Nexus : Way To Get A Weather Location?
Feb 22, 2010I have the stock News/Weather widget on my main screen and when I try to Use my Location setting, the weather widget displays No Weather Location Available. I tried turning on my gps and wifi but it still doesn't work. The news part updates fine its just the weather that is not working. It was working for a month and then it stopped working. Anyone know a fix for this?

Jul 14, 2010A few days ago the weather suddenly stopped working on the native News and Weather app. All I keep getting is the Sorry, weather currently unavailable message. The news however, is still working fine.
When I do a refresh it doesn't change and when I try to manually set my location it always comes back as "nothing found" no matter what I type in. I've tested it in different Wi-Fi locations as well as using 3G which all returned the same result.
This is weird because the weather is working and updating fine on my Fancy Widget app. GPS is also working fine.
I've tried rebooting the phone as well with no change.
I'm running the OTA version of Android 2.2 build FRF91 on my Nexus One.

Jul 13, 2010I was wondering, maybe I have a bad .apk but for some reason when it's night, it will still show a sun, wtf? It'll show the correct temp, for example, right now it's 66* but it's showing a bright sun saying 'clear', umm it's clear, but there is NO sun in sight lol. How can I fix this or is this the same on the N1?

Jun 26, 2010I've been looking for a simple yet powerful weather widget for quite sometime. (I don't need goofy weather animations.) The N1 news/weather widget is exactly what I was looking for, and it runs great on the Evo. The included app is also very nice, I like seeing a graph of temp change over time.

May 9, 2010I found this apk from another site so If anybody wants a nexus one weather/news widget I attached it here. It works with the Incredible. You just need to put the apk in the sd card, download AndExplorer from the market and install it.

Mar 31, 2010I doubt anyone is as excited about this as I am but with the 2.1 update, the Moto Droid has received the Nexus One News and weather app. I have been searching for something like this for along time and there were a few out there but nothing like the one that 2.1 has just given us. I know I sound like a loon but news and weather is part of my daily morning ritual and this just made it better!

Oct 28, 2009I tap weather icon, get current location no city name and the weather info, I then tap "+" hit my location and it finds my city Corning NY, I add this to the weather app, I close out and hit weather app again and now I have to locations, the one that says current location and the one that says Corning NY, both weather datas are the same. My question is how to I delete or get rid of the current location weather data screen and have only the Corning NY screen when I open the weather app? The data for both is the same but I don't want 2 locations(one named) for the same data.

May 17, 2010So since the 2.1 OTA my weather widget will display the city, but no weather icon. if i sync it manually, it will show up. with 1.5 it would update every 3 hours, regardless if i had Background data on or off (i normally keep it off).
so now with 2.1 it wont sync unless i have BG data on, or do it manually. any way around this?

Sep 10, 2010I tried removing it and adding it back about ten times and it still won't show the weather..just says "my location" under the clock. If I click on the clock and load it, I can then click on the clock and it will load the weather screen, updated and all...but it still refuses to load it on the home screen with the time. Happened a few days after froyo update. How can I get the weather back as part of the clock widget??

It also used to update the weather every hour and show a sun in the day and a moon at night but now even at 12 at night it still shows the sun. I have beautiful widgets currently, but it doesn't show the full screen animations like she likes (windshield wipers if it is raining, bright sunlight when sunny, etc.).
