I just got a HTC One SV but i'm not sure how to add music from my computer. I plugged it into my computer, but in 'my computer' my phone isn't showing up so how am i meant to drag and drop?? And i don't want to have to buy music off the google play store off my phone..

I copy all my music files into google music on my sd card! They all went away. The only thing that is left is the band title folder, they are all empty inside. Is there any recovery or did I make a huge mistake? sdcard/andriod/data/com.goole.andriod.music..I still have all my "on device music" from google.

Theres already an icon in the apps called Music, but I have no music in it, is it possible to set this up and listen to music with all the mp3 files i have.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am going to get a Droid Razr Maxx soon. I have the doubletwist app for my music on my current phone, the droid 2 global. On doubletwist all my music is there, but the file is not there for that song on my computer (this is the case for about 300 songs). These songs, without the file on my computer, play perfectly fine on my phone so will I be fine to get my new phone and go home and open doubletwist and sync the music to my new phone without any problems?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhat I'm looking to do is stream music via the Google Music app from my phone to my PC (Windows 7). I tried an app called Music Remote which lets you stream music that you're playing via the Google Music app to any other Android device that has Music Remote installed on it. You set up one device as a server, one as a client. I used Bluestacks to run the Music Remote app on my PC, set it up as a server, but I can't see it on my phone. Or vice versa.
I could just use something like Gmote but the problem is that all my music is in the cloud (I have almost none on my PC or phone), so I need something that will basically take the audio that's playing on my phone and stream it to my PC.
The only other option I can think of is to get a cheap used Android phone, hook it up to my stereo, and stream to that phone. But I'd rather not do that.
Or I could buy a Nexus Q, but that's stupid. My PC should work as a sever - same as the Nexus Q.
Basically, I want to be able to lay in bed and control my stereo via my phone (my PC is my stereo). Also, I don't want to use Bluetooth because of the sound quality issues.
I'm on a Gnex with 4.1 btw.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI just bought a 2TB Western Digital MyBook Live. For those of you who do not know what it is let me briefly explain. It is a 2TB drive that looks like any other WD MyBook. The only difference is it connects directly to your router (not to your computer) and it allows me to have my own personal cloud right here in my house.
Among other things, I put my music library on the share so I can access from wherever I am. I know that there is an app called WD2Go by WD, and this allows me to access/play my music, but I do not like the format.
I also do NOT want to upload my music to Google Music in order to have it stream to my device.
I want to know if there is a way or an app, to stream my music directly from my own source right to my phone.
I have my primary android phone (Nexus 4) and an old android phone (MyTouch 4g). I would like to set up an "AirPlay" like system on a nice (but outdated) stereo system using DLNA. I was thinking about doing this by using my primary phone as the Digital Media Server (DMS), and my old android phone as the Digital Media Player (DMP).

The primary phone - DMS, would be used to send the music to the old phone - DMP, which would then output the music via 3.5mm jack into the aux on my stereo. The only downfall I can think of to this setup would be the fact that I would have to dedicate a phone to the stereo, but that's not a problem because I don't use it anyway!
i have a kyocera hydro. i took my 8gb sd card from my old phone, deleted a few things from it that i didnt see a use in having on there (don't ask me what exactly, i dont remember now), and tried to simply put my pictures and music back onto the sd card to have in the hydro.
the folders listed on the card are as follows: .android_secure, Android, fastnote, LOST.DIR, and smvvm. the phone wont recognize my photos or music. i tried putting the music files in numerous places on the card to see if they'd be found, to no avail. i'm not sure if i deleted something i need on there, if i can get that back if that's the case.
I have used winamp, mediaGO, a couple of Android PC suites and the basic copy and paste my files directly into the phone.
I keep on getting an error, is it something to do with the ICS update???(I have a Xperia Ray)
I got this phone about a month ago, I put 3 albums off of my music library onto the phone and no error appeared, I then got myself a new micro SD card and then realized that ICS had been released for my phone. After the update I was unable to sync music to my phone
Put a few songs on the new Vibrant--under SD folder...However, nothing shows in my music player.

We are trying to figure out a way to access and save/download them without having physical access to the phone. I don't know the google/gmail account associated with the phone. Is there any way to change the gmail account for that phone and then be able to access photos and music data? We just want her pictures and music, and the only thing I can figure is that without knowing the gmail account of the phone, there's no other way to get this. Also not sure if it's all saved in the google account since the music was DL'd using 3rd party music apps.

I previously had a Galaxy S2 which I could connect to my Cooper via USB and it would read my music, playlists and podcasts and play them on the car speakers. About a year ago it stopped doing that and I thought it was b/c the phone was so old. I eventually upgraded to Galaxy S5 now in April, and the car still will not recognize the phone, read my music, playlist and podcasts. I took it to dealership but they say it's an Android problem. we bought the new Infiniti and I have the same problem. Before I try to take the Infiniti back to the dealer. I have no issues with the Bluetooth picking up the phone's functions and making calls, but cannot get the audio system to recognize or read my files and play them.

I have always been able to play music by putting the actual songs in the music folder.
I thought maybe if I used the function that puts the songs on the phone I would be able to search them up that way, but no dice.

I'm getting two bars Max 1 mostly. And everytime I'm listening to music using both airsync and even imediashare about 3 songs it music just stops. I figured it was my screen turning off so I kept it on and in the middle of my song it stops... then whenever I go to change the song on the 360 my Xbox freezes due to the app -.+ I can't seem to get any of these apps to work and its really frustrating because I just wanna listen to music. ( it wasnt a samsung.i forgot what it was), and for a while, it was working fine in the new phone. however every once in a while, pictures,videos and music get corrupted and i dont know why.( i would save it to cloud,but it takes an extremely long time even with wifi. google+ backs up alot of ny files for me,but idk if it backs up audio.)
somehow the phone messes up my files. at first, music that i had already saved on the external SD card i could listen to(although some songs were corrupted and skipped a lot),but any new music had to be in the phone, or else i couldnt play it. now,NONE of the music can be on the exteral card so i have to move it to the phone just to hear it. id rather keep my music on my external SD card,so i could move it whenever i get a new phone.

I like using Google play music but the application has been changing my album art around and i cant figure out how to change it back.I saved a picture to my external SD card and Google music decided to tag all the Unknown Artists with the picture, but it only seems to show up in Google Music.

One of the issues is that I could not find a way to download the playlists I had created in google music onto the phone. So, I created playlists on my phone, made sure all of my music was set to be on the device. As soon as I made a playlist on my phone it immediately began downloading those songs out of the cloud.
