I use Link2SD and it automatically moves most apps to my SD card. For some reason my SD card won't let me transfer most things to it now. When trying to link apps to the SD I get the error messages shown below and if I connect to the phone with Wifi Explorer Pro some files won't upload and it says I/O error. I've used Root Explorer to change the data directory to r/w and it still doesn't seem to work.

I have an app that was installed via Android Market. And so, the Android Market knows when new versions are out and notifies me of an update. Titanium Backup calls this the 'Market Link', not sure what else it could be called.
how would I go about 'disconnecting' the app from the Market? Deleting the market link as if it were side-loaded?
Yes, I know this means no more updates for the app etc. Which is actually what I'm after.

I am in the process of designing a new item. Its basically a GPS tracker inside the insoles of shoes, which fits universally into all different types of shoes. It is aimed at older people with dementia and perhaps young children. Iv came up with the idea of an app, where the user can select a "safe zone" on their phone, and once that person goes out the safe zone they are notified via the app.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a WebView in my Android App that is loading an HTML string using the loadDataWithBaseURL() method. The problem is that local anchor links (<a href="#link">...) are not working correctly. When the link is clicked, it becomes highlighted, but does not scroll to the corresponding anchor.
This also does not work if I use the WebView's loadUrl() method to load a page that contains anchor links. However, if I load the same URL in the browser, the anchor links do work.
Is there any special handling required to get these to work for a WebView?
I am using API v4 (1.6).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI went to the same site via phone,computer, and Ipad...and my ipad in the chrome browser opened it up in a new tab preferred method. On computer using chrome opened in same tab which is ok. But my phone (moto x) just downloaded it. Even if i hold the link for menu, and click open in new tab. it opened a new tab Still just downloads and closes the new tab out. I also tried chrome beta with no luck. My phone doesn't tell me how to open it or what i needed to do next to see it after its downloaded either. (not intuitive enough) Finally saw in notification and clicked there to get a list of apps, which the browser is not listed. This PDF isn't something that I want to keep i just want to view it. and then close the page /tab and be on my way.
Lastly it downloads this file to my phone. How does one find where it put the bogus file that i didn't want to save in the first place, so i can delete it?

I just got a Milestone 3 (Droid 3) from Alltel (the Alltel that was divested from the Verizon buyout), who is actually Atlantic Telecom Network. They are a great local carrier who has the best coverage in my area.
I rooted the phone, installed various wireless tether apps but whenever I use any of them, I instantly lose my 3G data connection along with a message that says "3G data link lost". Sometimes is comes back right after turning the hotspot off and other times I have to reboot. It never happened with Verizon.

Then i pressed volume up + power button and ended backing up my device on internal sd card wrongly. Now my phone working very very slow because of memory low.
I've tried to deleted the back up by pressing volume up + power and then deleted the files in "back up and restore"
but my device still low on memory, i tried to reset it few times and suddenly it goes on black screen
my tablet still able to finished load samsung logo and still looked fine on homescreen but after i slide it to unlock, the black screen is occurred
i still can access settings, home and back button specially when i access settings, i can't do anything like formating device or deleting applications
i've tried to restore factory settings using clockworkmode by pressing home button and volume up it worked. but when i try to restored my previous back up data, the black screen re occurred.
what should i do? if i can't fix this problem and will have to reset on factory settings, is there any application to read the back up data? since i backed up it on external sd card probably if i can read the data, i could restore some important data.
Yesterday I took a picture and wanted to send it to my brother. I wanted to send him a URL to an uploaded file so I could then share that URL with others in the future. I did not want to email a picture because, frankly, it's not as easy as pasting a URL in a GTalk window.
I spent about 10 minutes thinking of all the ways I could do this using Google services and couldn't find any way to do it on my phone. Here are the options I considered:
Option 1) Upload to Google Plus - but viewing the photo in G+ app doesn't provide a public link. SHaring option only presents your standard email, mms, etc. options. Option 2) Upload to Picasa - but I get the same sharing options as G+ - no option to grab a link. Option 3) Google Drive. This was the last option, but of course it only presents the same options as before. Now, I can create a public link when I'm at a computer, but not on my Android device.
So I ended up having to upload via the imgur app and just sending that link. I'm okay with that for now, but I'm already uploading to G+ automatically; why can't I just get a public url through the app?
That whole process was very disappointing. I wish Google would give us some way, any way, to share a file via URL through a Google App - specifically, Drive.
Is it possible to link the media and notification volume? So when I mute my volume via the volume buttons, that the media volume is also muted. It's similar to the volume management on the iPhone.

In facebook app, a friend posted a soundcloud file, when I click it, it takes me to soundcloud in the play store app. I installed it and still opens the play app. Facebook says it has no defaults set. I reset play's defaults and its still doing it.

so my google play market has updated again and with this new verison 3.5.15 all the apps that i've have had broken the market link to have been relinked to the market and when i try and break the market link again it says that it can't connect to the market DB. which i believe is to the new update of the market to version 3.5.15.

1. I use Android to watch some CNN and bloomberg TV (not radio) that I want to play in the background with the screen off
