General :: Can't Download Apps Onto SD Card - Phone Has No Internal Storage
Oct 16, 2013I have recently bought an 8G sd card for my defy mini but I still cant download apps because the internal memory on my phone is very low. I have to manually switch the app from the memory onto the sd card, and I cant do this because the app wont download at all!

Nov 1, 2012So i'm trying to redownload Poweramp music player, but it says "Insufficient storage available" I have a Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0. It has 1.58gb of Avaliable memory left. and 712mb of system memory. I also have a 32gb microsd card. Poweramp is less than 5mbs, and im getting this insufficient storage popup. I downloaded some other apps to see if i did run out of storage, and i downloaded a few apps that were like 20mbs+ Also I uninstalled some apps.
What else should i try? I used the google play app, and website to try to install.

Mar 15, 2014My daughter got her tablet 2 months ago. She had about 30 apps on it. Played on it Wed night & all was fine. Somewhere between Wed night & Fri night all of the apps disappeared. Today, it made me retype in her google account & all of that(like you do when you FIRST get it) I tried going to Play Store to re-download them & it says insufficient storage. I then went to settings>storage & 0.00 is available! How can her tablet be full when she only has the factory preset apps on it now? I'm attempting to power off & back on. it's taking 20 minutes to power down. Should I just factory reset it?

Total space is 11.5Gb and Available space 11.5Gb
Settings>Storage>SD card
Total space 14.83Gb (aka 16Gb!) and Available space 14.81Gb.

The closest competitor would be SugarSync but I really hate their interface and I think their service is slow and terrible.

Nov 7, 2012I'm getting an "insufficient storage" error on installing apps from Google Play (even small 6mb apps). I find if i delete several apps and run it again it works (there is apparently 470MB free despite this).
I've seen references to changing settings so that Google Play installs to the SD card but cant figure out which apply here. And also to clearing the cache for applications (in the TWRP app perhaps?).
I've run the jmz script from the Nabi 2 root thread, but I think I'm missing a step or two (although apps do in fact install, which they wouldn't before).
General :: 2 Small Internal Storage - How To Swap SD To Be Main Phone Storage?
Aug 23, 2013I've bought this chinese clone of the SIII, it's a MT6575. It's great except for the internal storage, which supposedly is 500MB but there seems to be an invisible SD storage which is 2GB. It's really confusing... When I go to Settings -> Storage there are 3 memories: "Internal Storage" (claims to be 4GB but it's fake, it's actually 500MB), "Phone Storage" (claims to be 16.5GB but it's probably 2GB), and finally my SD, "SD Card" (32GB).
The thing is, I'm having problems downloading big apps because apps go to "Internal Storage" which is 500MB only, and which files are stored in the "Phone Storage" (maybe internal & phone are actually the same?). However when I go to Settings -> Apps, on the "Downloaded" tab, the apps are in "Internal Storage" (500MB), and on the "On SD Card" tab, it shows that apps are in "Phone Storage" (the ones I moved to SD). This means my 32GB SD isn't being used by the system when I send apps to SD probably.
Also, my 32GB SD card is found in /mnt/sdcard2, and the /mnt/sdcard... I don't know which storage is that.
So basically all this is happening because I tried to Link2SD with my 32GB SD doing all the 2 partitions stuff and so, but Link2SD never detects the "secondary SD" which is the 32GB SD, as this fake SD card, "Phone Storage", is probably what the programs thinks to be the SD card.
HTC Desire :: Not Able To Download Applications - Low Internal Storage
Sep 27, 2010About a week ago my phone inexplicably stopped being able to download from the Market. No reason is given, the thing just stalls at the 'starting download' screen. Today, nearly a week later it's finally given me a clue what the problem might be. A notification icon appeared, claiming that I'm low on internal storage. I clicked on the message thinking that it would take me to something useful like a file manager, but no such luck. It took me to the application manager to, I assume, remove some apps. I've got nothing to remove. The only two extra apps I'm running right now are 3G watchdog, Twitter, and Kindle.
As far as I know not much is being stored internally, but is there anyway I can find out what is being stored - I can't find a file manager anywhere. The only thing I can think of is messages might be clogging the thing up (text and mail) I have a mail widget running but it only picks up 1 day's mail at a time - are the messages stored on my phone or are they simply viewed on the server. I also have a few hundred text messages stored, but I can't imagine they would take up that much space?

Dec 3, 2009Where do downloaded email attachments(documents, pdfs, etc..) get stored? My internal memory is at 70MB and if i recall correctly it was around 200+MB when i bought the phone. I put on apps, but not 130+MB worth, and my cache is clear. Any other ideas what might be eating up my internal storage?

Sep 28, 2013I am unable to download any application from samsung apps, when I open samsung apps it shows all software and all navigation works well but when I try to download anything the waiting circle comes and it stuck at waiting circle forever and then I have to exit samsung apps.
I tried uninstalling samsung apps by root uninstaller and then installing it back again from apk , I tried clear data/cache many times, I tried updating samsung apps too.Although google play is working fine.

May 31, 2012Sometimes my dad grounds me from using some of my chat apps that i use to talk to all of my friends. He always checks the Google Play Store on my phone and looks under My Apps and then All so he can see if i've downloaded one of them. If i download it from the play store it will show up here, even if i've already deleted it. I used to be able to get around this by downloading the .apk file for the app from another website, and not from the play store. That way it wouldn't show up in the My Apps section. But the other day i did this and the app still showed up in the My Apps part of the play store, even though i didn't download it from there.
Is another way to download an app so it doesn't show up after i delete it?

Oct 30, 2013I just installed CM7 on my Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5839i. Everything is working fine except downloading apps, every time I try I get the error "App could not be downloaded due to an error (429)".
I tried this fix:
1. adb shell
2. su
3. mkdir /cache/download
4. chown system:cache /cache/download
5. chmod ug+rwx /cache/download
6. chmod a+x /cache/download
But ADB tells me that the filesystem is read-only when I try to make the download directory in cache.

I have downloaded lots of apps, but now there seems to be a problem. When I click to download, nothing happens, and then an orange triangle appears with the words "download was unsuccessful, please try again." I have tried all of the suggestions out there, removing and replacing the battery and SIM card, turning Wifi off and back on, logging out of Google Talk (although I seem to be automatically logged back in w/out doing anything), using 2G, 3G and Wifi.

I read on an xda post that I should have no problem after ICS downloading multiple apps at the same time, but I have found that untrue. I'm talking about multiple devices. OG Atrix, One X, S2, S3, S4, Note 2, Nexus 7. Using stock software, CM or other ROMs; Google Play will only download one app at a time which makes changing to a new phone incredibly time consuming.
Was that xda post correct or can no one download multiple apps at a time from the Play Store?
