music player,(Mixzing, Mspot, Double twist, etc) will start to play music that is stored on my storage card! Even if I force close it, in a minute or so it starts itself up again.. This only happens if I am running Slacker Radio or Pandora.. anyone have a suggestion? This is annoying as hell, since I like listening to Slacker/Pandora through my external speakers, but having 2 songs going at once is bizarre!!

The only thing I miss so far about the iPhone is the ability to use iTunes to manage the app folders and rearrange the layout from my pc. It's much easier when you want to move multiple apps or when you have a large number of apps. It doesn't look like Vies has this feature.

Well I don't really have problem with Google contacts, but since our phones are also capable to show FB and many accounts contacts i would be awesome to combien all the useful infos....something like ENHANCING my Gooogle contacts using other accounts infos (like picture ansd birthdays, among others)
I don{t know if this is a temporary issu....but My FB contact are not synching well and and pictures are not always synched.

I have a GS2 skyrocket running CM10.1 and i've read that task managers are rather obsolete now. However I have noticed that when I let my phone run standard app process limit the battery life is around 30% worse than when I set the app limit to 4 processes in the developer settings. Now that I have CM10.1 and it doesn't have developer options, i'm wondering what I can do to limit my processes down to conserve battery?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for best application to manage notifications. Currently I use Light Flow but it don't allow me to set a different volume for different sounds and set up schedule (so at night my phone don't make any sounds).
Overall I want:
Different sounds for mails, sms, mms and others
Different LED blinking for mails, sms, mms and others
Different vibration pattern for mail, sms, mms and others
Different sounds for calls, mails, sms, mms and other WITH ABILITY to set up the volume separately. For example e-mail notification sound is always the lauded one even if RINGTONE VOLUME is set up for minimum (using physical vol buttons on phone).
Schedules - to set up that at night (00-07AM my phone don't make any noises.
My primary Gmail Account has about 300 contacts in it. I sync everything to and from this account.
My secondary Gmail account is for work and I have about 450 conacts in there. I sync emails and calendar events from this account BUT NOT CONTACTS.
Now I have about 80 contacts from the secondary work account that I need to move over to my primary Gmail account so they are in my phone. It seems like it would be a simple task but I can't find a way to do it. I don't want to sync the whole contact list which would result in duplicate or triplicate entries.
How do I do this?
I am Android user and will be soon have be out on a rgular basis. Till now i have been using a hi speed internet connection of the wifi. But i need on mobile connection as well. The one within my budget is a hi speed plan but data valumn based.
My question is regarding that whenever i switch on my wifi, every single app and service starts connecting to the net. The over all internet browsing speed falls, the phone performance falls. My a whole lot of data is downloaded.
Is there a way to selectively allow/dis allow apps and services from eating away data from my data based mobile internet plan ? So that say only few apps, like AC Forum app/Gtalk/Google+/Gmail/Email apps gets the internet and the others remain on hold till i reach home and open up the lock for all apps, etc via wifi. Is this reallu possible ? Or do i have to go cut off the mobile data when the capping for my plan is reached ?

Here's what I'm talking about, I have bluetooth headphones, several speakers and my car that all are connected to my phone and I'm having several small issues.
- As soon as I turn on bluetooth it tries to automatically tries to connect to these certain speakers, I don't want that and don't know how to stop it.
- If I'm in my car, my phone connected to my car for calls and I'm listening to music through the headphone jack but it will automatically connect to a set of bluetooth speakers in my home when get home and pull into the driveway. So music will play through those speakers instead of my headphone jack. I obviously don't want that either.
-Titanium Backup never restores my bluetooth connection either so if there is an application that can save those too that would be useful.
I don't feel like installing all these specific dedicated apps to manage my accounts on box, google drive, skydrive and sugarsync, so I was wondering since some users seem to have multiple accounts with these services, how do they manage them on their device? What apps would let us do something like that?

After installing a new rom I checked the 'keep my phone backed up with google' check box and it started installing apps that I hadn't used for ages. Now I dont want these apps so I reflashed and didnt tick the box but my question is, is there a way to view a list of the apps that are backed up and possible delete some of them from the computer?
If not, what is a way to manage these? Im guessing that I could start with a fresh rom, let it install the backed up apps, then manually uninstall them and let it sync back again - would that work?

View 9 Replies View Relatedwhen I want to stream one particular song I noticed that the Google Play Music app downloads and caches the previous/next few songs for quicker access. How can I prevent this? It uses a lot of data and I usually only want to listen to the one song I chose to stream.
For example if I play a 6 mb song i noticed it uses about 40 mb to stream just that one song. Then I selected a different song to stream and immediately went into settings > download queue and noticed it was loading more songs than the one I requested. I only want to listen to the 1 song I chose, so how can I prevent the other songs from loading? As far as I can see there is no way in the app's settings but there has to be another way to stop this inconvenience.
P.S. I have a T999 galaxy s3 running on stock rooted ICS
