General :: Galaxy Note - Fast Dialing

What i want .... fast dialing way (numbers or CONTACTS) (NOT SPEED DIAL)
For example: I have to hit the green-phone button > contacts > choose a name > then call that contact" 4 Touches HERE
Is there a SHORTER way to like Go in contact > as soon as you click on any contact it will dial immediately (2 Touches Here)
My previous phone had the green button next to the contact so if i want i just hit the green button to make a call a little faster on that specified contact

I have had my Note 2 since last spring, I noticed in September that when using my original charge cord (plugged to wall) it would only charge when held in certain angles and very slow, I couldn't use while charging as it would drain it. I tried using my boyfriends nexus charger and that seemed to work. It was still slow but at least I didn't have to be constantly moved to certain angles (still discharged if used while on charger though).
If I plug my phone in at night (let's say at 14% battery life) by morning, over 8 hrs later, it's only at 60 % and then drains completely in 4-5 hours, while I'm at work and not even using it, if I'm using it it goes down 2% a minute.
This is getting so frustrating, I have no clue what's wrong. I've done a factory reset and nothing changed. If I use a universal docking station my phone actually charges very quick, at a normal speed. I'm not sure if it's the battery, usb port, or charger!

New to Android Central. I have galaxy s2 Rogers version (like a skyrocket). I installed Clean Master to be sure my ram stayed good. The past few days I have been getting a notification that ram is full. Just got the notification again and when I look at the Tasks folder in Clean Master it shows 738.35mb used and 49.72mb free.

I recently migrated from the iPhone to the Galaxy S4. When retrieving business voice mail messages from an external business voice mail system, I must call an access number, then follow voice prompts that request PIN numbers and mailbox numbers. I would like to be able to program within ''contacts," an entry titled "Office voice mail" that executes chain of commands that enable the phone to automatically dial number sequences with a single touch. I have been able to do with with every smartphone and calling device I've owned for the past 15 years.which dialer keys on the Galaxy S4 that correspond to "pause" and which key will enter programmable PIN numbers and authorization codes.

I rooted my galaxy note 2 and updated it to 4.2.2. The problem is I cannot get connected to the internet to download any application from Google Store. I am a first time user and not very familiar with android. My model is GT-N7100 and presently working in Saudi Arabia.

Sometimes randomly. other times directly after disconnecting it. My phone thinks its either charging or the usb is connected. Plugging it in and out doesnt work, switching it off doesnt work, not even removing the battery. What is this and how can I stop it? Also, i've never upgraded my software, not sure how or if I can.. My girlfriend has an s3 and she keeps telling me how awesome the new software is, yet I've never been able to update mine...

I changed my passcode last night and can't remember what it is!!! I called Verizon they said after so many failed attempts it will prompt me for my email info. GREAT, but I'm at 150 failed attempts and it hasn't prompted me yet.

Never had any problems, but just today, my phone just shut off. When it shut off, it kept vibrating, just small pulses over and over until I took the battery out. When it shut off, it had 100% battery, so I put the battery back in hoping it would turn back on. The samsung logo/boot screen came up, then it just shut off. It does this repeatedly. I tried putting it into recovery so I can reset it, but it doesn't boot into recovery or download mode.
Strange things: Whenever I hold down the volume down key, it does the vibrating pulse thing until i take my finger off it. And when it's on the charger, it does the vibrating thing the whole time until I unplug it, even if the battery isn't in it.

i bought note 2 since 4 months . last week it stops charge ... i changed bettery ... still same ... changed charger ...still same .. BUT!!! now sometimes charges good and sometimes it shows that charging and it lighing red but it in fact it dose not charging.... and what drives me crazy is sometimes it charges good !!!! by the way phone is not rooted it still new i use it rarly....

Galaxy Note II.
Ever since i updated the software, two weeks ago, my phone keeps telling me that I have a new email (outlook) even though I don't! The phone vibrates as if I actually get a new email, but then it turns out that one of the already read emails suddenly is unread and "new". This happens every 10 minutes, so it's super frustrating. I am not using any specific app, just the one email-app that came with the phone.

I installed two logcat applications, but I don't know jack about reading logs I want to know what causes these shutdowns The latest ones happened between 6:32-6:33AM and 6:54-6:55AM (it's 7:26AM now, my time).

So I got the Galaxy Note 2 in December and I have been loving it but the only thing I miss is the iMessage group chat. So in the messaging app I can start a group chat but when I get texts back it just comes into that friend's name chat, not the group chat I started. But my main concern is that I am part of a group chat with my friends but it doesn't put those in a folder when they are sent to me. It just comes up as an MMS. I have tried GOSMSPro but maybe I am dumb and group chatting might not be possible to get all the messages in the same folder?

Actually I am in deep trouble because of my Galaxy Note now days. It is having TW Launcher error. I am totally unable to use my phone. It keeps restarting itself after every 10 sec. Everybody is giving me advice to Hard Reset / Factory Reset to my device. But my Major problem is that I have some very very important (almost 900 pics) saved in its internal memory. These pics are very very important for me and I do not want to loose these pics at all.
I am unable to take backup because its does not recognised by my or any other Laptop due to it restarting issue. This is the reason why I am not giving my mobile to any technician because no one is giving me any guarantee about my data.

I'm looking for an app that will allow me to encrypt folders (preferably without having to go through a third-party file manager) on my Galaxy Note 2 and Nexus 7, while possibly being able to also decrypt and view the folder/files on a Windows or Mac machine.
BoxCryptor is one that I've looked into but I'm not sure if it will allow me to encrypt folders within folders.
A little bit of background for what I need this for... I'm a medical health professional and there are times when I have sensitive data about some of my patients that I need to access via my phone/tablet/home/work computer. I don't necessarily need the folder of patient data to sync across all devices but if that could be done (say via DropBox or WebDAV, encrypted), that would be a bonus.

I see a ton of questions about how to put apps onto your SD Card. I'm looking for the opposite.
I'm on Android 4.3 Galaxy Note 3 (ATT) and suddenly I started to see one or two recently installed apps turn into grey icons that say SD on them. I removed my SD card and then suddenly I noticed all~ of my recently installed apps turn into grey icons and when I tap on them - it goes to the google play store and says the apps have not been installed. Upon reinserting the card, the apps return.
What gives? I don't want this and it just started happening out of nowhere.

I want to use my Galaxy Note 2 as my video camera. Then use a 2nd portable handheld device (like another phone or tablet) to act as a monitor so can see what my Note 2 is filming. I would like to know if this is possible somehow either wired or wireless.
Could I purchase a small portable router like the TP-Link router. Then connect it with usb to my Galaxy Note 2. Then create a wifi connection that a 2nd wifi device can connect to (like an HTC One or tablet). Then use an app of some sort to see what my Note 2 is filming? I have found the team viewer app but I think is only for mobile to pc. how to use a mobile device to act as a monitor for my Galaxy Note 2

My data plan is eating me alive and I didn't know why until I finally noticed that when I am at a hot spot, my wifi never connects until my data plan is locked out.
I have a Note, not a Note II. I am on Rogers, not ATT.
I've tried adjusting everything I can think of, tried a hard reboot of my phone, and when I looked for support with android OS, I couldn't find this Wi-Fi disconnect policy they were talking about anywhere on my phone.
