When I search a term in the marketplace, it shows the categories the term appears in. Under apps, the term says there are over 5000 results.
Great. Well I scroll down twice and the list stops. There is no option for 'more' listings.... What gives?

I just got a new Nexus ONe for AT&T and some apps that I believe should be in the Marketplace, specifically Quickoffice, MLB At Bat and ChompSMS, do not appear when I search for them. Does anyone know why this is happening?
View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen I go into contacts on my phone and start typing "M", it automatically starts showing up all contacts that start with "M"...but one is missing. It's a contact that I added on my phone, not on gmail on my computer. When I manually scroll down the contacts list, the contact is there. When I log into gmail on my computer, the contact is there and is listed under "My Contacts". Anyway ideas?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if anyone else had this issue. I had backed up my apps from astro and reinstalled them on my new replacement phone. But my installed apps from astro do not sync. So the free ones I gotten can easily be reinstalled through marketplace but the ones paid I have to rebuy them otherwise I won't be able to update them. Please let me know if this is a common problem or there is something I can do to fix it.

I also installed a copy of it on a device directly, perhaps as an email attachment.If I upload an updated version of the app to the marketplace, will the device be notified that a new version of the app exists on marketplace? Or does that update-alert system depend on the app being originally installed through marketplace?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have noticed that when using my phone to reply to a long string of text on forums (or at least some of them) I seem to hit a roadblock at some point. By that I mean, if I wanted to reply to a message like I am typing this right now, if I want to scroll down to the bottom I am unable to if the length of the text reaches a certain point. Or in another situation, I could be typing my reply, but once I write enough to reach that limit I am unable to type any further. This only applies when wanting to reply at the bottom of the string of text. There are ways to work around the issue, but in certain cases they aren't always preferred.

1) Grouping: I have almost 500 contacts and i want to group contacts into many several categories but when i create a group and i want to add some contacts there i have to type the name of the person i want to add and then add him manually one by one. How on earth can i remember each and every contact i want to add to a group. The 2nd option is click on each contact and edit/categorize to a group.
2) Call History: My old samsung bada phone had a facility where i can see all calls and sms in my call log. And if i click any of the contact in the call log i can see when and what time that particular contact has called or smsed me. Why not this be done in my android phone.
I thought android was customizable.
I am wondering if it is possible to limit the size of the dalvik-cache. I am looking for an alternative to putting it on the sdcard. Maybe I could create a partition on the internal storage for the cache?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having bit of a strange issue. I've been editing a Mms.apk by decompling it with apktool and then chaning png, editing xml files ( I Use dreamwaver cs6, but have tried with notepad++ too) and the likes.
But when I then recompile the apk something strange happens to the data stored in the xml files, like it gets encrypted or messed up somehow. They still work tho since Ive pushed the Mms.apk to my system/app and the changes I've made are clearly shown+working.
But it makes it difficult incase I want to redo some changes in the XML files by decompiling the new Mms.apk. I've uploaded one xml file with the changes ive made, and then the same after it has been recompiled to my dropbox.

I am seeing the different screen below plus when I click the wrench for search tools because I only want to see results for the last week. I get the screen below. View 1 Replies View RelatedIf I search for "My photos" or "My photos of trees" (for example) in Google.com search on the desktop via Chrome, or from iOS Chrome or iOS Google Now, it works as expected and shows my pictures from my Google+ photos as it has since Google rolled out the feature months ago. However, on my new Nexus 7 running 4.3, I get no results from Google+ at all, whether I use Google Now or even just Google.com via Chrome.
I'm logged in to Google+, on Google.com via Chrome I see it in the header bar, but no "Google+ results" appear in my search results. Other services appear to work as expected, such as package tracking via searching "My packages". Saying "Show me photos of..." will pull up image results from the web. The only way to search for my Google+ photos I can find is to go to the Google+ app, to photos, hit the menu button, and then search. (terribly hidden, by the way!). That works fine.
Is it possible Google doesn't have this feature on Android Chrome or Android Google Now, but has it on everything else (desktop, iOS)?
Take an app I found on some tech site recommending the app "super download" It is an app that lets you download over 4g and wifi at the same time.
If you go to the play store website and search "super download," you get no results. its as if the app dont exist.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Google Nexus 4 with Android 4.2.2.I've just tried a speed test on it using the Android app (speedtest.net) and it says over wifi I'm getting about 1mps down/upload. I've also tried it on my laptop using the same wifi connection but through the browser using thier website Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test and it says im getting about 15 mps down and almost 1 upload.
when I go into Chrome and search for speedtest it goes to the play store with thier app, any way I can access thier site on my phone browser? the desktop site doesn't seem to work?
I've been pulling my hair out trying to achieve smooth scrolling in an OpenGL-based app on Eclair. It seems that no matter what I do, I cannot get more than 36 events per second (the rest is sent in history data which is useless in my case). This happens on both the emulator and the Motorola Milestone.Is this a hardcoded limit or am I doing something wrong? I'm implementing onTouchEvent on the activity and recording how many events are received per second and then send that info through Log.v to Eclipse. I also tried implementing onTouchEvent on the view instead of the activity and the results are the same.

A few weeks ago, I ran a benchmark test that seemed to validate this claim.I have run more tests, and I am no longer confident in my earlier conclusion. I have "limited connectivity". I didn't have this issue with my last Evo. Anyone else had this problem with a new Evo before?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have the htc desire and for the past couple of days it hasn't had any signal, I just get the limited service message, this is regardless of where I am (I live in a large city as well!) I have tried both soft and hard resets, leaving it switched off for large periods of time but all to no avail. I know I should have signal since my old phone is on the same network (vodafone) and gets signal absolutely fine.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy internal storage is currently 337 MB. I was planning on buying a bigger SD card, either 16GB or 32GB. I'm very new to everything with Androids and have never been big with computers. I read that if I want a lot of applications and everything that I would have to root the phone because the internal storage is so limited and then move everything to the SD card. I tried rooting the phone, it didn't work (I didn't mess up anything with the phone, probably just missed a step), but considering I still know so little about all this I decided it would be better to wait with rooting. Will I be fine with not rooting my phone and picking up a bigger SD card or will my phone run very slow once I start installing a lot of stuff?

Google Maps shows everything you would expect from Google Maps except street view. However map view does not. It never shows streets and details, just a big blotch of gray. Satellite view works, but not with the best resolution the Maps application offers.Can anyone point me to documentation of this matter?
