Dec 23, 2013I have an Optimus Vu 2 (F200K), which I rooted via the universal 4.1.2 method found in the XDA Developers forums. After downloading an update, I experienced an error, after which the phone is stuck in a bootloop showing Security error. The specs of the Vu 2 are:
1. 1024*768 [4:3] 5" screen.
2. 2 GB RAM
3. 1.5 GHz Dual-Core Krait CPU
4. Adreno 225 GPU
5. Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean

Apr 6, 2014i tried to flash a rom without unlocking my bootloader. Well im running windows 8.1 and for some reason i couldnt get my computer to recognize the phone at all. After using 3 or 4 different guides i gave up for a few days so not to get too aggrivated. I mean its my own fault but my back up phone sucks lol. So i borrowed my wifes laptop running win 7. I Followed this guide androidforums.com/optimus-l9-all-things-root/807569-guide-security-error-fix.html. everything seemed to work got the s/w screen to appear in reverse and using the cmd prompt that says wiating for device then starting the .bat file from the download it says on the bat cmd prompt that everything worked. well at the bottom its says done then comes up with C:fast boot yours. i have been browsing Google but i haven't been able to find what i am supposed to do with the yours file. i tried putting a kdz file into the file location and running it from that but no luck. after a few min the phone auto reboots and comes back with the security error screen and not the backwards one.

Jul 25, 2012Actually I am in deep trouble because of my Galaxy Note now days. It is having TW Launcher error. I am totally unable to use my phone. It keeps restarting itself after every 10 sec. Everybody is giving me advice to Hard Reset / Factory Reset to my device. But my Major problem is that I have some very very important (almost 900 pics) saved in its internal memory. These pics are very very important for me and I do not want to loose these pics at all.
I am unable to take backup because its does not recognised by my or any other Laptop due to it restarting issue. This is the reason why I am not giving my mobile to any technician because no one is giving me any guarantee about my data.

Aug 2, 2010Seem to have a problem when trying to open certain pdf files. The files can be opened without any issue on a PC but get the 'unsupported security handler' error when trying to open on the desire (froyo updated).
Not actually tried these files prior to the froyo update so unsure whether this is a bug?
Downloaded Adobe Reader as an alternative viewer, this time it opens but the pages are blank... Think it's something about the pdfs as they were written in Acrobat Distiller 7.0.5 for mac...

I did login and all stuff, but i get error saying wrong password or username. I checked on google.com that it was correct and it is. Now i do not have Internet checked on before it went to locking so i dunno if its the reason that i do not have the internet connection on it.

General :: Exchange Security Settings Update Not Prompting?
Oct 11, 2012I have a co-worker using an iPhone 5 giving me greef for this not working on my phone so i need to get this worked out lol.
I have a Galaxy Nexus running JB (4.1.1) . For a while my exchange email worked fine. However now, it will not sync. I attempted to reset up the account, however the "Exchange requires security settings update" message that we are suppose to get at the end of the setup (which appears the first time) does not re-appear on any inital setups.
One of our faculity (i work at a university) has this same phone and had issues with it when she upgraded. It was only after a hard reset of the phone did the message appear, which we then accepted and it started syncing the mail as it should.
I really don't want to reset my phone, so is there a way to "reset" the security settings so that it prompts me, or someplace i can go to enable it to get my email to work?

I found online several method to delete the code/pattern security.
Some methods use USB debugging (I have a Tasker script that disables it at every boot).
I also found a clever and powerful tool that really scares me. There is a zip that deletes the Gesture.key and Password.key file.Are there other methods from which I should protect my phone and my data?

Nov 16, 2012why my Brand New Samsung Galaxy S3 is switching screens from whatever screen I am currently on to the Security and Lock Screen?
It seems it may be APP related because when I KILL my apps with the Advanced Task Killer it doesn't happen as often.
ALL the Apps are the same Apps that were on my previous phone (Samsung Captivate) which never did this. There are no NEW Apps on this phone.
Software is current and up to date as it was downloaded within 5min after un-packaging the phone.
General :: Connect To Nexus 10 Using ADB - No Security Popup / Device Unauthorized
May 23, 2014I have a brand new windows 7 computer, I have installed the latest android SDK, I want to connect to my Nexus 10 using adb.
(device has windows drivers from SDK; "Android Composite ADB Interface". adb version 1.0.31)
when I do adb devices, it does see my device but it says my device is unauthorised.
It has never displayed the security popup.
I am convinced that the security pop up would make this work, but i cannot get it to show, so that it does whatever magic it does.
I have tried plugging and unplugging the usb cable,
I have tried turning USB debugging on and off.
I have changed the USB connection from Camera, to Media, back to Camera.
I can see the adbkey file under $HOME/.android in windows
The android directory /data/misc/adb/ is empty
I have root.
How can I force the security popup to display? Or how can I frig this so I can get it working?
What does the secuirty popup do anyway? probably just copy the adbkey file from windows into the android /misc/adb/ directory right? Can I do it by hand?
Slightly unrelated question, is it true that everything works first time, everytime on IOS?
General :: Samsung Galaxy S2 - Synching With Two Exchange Servers With Security Policy Conflict
Jun 8, 2012I have an SGS2 with the latest ICS release (rooted). I work with two companies supporting sync with the exchange server (2010) on a smartphone.
I can set up both exchange servers at the same time. The first day the both work, but on the second day one of the two (so far always the same) start giving me connection errors, and will no longer sync emails.
I am almost sure that the problem is that for security reasons, both want to have their security policy (admin privileges etc) enforced over my phone, and when they re-check daily they find that the policy is not as they want it. to overcome this?

Should I just wait and sideload KK when it becomes available (assuming that I don't need to upgrade with what's currently available and want to wait until the Verizon/US version gets out)?
