My galaxy k's home button has been broken. And i wannted to use recovery.So I attached it with my computer, used cmd(adb reboot recovery). After that i was able to go in recovery. But after that I couldnt reboot it. I tried to use cmd. But it cant find my device.

i got a samsung galaxy s2 mini and i got it rooted it all worked fine , but yesterday for some reason it booted in CWM recovery and i cant get out of it my volume down button is broken .
my question is ; is there a other way to boot it normal?
it keeps acting as if I long pressed it when I only click it once.

View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently I have tried to root my Samsung Galaxy 3 7.0 (SM-T210R) WiFi edition. After unsuccessfully attempting to install a custom rom, I believe I have accidentally deleted the stock rom for the device..So now, whenever I turn the device on, it automatically brings me to CWM recovery. I have tried to install a different rom onto the device unsucessfully, giving me an error saying "format() expects 5 args, got 4" It also says (Status 7). I have also tried to connect my device to my computer and hook it up to Odin, but Odin does not recognize the device.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen 2.3.5 update on Samsung Galaxy S finally arrived, I've rooted my phone as seen on androidadvices.com. This version is not stable so I wanted to go back to stock ROM but in the mean time my HOME button stopped working.
So, there I was, not able to go to download mode to flash stock ROM. Than I googled that you can go to download mode through adb and I did and flashed backed stock ROM.
AND THEN, IN AN ACT OF ABSOLUTE STUPIDITY, I'VE GONE TO RECOVERY MODE THROUGH ADB.
And now I can't get out. My phone is working, software is ok, only HOME button is not working. ADB dont see phone any more and phone is always rebooted in recovery mode.
How to Replace the ok / Home in recovery?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI had a problem with my old Vodafone Smart II phone Alcatel V860, and I put another original ROM on it. Everything was fine. I rooted also the phone, not a problem. But when I went into recovery mode I noticed something weird, only my volume keys up and down are functional to make selections in TCT recovery console, but not also the select button (the home button). This worked before! I also noticed much more options in the recovery console than before, but what good? I can't select options from the recovery menu whatever I do, just navigate through them.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've rooted my samsung galaxy mega 6.3 GT-I9205 but I got stuck in a boot loop after trying to change my boot logo using a app called root tools. Before that everything with root worked fine.So I tried recovering the phone by going into recovery mode and wiping all of my data/factory reset and also wiping my cache. Both of these thing did not work.
So after that I went into download mode and tried to instal something I believe CWM. But now I can't even go into recovery mode because when I try, the phone says that it's going into recovery mode and then just reboots... and goes into a bootloop.
my android phone's power button stopped working a few weeks ago. It wasn't a big problem, but a few days ago, the battery died. Now it is turned off and I can't turn it on. When I put it in charge, it just shows the charging screen. The phone is a Winmax W8000 (Winmax is Bangladeshi company. I'm from Bangladesh). It runs on Jellybean (4.1). It wasn't rooted. View 10 Replies View Relatedmy galaxy s2,it is rooted,and i have another problem : the phone restarts by itself and gets stucked in the boot loop, i never flashed a new rom ,it is running the stock rom,Someday i needed to factory reset the phone so i rebooted into recovery mode (power + home button +vol up) ,. I booted into recovery mode but the power button does NOT react as 'select' button although it works just fine for power on and off. I select a function and press [power] an the first line becomes the selected. pushing it again just flashed the screen. But pressing it long turns the phone off,and even after the factory reset from phone directly(with out going to recovery mode)

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy problem with my s3 is the home button, when i'm on a app ( doesn't matter wich one) and i press the home button, it takes like 4-5 seconds before i see the home screen, and then it has to redraw itself. I already searched here but all i coild find was the animation set to 0, 5 and disable-ing tje s voice command.(what i already did)
I tried removing every home screen and put 1 app in it. Didn't work.I didnt try factory reset , because i dont want to lose all my data.. ( even tough i could backup it somewhere)
i just got my note 2 and week ago and until yesterday when i hold down the home button to get to my tasks manager it wont work. Ill hold it down but it will vibrate but nothing comes up -_- im not sure if i turned something off or if its broken. anything i should try before i go to the verizon store or something?

View 7 Replies View Relatedi have successfully ported CWM Recovery to my ZTE Merit/Avail/Roamer using the CyanogenMod gingerbread source (i did not use the unofficial port that was built from the ZTE Blade because the screen is upside down)
everything works just like it is supposed to--absolutely flawless. build went through without a hitch.decided that i instead wanted to use the "home" key to select menu options in the CWM Recovery instead of the "power" button that is default (had to uncomment BOARD_HAS_NO_SELECT_BUTTON in the BoardConfig.mk because there is no camera button on this phone)
so i copied the recovery_ui.c from the working Blade source (which uses the "home" key instead of the "power" key), placed it into my ZTE Roamer (Merit/Avail) source and added BOARD_CUSTOM_RECOVERY_KEYMAPPING := /device/zte/roamer/recovery_ui.c to my BoardConfig.mk
there is no problem reading the location of the file so don't suggest to change it..but when i compile i get these errors and it is not built

who is not some novice that knows nothing about building a recovery.img from CyanogenMod source, i can use the home button instead of the power button. is there any easier way to change this than by using a custom recovery_ui.c?

The problem is that it's still not possible to turn on the phone with the volumen button (shutdown/run out of battery). I changed the gpio-keys.kl and Generic.kl file for remapping.

The bootloader is unlocked from previous ROM experiments but this ICS is stock/unrooted.
A few weeks later, the power button now doesn't work. This is a VERY common issue, but no one knows for sure if it is Hardware or Software. I was going to lock my bootloader and send it in to get a fix or replacement device from my carrier. Alternatively, I was going to attempt to flash a ROM onto it and see if the button comes back.
The bizarre thing is that when I go into fastboot, the device freezes and I cannot use any of the buttons. Furthermore, below the device information, nothing else shows up. The device shows up to ADB when booted, but Device Manager doesn't even find an unknown device when in Fastboot.
I have a HTC HD2 which had WinMo before. Long time ago I changed it to Android. Couple of days ago, I wanted to change to a new Android version so I deleted the whole OS on my Android to install a new one.I got stuck on the Magdlr option because I couldn't go select any option. I realized then, that my call button is broken! how it is possible to install Android, because WinMo sucks!!

I can get into download mode though. I use cwm 5.0.2.8
I have a Mytouch 3g with 3.5mm that will not boot past the "HTC magic" screen. I know the first boot after flashing a new rom is supposed to take a while because I've done it before successfully, but this time I've left it for hours and when I come back the phone is dead, so I fully charge the battery and try again, same thing.
I can still get to Hboot (maybe there's hope?) and this is what I see:

i have Samsung Galaxy Young S6310 rooted with CWM and orig kernel. Today i entered in recovery mode with Quick Boot app show some CWM recovery features to my friend and when i select ''reboot system now'' it show Samsung logo and CWM was back. Every time. Simple i cant start my phone. I can only enter to Recovery and Download mode. I search some posts, where peoples have same problem. Somebody said that I need to flash original recovery, i have it, but my USB debugging is off and Odin have trouble find my device. I have installed drivers on pc. Last thing - i havent got backup, so i am here.
