I try to view photos using the Facebook App, it redirects me to Facebook's mobile site using the internet browser ... is that what it is supposed to do? Facebook for Android does not support picture viewing? I have to say this Facebook app is very weak compared to the iPhone's.

I'm in my FB app, and my cousin posted photos to his news feed that I wanted to look at. I click it and it looks like it tries to send me to the m.facebook.com mobile site... except every time I click a picture, I get the following error: "The page you requested cannot be displayed right now. It may be temporarily unavailable, the link you clicked on may be broken or expired, or you may not have permission to view this page." I have had my DInc for two days now, and have not yet been able to view photos that are published to my news feed! And it's not just my cousin's photos, it's any photos on the news feed... even ones I post!

Unfortunately some of the contacts seem to keep changing back to the facebook photo after a short while, whilst others remain OK.I have been struggling with this for quite some time, each time I change the selected image back to google but it always changes itself back.

I'm having some issues with the facebook app (native). I can't seem to upload photos, I don't get an error message or anything just photo cannot be uploaded.
I've been having problems with the native app, therefore I downloaded BLOO. I just don't like the idea of having 2 different FB apps to do everything I want to do :- would love any advice.

So I went to Albums and signed into my facebook page. I can see the photos and email them, but I cannot save them to my phone. Is the only way of doing this is going to the browser and long-clicking it to save? Is there an app which will copy them in bulk to my phone?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having a problem with getting Facebook photos to upload to my wall. Instead they're just showing up in the Mobile Uploads section, without ever appearing in the news feed. I've searched everywhere online and found a few people with the same problem, but no solutions.
What's odd is I didn't have this problem when I tried the same thing yesterday. Yesterday was the first time I'd directly uploaded a photo from my phone to Facebook, though I've had my Droid for months. (Yeah, I'm a little slow with some of this stuff). I used the method of going to the Gallery, choosing my photo and then selecting Menu > Share > Facebook. I added a caption, and the photo & caption showed up on myFacebook wall, just the way I wanted.
Today I tried the same method for a new photo, and it didn't show up on my wall at all, just went straight to Mobile Uploads. As far as I can figure, I did everything exactly the same as I did it yesterday, but maybe I'm missing something. Can anyone think of a step I might have missed, or does anyone know a way to fix this?
I promise I searched. I also looked at the "Here are the similar threads we found:" suggestions.
Anyways. Just got a Moto Droid. Downloaded Handcent SMS. It's great. However the ONE thing I can't figure out, is why do SOME of my contacts have their Facebook pictures, and others don't? I have "synched" with Facebook multiple times. The contacts I have saved have the exact same names as their Facebook profiles, so it should pop up, right?
I know there is an app called Gmote for music and video. But is there one for pictures. And is there an app to upload/download pictures to and from the computer. Sorry if this has been asked again. I searched for a thread. I figured I wasn't the first person to want this but I don't see anything.

If it were on a linux PC I would be installing GThumb, on windows ACDSEE. I have tried Photo Burst. It crashes and I had to reset the phone. I have tried Picture Viewer but the latest version does not pan at all. The only way to do something like this with the stock viewer is to have all your photos in the root of the sdcard in folders or within download. Not really the neatest way of doing this.

When you go to the facebook picture from an album there was an option that said "set as". Well today I went to go try to set a picture to another friend and the "set as" option no longer shows up? View 2 Replies View RelatedI just set up my Droid Eris to sync my contacts with their Facebook profile so that their photos would show up in my contacts. I synced them all and them matched up properly, but their pictures are not aligned properly. When I first did it, their faces were aligned and everything looked ok, except some pictures were pretty pixelated. But after a few minutes, the pixelation went away and the quality of the pictures was better, except a lot of my contacts have their head not in the photo or just misaligned. More than half are off.I thought at first it was that they didn't set up their picture properly on Facebook, but I looked at their mini pictures (like the ones that show up in the news feed) and their faces were showing up properly. Even their mini pictures on the facebook app are correct. And these seem to be the same size as the pics in my contacts.Why is it that my contacts photos aren't aligned right on some of them and how can I fix this?

When I click on their facebook account through the contact card their profile doesn't show either their profile picture or any of their photo albums. Most of my other friends are syncing and properly showing pictures, but for some reason a fair number won't display any pictures. Anyone else having this problem?

With the backflip it was so simple, take the pic, tap share, tap facebook.I tried that on this phone but when I do share my options are picasa, bluetooth, gmail, email, allshare, messaging and online locker.And when I log onto facebook through the website or app there is no option for uploading photos.I have googled this topic to death and find absolutely nothing.

I've played around with the settings on Facebook, but I don't know if I'm missing anything. I've also been able to access all of my photos and all of photos of my friends (including the one mentioned above) using the BFF Photo app for Android.I can access all my photos from Flickr just fine, and I can upload pictures to Facebook just fine using Facebook for Android, but I just can't view MY photos using any HTC app. I can also update my status just fine using the HTC Facebook app. Any ideas on things I should check?
View 5 Replies View RelatedFor most Google Contacts, once linked to a facebook account, properly display the photo as the contact photo. There are a few though that oddly don't. I can see their picture on facebook itself, it just doesn't get pulled into the Contact. I've inquired to these individuals and they don't seem to be using any particular privacy setting that would affect this.
