General :: Can't Access Recovery Mode On Nexus 4 - Red Triangle
Jun 15, 2013I tried to root my Nexus 4, and well I'm not too sure if it is rooted but after unlocking the bootloader and wiping the data, I got it to boot back up and then since then when I turn it off and try and go into recovery mode it has a dead android with a red triangle and says "No command." I can use the phone normally but it just wont let me get into recovery mode.

Jun 15, 2013I used my galaxy ace (I had the low memory icon) when playstore has updated an application, then suddenly all my applications are set to "force stop" including Holo launcher, so I rebooted, but the I had teh cyanogenmod 7 icon repeat (bootloops) I cann't access to the recovery mode (I had RAMDUMP mode (ARM9 mode)) I can access to the "downloading" mode so I wanted to flash a stock rom (even three in fact) with odin multidownload 4.38 but nothing happens when Odin has restarted my phone, I had the little android image that works then a message like: "E: failed to mount storage (invalid argument)" and the phone started to reboot loop I've tried dozens of manipulations unsuccessfully kies does not see my phone I do not know what to do,
PS: I've tried all the manipulations removing the battery / SIM card and sd waited 5 minutes, I was able to put the phone in Emergency Mode DLOAD but it nothing happens the only real thing that still works is the "Downloading "mode , but I think my recovery mode was crushed and I cann't access it even when I can flash with odin I always have the problem of "E: failed to mount storage" (the same style as him [URL]...

May 31, 2014I tried to do a cyanogenmod update, but something went wrong and now I can't boot into android. I've tried going back into the recovery mode to reflash the rom, but it freezes there. I've also tried flashing clockworkmod recovery through ODIN and download mode, but the download back never moves at all, so I'm not sure if I can't use download mode or if it's just that ODIN isn't doing anything.

Aug 10, 20101st Post, got my htc desire this morning and after researching for a long time already knew i wanted to root my device.I followed the instructions on this site.[HOWTO] Root Your Desire In 1 Click With UnrEVOked! *UPDATED 20/7* - xda-developers I used unrevoked3, and rooted the device. no trouble Ive backed up the device with titanium backup. Placed cyanogen onto the 4gb sd card which came with the phone.Power off the device. Rebooted whilst holding the volume down button. Got the options up. Navigated to recovery and selected it with the power button. The screen goes blank. The o2 screen comes up saying welcome and thats it, it freezes. I have to pull the battery out of the back in order to reset the device and then it starts up perfectly normal. Tried accessing recovery mode using the clockworkmod but i get the same result.All of the points on the link above were followed. Sep 2, 2010I was able to access recovery mode on my bricked phone in a way that all of you may think is stupid.I have a Bell Canada Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant. My phone somehow bricked it self a few days ago. I wasnt able to get into recovery mode at all, no matter what I tried, how many times, and I tried every single method with no success.People on XDA Forums were mentioning about heat somehow allowing you to access the recovery mode. Some said putting it facedown in the sun for a few minutes, some said plugging it in for 15-20 min, some said playing games on the phone to heat it will would also allow them to access the un-accessible recovery mode on their phone.I tried all of them. I put my phone in the oven for 5 minutes, twice, last night, did not work. Ok I thoght to myself. Maybe I need more heat. To get it hot to the touch.So I tried once again today, and what a shock, I was able to get in recovery mode via the 3 button - WITH BATTERY OUT, HOLD VOL UP + HOME BUTTON + POWER BUTTON, then insert battery, and let go of the power button once your phone turns on.Took 3 seconds to set everything to restore, in the recovery mode.It worked for me. If you are going to try this, maybe try with a hair blow dryer first.dont have one of those, so I couldnt, to be safer.I will not be held accountable for any damage you do if you leave it in too long or damage your phone in any way.This worked for me. Apr 15, 2014I have a Samsung Galaxy S Plus where, after flashing CWM with Odin, and installing cm11, I'm stuck on an infinite boot animation. But that is not the big issue. I need to enter Recovery Mode, where I have a backup, but the problem is that my Volume Up button is not working, so I can't use the Power Button and Volume Up(I also don't know what could possibly wrong with it) one to get there. So I was wondering if there is some other method to enter Recovery, I suppose by computer. I think that when I used Odin, the device restarted being in Download Mode, and I think that it hasn't to be On to do that.

Oct 7, 2012I guess as I rooted my att GS3 just fine and flashed a new aokp rom and was up and running but started to have intermittent flickering. It prompted me to reflash rom with CM10 and this is were my problems began. I wiped data/factory reset, cache partition,Dalvik cache, mounts & storage format cache, and accidentally format emmc which I think is my problem. I was able to still reboot to CWM recovery but I can't do much more than that, and now I can't get to CWM recovery mode at all. Have tried to boot and reflash from ex/sdcard no good. PC doesn't recognize phone to do recovery from backup and I didn't do internal backup which I now know was dumb. Is there anything I can do to get back up and running or did I screw myself and have to get a new phone?

