My brother just bought an LG Optimus Hub, and wants to install Cyanogenmod 7.2 on it, but we have some doubts, in order to install it, does it need to have the kernel installed? How do we install it? It's my first time with another phone that isn't my mini pro, so I don't want to screw it.

I have phone Lg Optimus Hub ( E 510 ). I have been installed rom CM10 from this site [URL] .... every thing running good exept headphones
When i put headphones in phone just look like phone not regonize it and when u playing music sound still come from phone speakers.
Similar problem was in rom with CM9, [URL] .... but when u use headphoes with build in micraphone sound going to headset ( must be jack with 3 black lines on it ) and all is ok in CM9
But its not work in CM10
I read post about CM10 for optimus one family phones, but my phone is not in that list. [URL] .....I tried Wired Headset Routing.apk but still no answer from phone.
I have a LG-E510 Optimus Hub mobile rooted and with various versions of cyanogen instaled (I have try 3 versions of CM7 and the beta 9, with Android 4.0.4).
Also, I have the unlock code.When I launch the mobile with a different company, there is not any way to insert the code, just I have not network.When I launch the phone with the original operator, the mobile works great, but I can't insert the unlock code neither...
I have try with "2945#*510#" but error messages appear.. what is happening with my mobile?

Anytime I try to backup or install a new rom on rom manager, it redirects to that screen with android green robot and a box ant it keeps like that for some 2 seconds and when cellphone goes on, it is on default options of native rom like it was the first time i used it. ps. it happens when i click to restart for "save clockworkmod" (idk how its exactly written on rom manager but means it ) how to resolve it, i want to use cyanogenmod on my e510

The problem is that as soon as I installed it, my phone supposedly rebooted but it never started up again!
Now all I get is a flashing "menu" and "back". I can't boot normally, or in download mode, or in odin mode.

Today, I looked online for overclocking my LG Optimus F3, and I found this thread "[MS659][F3] Freedom Kernel Overclocked" (I'm a newbie xda won't let me post links yet). It said you could achieve a 1.4 GHz overclock (my device has a 1.2 GHz processor). So, dummy me, I got all excited and flashed the MS65910c firmware to my phone like the thread said I needed to have (I didn't know that that would switch my service providers as I had Virgin Mobile). So, I'm a little confused still... Can I still have Virgin Mobile service with MetroPCS firmware? If not, I want to restore my device back to Virgin Mobile firmware (LS720ZV6). The problem is, I am also a little confused with the flashing firmware thing. Can I flash .zip files instead of .kdz files (I couldn't find LS720ZV6 .kdz firmware files on the web)?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have had my Galaxy S II for about a year now, and i am thinking about rooting it and installing Cyanogenmod on it, but i need some info about the proccess: First of all: What happens when you root your phone? Is you data/apps deleted or is it safe?
Second: What about when i flash Cyanogenmod? Is my data/apps safe there or do i need to redownload the apps and backup my stuff?
Third: If i root my phone and do not flash a new ROM, will it be just as hard for me to update the firmware as on a jailbroken iOS device?
And lastly: I have heard about Titanium Backup, what does it backup? The OS, the apps and/or the data? These are the questions i need answered before starting the rooting process.
there are a bunch of prebundled apps that come with cyanogen I'd like to remove & replace (listed below); is it as simple as removing them from the .zip and adding the ones I want? Also the apps I want to add, can I also include their backup data from the /data folder or does that have to be done after? I think its just as simple as, extracting the zip files, removing the apks, and adding the ones I want, then repacking the zip?

- Trebeck (or w/e it is) with Nova Prime
- AOSP Keyboard with SwiftKeyboard
- a custom kernel (just copy/replace the kernel zips files with whatever comes in cyanogens zip?)
- some others, but you get the gist

- Exchange Services
- Email
- News & Weather
- some others (I know about the list(s) of safe apps to delete [1][2])
Add:
- Fonts
- Apps that I always install on a fresh install (Titanium Backup, Busybox, ROM Toolbox, etc)
I know about This Thread explaining how to build your own ROM, but I feel like that is more complicated process for (what seems simple) what I want to do.
I am using LG optimus 690 and today I tried to install BusyBox several times but whenever I install busy box my internet stops working using wifi and data connection and to recover that I need to flash my phone
Any way by which I can make my internet working after installing BusyBox. Let me explain what I did.
1. I put the BusyBox PRO apk in /system/app and restarted my Phone and after restarting I opened the BusyBox and install all the binaries and after that all commands started working fine in terminal emulator only thing that didn't worked my internet.
Flashed my phone using stock rom
2. After installing fresh ROM this time I installed BusyBox normally and after installation I updated all the binaries again and everything started working well but yet again my internet stopped working.
What should I do to make my internet connection work after installing BusyBox.
Any success on installing CaynogenMod Nightly on a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1? If so what procedures did you use? I have tried using Odin, installing from the Zip file but none seem to work for me. I keep getting an error about 'unable to verify signature file'. Also what happens if format the drive on the device and then try to flash to the nightly CayongenMod file?

It then deleted all of my contacts.So I deleted Facebook, re-stored all my contacts and reloaded Facebook. However, now it gets as far as installing and it never stops.
