I have an android tablet, nextbook.
I have a USB Keyboard plugged in, but if it's plugged in, I cannot use any other keyboard except physical one. I even try turning off USB Keyboard, but it won't turn off.
What to do?

I've been searching for a while now and cant find a definitive answer on whether or not this can be rooted. My son got one for Christmas and I want to root it for him. It has ICS 4.0 and Google Play already pre-installed.

Due to my very limited experience in building kernels(where I believe the "option" to enable/disable this is)/roms + the lack of sources for the tablet(just getting into fastboot took a while).

I have been doing some research and found a lot of apps that allow you to use the tablet as a monitor for your computer. But that is not what I want to do. I was wondering if there was a way to setup the tablet so that I could move my mouse over from the monitor onto the tablet and control the Android Tablet with my computer's mouse and keyboard in the Android environment. So this way I can run things like Calendar, Email, Hangouts and other apps with my mouse and keyboard just by moving it over from my main displays like I can between a primary and secondary screen.

View 4 Replies View Related i have this nextbook next8p12 tablet it has a rockchip 29 board and its on ICS 4.0.3, i looked everywhere to root this guy, but no luck most of the root scripts dont recognize the device, maybe i dont know how to root in the first place and dont know where to find the drivers and how to install'em.
Itried to access the device's stock recovery, but it freeze's and had to hard reset it twice.
I'd like to figure out how to connect my Yamaha MIDI keyboard to my Asus tf101 tablet for recording via hardwired USB.
I've scoured the web looking for an app or solution to this and have come up generally blank, I've tried all the free midi controller apps, but they only seem to support Wifi or Bluetooth, which my keyboard is unable to do.
I'd like to eliminate my computer as a middleman (If I'm at my computer I'd just use that) and be able to use my tablet to record on the go!

Works fine on computer and no issues so far via usb.
When the phone is plugged into the ac charger, swype acts erratic when using it, as soon as I unplug from the charger, it swypes smoothly. Can someone verify this?

I'm not sure if they're full apps or just simply icons to download apps or get more information. I have tried to avoid using them. I know previously I had a couple apps that were sending notifications to the notification system that I considered to be spam. After some research I found out how you can find out which apps are doing it and disable notifications from those apps so that took care of that.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had my nexus 4 since around July and I just around January it started turning off by itself every once in a while. it started then happening more and more recently and now it turns off whenever its not plugged. It basically only works when I have it charging. ive dropped it way more than a "few times" and the back is cracked but does this have to do with the frustrating fact that it doesn't work unless its plugged in? Also when its not plugged in, if I turn it on it will turn on and the farthest it'll get is to the "Google" logo in the beginning and then turn off and on and on again by itself constantly until it practically drains its own battery and doesn't re-turn on.

View 2 Replies View RelatedRooted Aria/Liberty won't turn on if it's plugged in (wall charger or USB). The orange charging light is on and the screen is lit but black. The menu buttons do not turn on. I have to remove the battery after unplugging it for it to turn on.
The phone is rooted and the problem is consistent no matter what ROM I use. I believe it is a problem with the bootloader, but I'm not very advanced with these things.

Then yesterday it did the same thing but it never came back on. the phone was fully charged and as i went to reach for my phone to wake it up it didnt do anything. I have tried the power and volume for 2 mins nothing. I have had it on the charger but all it does it is hot but no light. I have never rooted this phone and dont know what is wrong with it. I only had this phone for 1yr and 3 months. All my contacts, recipies, photos, ect are on it i even tried to see if i can contact it to the manager nothing.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIt seems something changed in GingerBread release that changes either how phone communicates with PC or whatever, but if you plug it into PC that runs Windows 7 OS and then put PC in sleep mode, the phone will still show charging icon, but will rapidly discharge.
I've noticed this on Atrix 4G, when it had Froyo 2.2 it would stay 100% charged overnight, but once it got updated to GB 2.3, I can't leave it connected to PC anymore, by the morning it's completely dead. (by the way it can last at least 12 hours if unplugged and laying on table)
Unfortunately Atrix 4G is the only phone I have that can get Froyo to confirm this, but all others phones I've tried so far all have GB 2.3.x and all suffer the same issue.

I upgraded my Samsung S I9000 from stock ROM Gingerbread to Cyanogen 10 (Android ICS).
The phone used to beep when plugged and now it does not anymore. Having I sight issues that audio clue was useful.
I cannot find how to enable it back.
I like my apps to be kept up to date automatically. But I'd rather it happens overnight when my phone is plugged in, rather than when I'm at work for the day and will be needing every last bit of battery juice. I know that there is a setting for update over wifi only. Any way to extend this to only when on wifi and plugged it? Could this be achieved with tasker? Is there a way on charging event to change the toggle whether or not automatic updates happen?

it used to charge on the plug when i would have it already plugged into my computer for a little bit. but now it doest work anymore..
I've had problems since the 4th month of this phone and its at a year now. It lost it's wifi back then and I managed to get it back by wiping it a number of times, both factory resets and android type.Other problems have occurred, I've taken care of them along the way. Now, the phone only works if it's plugged in. If it isn't, it goes dead. Shuts itself off immediately without a plug-in charge.
Btw, Samsung never would honor the warranty, citing they" don't replace phones but would "take a look at it" but couldn't "guarantee what they could do for it's software". I've had Samsung phones before and never had problems like this.
My phone( HTC Explorer /Pico A310) wont completely boot unless power cable is plugged. Yesterday, my phone just restarted when I was doing nothing. Then it goes till white screen where HTC logo is displayed(before boot animation) and restarts. It goes on repeatedly.
If I remove my battery and reinsert it after some time, phone starts automatically(without pressing power button) and goes to boot loop. I can enter into HBOOT by holding volume down key but factory reset, recovery etc wont work.
When I insert my power cable, It starts as it should, everything is fine. If I remove it while phone is on, it just restarts and whole process repeats..
My phone is not rooted, its still in stock rom GB 2.3.3. Its still S-ON.
I tried factory reset by power cable plugged in, reset was successful but nothing worked.. problem still there..