However, now when I try to install Cyanogenmod I can't get into recovery?? When I go into bootloader, at the bottom it says "Fastboot Status - FAILInvailed Command". And when I click on Recovery, the Google logo shows up with an unlocked image below it. It flashes a few times and then reboots the phone regularly.

Then I flashed CWM with Mobile Uncle Tool. It said that I flashed sucessfully, I got no error. But when I reboot the phone to recovery mode, nothing happend, the phone just did a normal reboot! I tried to flash other third-party recovery mode such as TWRP and MIUI recovery but I got the same problem: the phone couldn't get into recovery. The screen with a text "Recovery mode" appeared in 3s and the phone just did a normal reboot. I couldn't even format factory, all I got was just a normal reboot. I even tried many tools on Google Play and MTK flashtool but there were no hope. Now my phone is working normally but can't get into recovery mode.

before doing anything , when i enter the recovery mode it shows a picture of an Android and a Triangle next to it " Which should be the background image of the recovery mode " and there's no menus or anything , nothing appears even if i press power or volume buttons
So now after i rooted the phone , installed another recovery.img with MobileUncle , it just keeps stuck on the phone's logo and doesnt even show that triangle picture and it doesnt show anything but the phone's logo
I tried a lot of different recovery.img files but none worked, Then I tried a recovery img that worked for another guy who has the same mobile kind , it worked for him but didnt work for me
Even after flashing it with MobileUncle , still i get the same problem..
All what i edited in the root files was the boot sound and animation and i even restored the stock ones back and still the same problem
and the last_log file in System(Root)/cache/recovery Includes this

Mar 21, 2013I want to make a clean hard reset of my GoClever Tab R974.2 but no matter what I do it won't load the bootloader. I tried all pssible combinations of all 3 abailable buttons (power,vol+,vol-) and all possible pressing times from a few seconds to a minute.I also tried rebooting into bootloader via the ADB but without any luck (device not recognized).My main problem with this system is that I tried to root it and it seemed like it worked, the superuser .apk was installed, however when I tried to start Titanium backup or any other prog that requires root access, it shows that there is no root access. Then I also tried z4root, but no luck either and SuperOneClick just freezes when restaring the ADB daemon.

in order to flash the CM9 ROM. Problem is I can NOT reboot into recovery no matter what I do it seems. When I try tp reflash the CWM recovery it tells me "successfully installed!" then when I press 'reboot into recovery" it gets stuck on the LG logo for so long I often have to hold the power button to go back to my device. I even download "recovery flasher utility" found here [URL]....but, whenever I run the app it tells me "no recovery.img" found onexternal SDCARD even though I placed it there! I tried to fastboot but whenever I run CMD it tells me " 'fastboot is not recognized."

I installed ClockworkMod 5.0.2.0 using ROM Manager and since then I haven't been able to boot into recovery mode. I can get into bootloader but not recovery. I've tried powering it on with the volume button down, using the recovery reboot option, and tried using "Reboot into Recovery" in ROM Manager, but I keep seeing the same thing. It boots with the HTC logo then goes black then at this point i believe I should be seeing recovery mode but instead I see the HTC logo again and then it just boots like normal. Is there something I did wrong and is there a way to get recovery to work again?
General :: Attempted OS Install / Cannot Get Into Recovery Mode
May 1, 2014I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 SCH-R760.Tried to update phone from standard IceCreamSandwich to Jelly Bean via Samsung provided Simple Upgrade Tool. Very new to flashing phones, forgot to check model number, first attempt failed. Eventually got the right one (difficult to do with my model apparently), and the mobile network wouldn't work. Was told to reset APN, could not find it anywhere in the system.
Got fed up and decided to revert back to original OS, which failed. Waited overnight (it was late) with the phone off. Found the right file (just going to go back to Jelly Bean), however whenever I attempted to get into recovery mode it told me there was not enough power and to charge the phone. Phone was plugged in, this happened a couple of times. Now after the phone has been plugged in for well over 3 hours I cannot get the phone to power on or anything, it absolutely will not respond. Attempted to use Kies, will not recognize my phone model and is waiting for the phone to be connected anyway. When plugged in (trying/using various different cords) I have a little faint blue light flashing in the top left corner of the phone (not the phone screen).
The phone has been in excellent condition up until this point, and I have little reason to believe that my battery just suddenly went 100% bad after showing no signs of decay in recent weeks.

Jun 10, 2013I tried to upgrade my P3100 to Slim-p3100-4.2.2.build.6-OFFICIAL following the tutorial i found.
Result of this is that now tablet is non more able to enter either CWM recovery nor odin download mode and after normal boot i can only see a flashing Slim logo on the right part of the screen.
The best i am able to obtain is a "forced upload by key pressing" screen rebooting with all three buttons pressed.Odin can see the device but when i try to re-upload cwm is stits in Establishing connection.
