Nov 20, 2009I wanna set the ADB_ENABLED and USB_MASS_STORAGE_ENABLED option automatically in my App.
so i add below statement in my App(Activity).
---------------------- Settings.Secure.putInt(getContentResolver(), Settings.Secure.ADB_ENABLED, 0);
or
Settings.Secure.putInt(getContentResolver(), Settings.Secure.ADB_ENABLED, 1); ----------------------
and add below statement in my App(manifest).
---------------------- .... </application> <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.WRITE_SETTINGS" /> <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS" /> .... ----------------------
but some exception are occured in runtime like below.

General :: Droid Razr Maxx - Switch To New Google Account And Delete Old One
Jun 20, 2012I have a Droid Razr Maxx through Verizon. When I had the phone setup, I had to create a Google account (gmail). Since then, I created another Google account with a username I prefer.
How do I switch the phone over to my new Google account so I can delete the old one? I want to keep the same email notifications with the new account as well.

General :: Razr M - No Google Account For Contacts
May 9, 2014I rooted my Razr M (XT905) to remove a bunch of the pre installed apps.All worked fine and phone runs great. But I cant import my contacts from my google account. Gmail and app store syncing works fine, just contacts are missing.
When I access the options menu in the contact section, google isn't showing. When I look at the accounts in the settings menu, the google account is there and has the option checked to sync 'people details' (guessing this is the same as contacts).
So I'm guessing I've deleted something when removing the apps.

One of the issues is that I could not find a way to download the playlists I had created in google music onto the phone. So, I created playlists on my phone, made sure all of my music was set to be on the device. As soon as I made a playlist on my phone it immediately began downloading those songs out of the cloud.

General :: Razr M Google Calendar Sync Overwrites Blank Fields On Device From Server
Nov 20, 2012I'm encountering a strange behavior when syncing my Google calendar to the standard calendar app on my Droid Razr M (running Android 4.1.1). Almost everything works fine, including syncing events, deleting events, etc. However, if I have an event that has been synced already (i.e. the event is visible both on the phone and on a PC browser), and if that event has a text field (like "Location" or "Description") that has some text in it, then if I completely delete the text on the phone's version of the event, the text reappears after just a few seconds; clearly the event on the server is copying itself back onto the event on the phone. If I delete the text on the PC, then the text gets properly deleted on the phone also.
Note that everything other than completely deleting a text field on the phone works fine. e.g., I can alter (but not delete) the text on the phone and then the PC gets the correct update.

Aug 5, 2013I just got 2 motorola Razr M phones. Both my wife and I have android tablets running ICS but different brands..Neither tablet can get to the internet with the Razr M hotspot. They connect to the phone and the phone reports them as connected. But I can't browse the internet. These are not mainstream tablets but they're good ones. They worked with my Droid X and the short time I had a Windows phone 8 they worked fine as well. I've not had any trouble until now. How can 2 droids not talk? I can solve the issue by using windows hosted network and connectifyme. Both tablets will connect to connectify me and get on the net through the phone that way. I'd just like to solve this issue rather than do a work around. Carrying a laptop just to route ICS is not very practical. I've tried everything including third party apps to no avail. Foxfi sucks so bad I had to do a factory reset to get rid of the lock screen password it creates now AND pdanet is now bundled with Foxfi so I can't even try USB tethering. I did try some USB tethering apps I found on Google Play but none of them worked. Both tablets are rooted. So is there a way to replace the network software? Is there a way to upgrade to Jelly Bean?

The battery life is definitely better then my old android but I know people getting over 15 hours so called 'heavy usage' If theres anything you see that I can turn off or lessen the usage of something. I feel like I'm either unaware of something running the background that's sucking up battery life like the music player or maybe possibly not getting full potential. I've already done a factory reset and added apps back in slowly but still same kind of battery life. I've turned off date connection and turn on wifi when I'm home and it hardly improves, also use smart actions. I'll accept the fact that I'm expecting too much. But I'm just curious about what other Maxx users are getting?
