Android :: Column TableLayout As Only Child Of Scroll View - TableLayout Width
Oct 30, 2010I have a two column TableLayout as the only child of a scroll view. The first column contains TextViews ('labels') and the second column contains EditText/Spinner/DateWidget etc ('values').
Even though I have have specified android:layout_width="fill_parent" for TableLayout, TableRow & all widgets (in 'values' column).
The screen looks perfect when the activity is created. However, when one types a really long value in the EditText, the 'values' column goes beyond the visible screen area.

At the moment the spinner will load a simple Textview and show the name of the item.It is possible to define an own view to show inside the spinner row? I would suspect it being similar to a custom List row.I simply want to show an individual icon left from the spinner text for each item in the list.

That custom view is placed three times in a LinearLayout, so it looks like this:

I have attached a click event listener to the View, so it is clickable. But then I click it, I cant see that I am clicking it - there is no change in color.
So, Im thought that I'd attach a "onPress" listener, and then change the background of the view but I couldnt find such a listener.
So, the question is - how do I create the behaviour on the View so I can see that it is being pressed? this is normally done in Android with a green background to indicate that it is now being pressed.

Actually, the doSomeLoading consists of a for loop counting to ten millions and doing nothing. Now it just waits for loop to be done and shows the second view.
I would really appreciate a solution without having to create a separate Thread, because it seems to be pointless, invalidate().

So, I have a text view and a button in a navigation bar(nav.xml) and a corresponding list view. This navigation bar is included in another page( products.xml)
when the button is clicked i get the list view right below the button(which is what i want to achieve) but its my moving all the contents on the current page downwards, even the text view which is placed in nav bar moved downwards.

Mar 18, 2010I'm trying to show a ScrollView with a button anchored to bottom of screen. This is coded programmatically (without using XML layout for now). The trouble is when the ScrollView has many items (requiring scrolling), it prevents the button at the bottom from showing. The bottom button is sort of pushed off the screen. Look at the code below. I have a TODO which mentions a workaround to specify the exact pixel height of the ScrollView, but this is not a good solution. If you change the for loop to add only 2 buttons, then the bottom button will show. But I was able to view SDCard folder when I used adb command from command prompt like below:

I am able to view list of folders when I typed ls in which I can see sdcard folder from the list of folders .my doubt how can we view the sdCard option in Eclipse using FileExplorer.Also I want I want to delete or insert some files in sdcard.How can this be possible for me.can anyone hel me in sorting out this issue.

Sometimes I get email notifications (using HTC Mail) and I open Mail and go to the new message, but all that shows up is a timestamp of "Wed, Dec 31, 1969 7:00 PM" with no subject, body, or even sender. It's like the email didn't download or I can't view it for some other reason.

Dec 5, 2009If I am going through my calendar day by day it shows me from about 8am to 5pm. If there's anything before 8am or after 5pm, I don't see it without scrolling. On my old Treo, it would get rid of some of the unallocated hours between 8am to 5pm to ensure other events fit on the screen. Anyway to do this within the Calendar? I'm using Agenda in the meantime but would really like to see just the day's events for whatever day I'm looking at.

May 25, 2010So I have the nexus 3D gallery app installed on my 2.1 Eris. It works fine other than it refuses to generate thumbnails sometimes. They just show up as grey boxes. Once it finally does generate the thumbnails, it's fine, but sometimes they just won't generate. For example, I took some pics this past Sunday and the thumbnails are still just showing up as grey boxes. It takes several cycles of closing gallery, opening gallery, closing, opening, etc. etc. to get it to finally generate all the thumbnails, then they're fine. Oh, and sometimes they don't show up at all. Seems this app is very buggy on the Eris.

Feb 16, 2009I think that there is possible bug in TableLayout SDK 1.0 rc2 when constructing table from code. It seams that the weight or height attribute is not respected when rendering the layout.
The XML view creates a table with row at the top and row at the bottom of the screen which is what supposed to happen, so I created this same table via code but the results are not what were expected. Maybe I am missing something but it seams OK, all LayoutParams are this same.

If anyone else can confirm this I will post this as a bug.
