Nov 23, 2013For some reason now every time I try and open my scrapbook it begins to open then closes. Not sure why use to work fine before just started out of no where. I tried deleting cache and data but same thing. I have the note 3.

Feb 3, 2014I have a 32 gig micro sd card in my Galaxy s4 mini and I am curious what program I can use to Map "My pictures" and folders on my PC with sub folders of pictures to sync with my Galaxy s4 mini but then periodically sync to the device weekly to ADD or Delete photo's that have changed since last sync.
I'm constantly adding photos to My Pictures on my PC and I don't want to simply Drag and Drop the 32gig every night, I just want to look for changes and add what is New.
General :: Copy File From Internal Device Directory To External SD Card Rooted Galaxy S4
Jul 14, 2013When making an image I accidentally had Clockworkmod image be saved to the device itself instead of being saved to the external SD card.
I am able to browse to it using Root Explorer and select to Copy it, but how do I PASTE it onto the external SD card when Root Explorer only accesses the device directory and not the external SD card?
Quick 2nd question: I know on some previous devices such as the Galaxy S 4G you were *not* supposed to run Clockworkmod after booting in and from the Apps Drawer, instead you were only supposed to run directly from the startup screen before booting in. Is it OK to actually start the Clockwork Backup/Restore process from the Apps Drawer of the Galaxy S4 and let it reboot and do its thing or is it only supposed to be run BEFORE booting in?

Nov 8, 2009I've checked related posts and this question specifically pertains to the HTC Hero Sprint CDMA phone. Before connecting my phone to my PC desktop computer, I want to verify if this is the correct method: Question May simply connect my USB cable from my HTC Hero into my USB drive into my PC desktop? Will this pop-up the files, directly, etc? May I simply Copy/Paste the file(s) (pictures, etc.) into a file on my PC desktop hard drive? Is there simply a folder with my Micro-SD card files? Are there any other folders of files, etc. that may be on my phone which may be copied as well (i.e., Apps, etc.)? It's interesting to note that if an iPhone or iPod Touch is ever lost or misplaced, everything is backed up on iTunes on an external device. I suppose if I lose my phone, I'll have to start over. Correct? Or is there a way to backup Scenes, downloaded apps, customizations, etc.?

(I installed goomanager and i can enter to cwm recovery mode from it, but if i would like to flash the cmw to the phone, idk which version sould i choose)

Jan 15, 2013I am running a cm10 based Rom on my note 2 and as such can't move apps to the sd card through the usual channels. I was able to get my play music cached songs to store on the external sd and any way to do the same for Google Play magazines as they take up more room.

Feb 17, 2014I have a note 3, and when i try to send pictures (.jpeg) through the stock messaging app, it says "select different media" and will not allow me to send it. if i choose hangouts to send the same picture, it will send. however, a friend of mine using a droid x2 ALWAYS says he doesn't get the pictures. he only gets a blank message. when i try sending the same picture through hangouts to my girlfriends S4, a preview of the picture will show on the conversation list of hangouts, but when you open the conversation, the picture does not show and it is also a blank message. if she opens the stock messaging app, the picture will show in there.

Jul 25, 2012I installed a 32 GB micro SD card into my Samsung Galaxy SII. My device appears to recognize it in Settings | Storage since it shows Total space for the SD card as "29.71GB". However, I cannot figure how to browse to the card nor how to move files to it from within the Android OS. From within the My Files app, I cannot change directories from what appears to be the built-in memory since the "Up" icon is grayed out.
How do I access the microSD card by browsing to it and moving files to it?

Sep 12, 2010I have been having this problem since i updated to froyo JP2 package my external micro SD card when mounted to computer and i try to copy over the files it says it is write protected but there is no key to slide, as everybody knows micro sd cards donot have that feature by design. this is the best part when the same card no changes i put in to a cardreader hooked up to my laptop works perfectly fine. it was working fine before i flashed the JP2 firmware. what am i doing wrong i even formated the card in the phone itself but still no luck. My hunch is this when i flashed with new firmware i never took out the sd card and the sim card is that any reason, i know i can just flash it again but i already arranged everything nice on my galaxy so was wondering if it is then i will go ahead.

Why I can't view / find them on my phone?
The rest of the folders show up, just not these two. One previously showed up on my phone and I was able to view it just fine but then I renamed it and now I can't see it anymore. I don't believe it was hidden and I even did a reboot but still these folders no longer show up. I can only access them if I plug in the usb cable to the pc and view from there.

