I have a friend call David with phone number 11223344. I cannot see his phone from contact list. But when i dial his number, I can see his name when i type 1122. But when David calls me, as it is not in contact list, the phone only display 11223344 as incoming call, rather than his name. My phone is LG P990.

I have been able in the past to get a contact to the top of the list by putting a number before their last name.
eg: 1 Smith John
This would bring them to the top of the list. I would do this with people I want to call, etc. the most.
I have been trying to get a contact to the top of the list by putting a 1 before the last name of a contact in my contact list on my S5 and it is not bringing them to the top.
I discovered this new feature today... well, actually I should give credit to my son, who got his hero about 3 weeks ago for finding this.
Pressing on the contact's picture in the people list pops a little menu that allows you to easily choose whether to call or text them. It even provides the Handcent icon if you are using that as your main messaging app!
Just thought I would share this finding, in case I wasn't the only one who didn't know about it!
I've been trying to get a Cyanogenmod on my LG Optimus 2x/Speed/P990. Most of the (german) how-to's didn't work, until I found a toolkit named "AIO Toolkit for P990/SU 660" by SpyrosK, which did finally install a CWM-based recovery (v6.0.2.5).
Following the steps of the how-to's I found I tried installing various Roms, all of the available Cyanogenmod Roms from their homepage, and another I found somewhere else.
All ended with the same, the phone doesn't boot into the rom, but into the Stock 4.0.4 ICS
I'm installing in the following order:
-wipe data/factory reset
-wipe cache partition
-advances > wipe dalvik cache
-install zip from sdcard
-choose zip from external sdcard
-e.g. cm-7.2.0-p990.zip
-yes
-reboot system now
It always sends me back into stock 4.0.4
Did I mess up something in the CWM-order?
Under each contact person it gives the chance to enter numerous numbers (i.e. home, mobile, work). then when u go to that person it gives a ton of options. For example if work, home and mobile are all listed it will give the option to call all 3 numbers and send message to all 3 numbers. Obviously I can't send message to work or home numbers. So....my questions is can I somehow delete the options to send message to home and work numbers? That way the the only options listed are: call home, call work, call mobile and message mobile. Also I did it once and forget how...but how can I change which number is the primary one on a person's contact list?

Why it would be throwing the "No Column Found with name=Test", although my DB explorer shows there is indeed a column named name and a value in a row named Test?
Whenever I try to use Google Now to send a text or make a phone call I just get "contact not found" screen. It worked fine earlier and then my phone did an update today and it no longer seems to work. It will find contacts from my gmail account but does not find any of the contacts on my phone.

What I'm trying to do, is to get the corresponding contact to a phone number. It works perfect if the number is stored in the contacts in the following format: +<country code><area code><number> But not all numbers are stored this way. Most are without the country code or with "00" instead of "+". Do I have to parse the number by myself and set up a corresponding WHERE clause for the query, or is there anything I can't find in the internet to get this one done by the framework?

For example , i have some contacts from facebook for which i have no other contacts created, but i need to add additional information (in particular phone numbers). I do not seem to be able to add information to a facebook contact. Do i really need to manually create another contact, then manually give it the same name and then link it to the facebook profile in order to have a place to add the phone number?

1) John - 555-123-1234 (local) (starting 1 not showing)
2) Jane - 44-123456787 (england phone number)
The question is: How do I get all the numbers in an international format, when some of the numbers doesnt include the country code?
