For some reason now every time I try and open my scrapbook it begins to open then closes. Not sure why use to work fine before just started out of no where. I tried deleting cache and data but same thing. I have the note 3.

I have a 64gb MicroSD card installed, and put a copy of my photography website on it. I find I am unable to figure out a way to open it in Google Chrome.
I used ES File Explorer's FTP function to begin with, to copy files from my website to the card, and this worked beautifully. When I click on the index.html file on the card, the only options offered are HTML Viewer and some text editors. Chrome is not an option (Chrome is the default browser for my phone). I can try "Open as" and choose Chrome, but get the same error message as below.
If I long-press the file, and select Properties, I can copy the (full) Path for the file, but when I paste this into Chrome's URL bar, it won't open:
Access to the file was denied "The file at file:///storage/extSdCard/PhotoWebsite/index.html is not readable. It may have been removed, moved, or file permissions may be preventing access"
I have searched quite a bit, and tried various addresses, including localhost, localhost/mnt, content:, etc., etc., but nothing seems to work.
Ultimately I want to have a Bookmark in Chrome where I can view my website offline when necessary, but this seems to be more complex than would appear necessary.
When I open the Messages app and begin to type, it will close and reopen and return me to the first menu in the app. I've tried going into managing apps and clearing the cache.
Also tried deleting everything in my inbox and drafts.
Also, when I look for Messages in my Task Manager app, it doesnt show up unless I keep the app open and open the task manager from the notification bar. I made sure my Task Manager doesnt autokill the app or anything...
I have the Motorola droid. I can see my inbox but when I try and open an email the app force closes. Anyone else had this problem?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having a weird issue where after I successfully rooted my Samsung Galaxy S3 (following a guide from androidcentral) every time my phone encounters an application force close, the phone will freeze up and eventually restart. Before rooting my phone, whenever an application would force close all I would get was a notification telling me <application name> had closed unexpectedly, as it should in Android. Now I'm not seeing that, phone just goes to black and then restarts. This wouldn't be a huge deal, but since I'm using it as a development platform, having your phone restart every time your application crashes takes a lot of time.
What's really weird is that Logcat will continue to scroll (in Eclipse) even after the phone is frozen to input (so its not a system wide lock up).
Since I have moved dalvik cache to sd ext when I remove sd card my explorer/pico closes unexpectedly I know why this happens but I want to ask that if due to some reasons sd card stops working so then can I acces the recovery mode ? Because the internal mem is on sd if sd stops working so I have to flash Rom again.if this happens that sd card stops working so then can I access recovery mode ?

In an attempt to solve this issue, she has cleared data and cache from google play services, as well as google play store. I also advised her to delete her google account from her device, then sign back in. Neither of those worked. Also, download manager is enabled.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just flashed 4.2.1 on my phone and found that PhotoSphere force closes whenever I choose it in the Camera app. adb logcat reveals something like:

I cannot find the source of LightCycle on the web, but apparently, it seems to be a permission issue because it says "E/LightCycle-storage( 2892): Sessions root directory could not be created.".
I got the trebuchet launcher apk and installed it. But when I try to add widgets, trebuchet launcher force closes

I have this problem with my friends galaxy ace GT-S5839i: here because I don't know what to do I pulled the file framework-res.apk from system and then changed the extension to zip, and changed an image inside one of the folders.
After that I zipped the pack again (tried several zip options) and changed the extension back to apk My first question: Is this ok?
I copied the changed file to sdcard and using es explorer moved the file to system/framework. Imediately After answering if I wanted to overwrite the phone freezes and never booted again.
I restored the rom and tried several times with same result I tought the problem would be trying to overwrite a file that's in use but then I found a tool the decompiled the original apk, changed the image, compiled and signed it and made a flashable zip of it.
It gsve always error in trying to flash this on recovery so I extrated the compiled and signed new framwork apk and moved it to system with es explorer... The difference now is that it didn't froze the phone but started to show fc's everywhere. Rebooted, wipede cash and dalvik, messed up woth permissions... Everything I could think of and the result os always tbe same...
One thing that's bothered me about samsung phones is the 1+ second lag between pressing home and power for screenshot. Is there some manual way to change the amount of seconds it takes for it to register a screenshot? Or a mod?

Should I just wait and sideload KK when it becomes available (assuming that I don't need to upgrade with what's currently available and want to wait until the Verizon/US version gets out)?
Or should I unroot back to stock first and OTA it?
Or can I simply reinstall my stock ROM in recovery and OTA?
I used to have Save Root. It worked like a charm for my Motorola devices. Does this work between updates as well? Do we know yet if there will be a way to save root when upgrading?
I changed my passcode last night and can't remember what it is!!! I called Verizon they said after so many failed attempts it will prompt me for my email info. GREAT, but I'm at 150 failed attempts and it hasn't prompted me yet.

View 2 Replies View RelatedNever had any problems, but just today, my phone just shut off. When it shut off, it kept vibrating, just small pulses over and over until I took the battery out. When it shut off, it had 100% battery, so I put the battery back in hoping it would turn back on. The samsung logo/boot screen came up, then it just shut off. It does this repeatedly. I tried putting it into recovery so I can reset it, but it doesn't boot into recovery or download mode.
Strange things: Whenever I hold down the volume down key, it does the vibrating pulse thing until i take my finger off it. And when it's on the charger, it does the vibrating thing the whole time until I unplug it, even if the battery isn't in it.
i am having problems with my call log on my galaxy note 2 from at&t. some of my calls are showing up and some are not. for example the calls to and from my wife today are showing up but the ones from my father today are not and calls to and from a number yesterday that is not in a my contact list from yesterday is not showing up at all. i have the view set to "all calls".

I checked the APN issue, allow auto sync data in data storage issue, removing and re-installing the accounts issue, application manager to clear cashe issue, ........I do have other 2 google apps mails with no problem at all. Btw, Im using the default mail application and don't want to replace it with another one, but when I did for a trial, the same problem appears.I checked with mobile operator and by it support at my company, and all seems to be good.

I have a note 3, and when i try to send pictures (.jpeg) through the stock messaging app, it says "select different media" and will not allow me to send it. if i choose hangouts to send the same picture, it will send. however, a friend of mine using a droid x2 ALWAYS says he doesn't get the pictures. he only gets a blank message. when i try sending the same picture through hangouts to my girlfriends S4, a preview of the picture will show on the conversation list of hangouts, but when you open the conversation, the picture does not show and it is also a blank message. if she opens the stock messaging app, the picture will show in there.

BUT!!! now sometimes charges good and sometimes it shows that charging and it lighing red but it in fact it dose not charging.... and what drives me crazy is sometimes it charges good !!!! by the way phone is not rooted it still new i use it rarly....
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo my galaxy note 2 is continously bootlooping. As soon as I insert the battery into the phone, it shows the galaxy note 2 screen and a couple seconds later the same. I can't enter download mode because when I click the Volume+ button to enter it, it starts from the galaxy note 2 screen.
I had flashed cyanogen mod 11 to my phone a couple months back, but it was working fine. Today morning some water got on it, but I dried it of and it was working fine.