I just recently rooted it and installed Jelly bean with EOS-tf101-20130617-120.zip and gapps_4.2.2_TF101_20130323b.zip Everything seems to be working fine except with the notification area failing to show mounted sd, micro sd and usb drives. When they are inserted into the tablet I see in the notification area that the system is scanning the micro sd card but after it is mounted nothing is there. As a result it is difficult to unmount them except for going to settings and then storage device and then unmount them from there.
With Ice cream android, when I put in any sd cards, the notification area would have the sd cards listed. I could open it with a folder and browse it and I could unmount it also when finished with it.
What I must do to get the sd card listed in the notification area?

it came with some chinese apps etc (identifying which rom it was, i believe it was factory rom).I ask torrents to download in my sd card, it says error , permission denied .
EXT CARD SIZE: 2 gig only. manufactuer says tab supports upto 32 *gig card...card wroks fine on my nokia x2-00 phone
Investigation:
1)i tried creating directory in using File manager...it did, ...it didnt show option of deleting / pasteing something.
so i used es file explorer........when I asked it to delete that empty directory i created , it said error permission denied.
2)i try to paste something, it fails.
3)i try to delete something it fail.
So, FORMATTED the memory card (via pc...connected it as usb, formatted, ejected), TRY TO PASTE SOMETHING via tablet, it fails

Mar 9, 2014Recently I started using 32GB card with my Micromax Canvas HD and everything is working only for when I try to connect my mobile to PC for file transfer via usb storage I can see only two drive one of CD drive of mmx and other internal sd drive and I can see one more drive but it is not mounted which is my external sd drive when clicked on it, it asked to enter disk.
Solution tried so far by me
1. I have erase external sd card in mobile itself.
2. Reset the entire phone.
3. Uninstalled the mmx driver on my PC and reinstalled it.

I'm on Android 4.3 Galaxy Note 3 (ATT) and suddenly I started to see one or two recently installed apps turn into grey icons that say SD on them. I removed my SD card and then suddenly I noticed all~ of my recently installed apps turn into grey icons and when I tap on them - it goes to the google play store and says the apps have not been installed. Upon reinserting the card, the apps return.
What gives? I don't want this and it just started happening out of nowhere.
General :: Apps Don't Use New External SD Card For Data
May 1, 2012When I setup my A100 (running the ICS OTA update), I didn't have an SD card installed. It created it's own "fake" sdcard which applications use.
Now that I've added a real external sdcard, I can't get the applications to use that for their data instead of the "fake" location.
I've copied everything from the "fake" location to the new sdcard.
I suspect the problem is that the new, real sd card is called "external_sd" and the old, "fake" location is called "sdcard".
Do I need to reinstall those applications?
I am NOT trying to move applications to the external SD card; I just wants apps that normally store data there to do so instead of in the "fake" location.
Also, I am not rooted.
General :: No Support For Encryption Of External SD Card
Mar 30, 2014If you enable device encryption on devices with external sd card, the external sd card always remains unencrypted. As you cannot really control for every app where to store its data, you have some of your app-data on internal sd (encrypted) and some of you app-data on external sd (encrypted). To me this seems to be a security hole, concerning device encryption. why cm team does not include encryption for external sd cards, like some oems do? They put so much effort in security features and on the other side they leave parts of the local storage encrypted?

Read some forums and formated it to exfat, then ntsf, both read fine and can store up to 4gb but no more, tried all the various apps to get it to store when downloading but always get size limit error. How can I get my OS to allow bigger than 4gb to download to my 32gb sd card. Note: I have no issues when trying to move files from PC to phone, just downloading them from the Internet either by download site or torrent. Got some movies and software I need to get. OS is ics 4.0.4 rooted stock. I am a good pc geek but limited on android/linux skills.

Also take photographs and make downloads ....... but after I tried to made a root and instal google play from the external sd mode, it works just fine. it was installed correctly, but after a moments the external sd stoped working,when i went to the library / images tells me not Sd card is mounted, I can not download files or take photographs, I can only explore its contents from LOCAL / exsdcard. there I See everything.
the funny thing is that when you turn the tablet off and back on, it tell the message that says "preparing sd-mount" then says "sd card Mounted "and sd icon appears in the bottom right ..... but not mount on the gallery. I go to settings / internal storage and SD appears but not USB internal storage sda. ,i try to disable the storage to remove safely, turn off The device and try again, but does not work , i all ready try to restore from fabric but nothing only personal data erase and some games.... but the google play still apear instaled that was not there when i buy it, so i think something has change.... what can I do?
