Jan 21, 2014I see a ton of questions about how to put apps onto your SD Card. I'm looking for the opposite.
I'm on Android 4.3 Galaxy Note 3 (ATT) and suddenly I started to see one or two recently installed apps turn into grey icons that say SD on them. I removed my SD card and then suddenly I noticed all~ of my recently installed apps turn into grey icons and when I tap on them - it goes to the google play store and says the apps have not been installed. Upon reinserting the card, the apps return.
What gives? I don't want this and it just started happening out of nowhere.

Feb 24, 2012I've been through pages of forum posts about shutting off automatically updating aps and almost all seem to suggest rooting. I know nothing about such things and really don't feel like risking my phone, new Galaxy Note, to my ineptitude. I've read and re-read the manual too. Yes, I'm sure the answer is probably on here but I couldn't find it, or maybe it went over my head. The problem is I've been watching my data usage and tracked down the extraordinary usage to a slew of aps, all undeleteable and pre-installed by AT&T/Google. I don't want to delete the programs because I may want them at some point, but they're running and updating in the background and using megs. I shut them off within a setting menu and many of them came back later. Most of these aps are things I never even opened. Is there any way to keep these aps from running until *I* want them to?

When I restart my phone, Some apps (no matter where are they from (play, amazon, etc.)) They stop working.. they dont work anymore.. and I will have to re install the apps again and loss all data
And also some apps that still work, they start like its the first time I am starting them and all data in them are lost..
I tried multiple things to fix this like I factory reset my phone and also tried to flash new version of stock rom but I still have this problem.

Apr 29, 2014My problem is that all my devices are on a wifi network that uses http/https/ftp/SOCKS proxy settings to connect to internet. All the devices connect to internet after I use proxy settings on them. But few applications such as skype do not connect to internet. They work fine when I connect to a wifi network that does not use any proxy settings (at home), but at work when I have to use proxy settings to access internet, the apps fail to connect. I have a couple of devices which are not rooted (Fujitsu Stylistic M532 tablet, Garmin-Asus A10 phone) and I am not sure if I can root them. I would really want to use all the apps.

Nov 30, 2011When I connect to the student's wifi network, it requiers to configure the proxy with authentification. Well I'm fine with that, and the browser works all right, but all of the apps which require internet access aren't working. I also noticed, that when I'm configuring the proxy in the settings, it actually says that the HTTP proxy will be used by the browser, but not by some of the apps (in my case none of the apps work, including the pre-installed apps like android market, youtube or google maps).
So my question is that is there any way to make the apps work with the HTTP proxy? I should say that I found this thread on this forum:

Jun 28, 2013Tried to dig deeper into where and when apps are accessing your data networks regardless of whether it was while you are on wifi or mobile networks. I'm rooted running 4.1.1 and I'm looking for an app that sort of works like a proxy except for my own phone and just my phone's data. The goal is to see which apps are accessing the internet and what websites they are accessing and how often, ect. Basically I'd like to eavesdrop on my own apps. Is that possible? How can I do this?

Nov 19, 2013Never had any problems, but just today, my phone just shut off. When it shut off, it kept vibrating, just small pulses over and over until I took the battery out. When it shut off, it had 100% battery, so I put the battery back in hoping it would turn back on. The samsung logo/boot screen came up, then it just shut off. It does this repeatedly. I tried putting it into recovery so I can reset it, but it doesn't boot into recovery or download mode.
Strange things: Whenever I hold down the volume down key, it does the vibrating pulse thing until i take my finger off it. And when it's on the charger, it does the vibrating thing the whole time until I unplug it, even if the battery isn't in it.

Ever since i updated the software, two weeks ago, my phone keeps telling me that I have a new email (outlook) even though I don't! The phone vibrates as if I actually get a new email, but then it turns out that one of the already read emails suddenly is unread and "new". This happens every 10 minutes, so it's super frustrating. So in the messaging app I can start a group chat but when I get texts back it just comes into that friend's name chat, not the group chat I started. But my main concern is that I am part of a group chat with my friends but it doesn't put those in a folder when they are sent to me. It just comes up as an MMS. I have tried GOSMSPro but maybe I am dumb and group chatting might not be possible to get all the messages in the same folder?
