Android :: View Page Source And What Is At Hide?

In browsers when I type view-source: before any address it gives me the page source. But i am not able to do it in android. It gives me "web page not available" . Can any one please tell me why it is giving that and any other way for me to view the page source in android?
One more doubt is what exactly is "@hide", even if I commented it( /** @hide */) it is having some meaning( it is not visible in another classes ). When I deleted it its working fine, it is visible. what is the reason?

I have a problem statement, and here it is: My requirement is: There are a number of images shown on the screen. I want to allow the user to drag and drop any of the images to anyother image. Based on which image is dragged and on which is it dropped, I need to do something specific. So, I need to find a way so that I can get my source view and my target view.To understand this in a better way, consider a practical scenario. In the File Explorer of Windows, we can drag and drop items from the left pane showing the directory tree to any of the folders shown in the right pane.If anyone of you ever faced a similar scenario, please let me know because I could not find a direct support to such a thing (Drag and Drop) in the platform, so may be I need to find an innovative solution to it.

I tried with threads, but android throws "CalledFromWrongThreadException: Only the original thread that created a view hierarchy can touch its views.".
So how can I wait 3 seconds and then hide the view, letting the GUI responsive?

When I do that, method convertView.setBackgroundColor(Color.RED) work great, what I need Image is there:

But when I want to remove that item, I can't do it. I add there convertView.setVisibility(View.GONE); , but have empty item, beside hide it. I read that parameter View.INVISIBLE won't hide layout, but View.GONE have, but in my code, doesn't.

For an Android application, I'm trying to use a Spinner which, when an option is selected, will hide/display relevant View objects. For my application, these objects are an EditText and an associated TextView label for the field. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get the EditText to hide/display, and when I add it code to hide/display the TextView, I get a NullPointerException. I presume that since I am laying out the view objects in a RelativeLayout, by hiding one of the view objects, I am removing its relationship with other view objects, hence the NullPointer.
Can anyone figure out why this might be happening? Here's my code...

When I had a view that's in my HorizontalScrollView it leaves a blank area because it's still being considered for layout purposes. Is there a way to have it not occupy space when I hide it?

How do I ensure that I get the 'resize' behavior when the IME is shown/hidden?
I've included the following in my manifest:
android:windowSoftInputMode="adjustResize"
What else am I supposed to add? I've read that the container that the View is placed in should 'support resize' but what layouts support this?

I'm just wondering if I'm able to create a View from an external XML source. As I was reading, you must place the XML layout inside the res/layout and when you compile it, you can load the layout by typing setContentView(R.layouts.my_layout). What if I have this XML layout online (on a website) and I want to create the layout on runtime? Is there any way to do this? Or I have to parse the XML and create the layout (hard-coded)?

Does anyone know of a way to get your 'All Apps' screen to be a fixed multi page view rather than a scrolling list. When it's a scrolling list, it's hard to find what you are looking for quickly, as you first have to work out where you are on the list, then scroll to the required area of the list and find the app (which is always on a different place on the screen as the list moves (ie sometimes it could be at the top, sometimes at the bottom, somtimes in the middle).
On a fixed multi page view, you only need to work out which page you're on, then the app you are looking for will be in a fixed place on it's page (i.e. always top right spot on page 2). I appreciate that this is not a huge time-saving issue, but it would be helpful for me, and sometimes those few extra seconds why trying to find the 'messaging' app can be a pain in the neck. I downloaded some nice wall papers so at the moment am trying out having very clean homescreens, hence using the 'all apps' a lot more.

I want to dynamically pull in a layout from an external source. As discussed in this thread from September 2009 -

I am wondering if the situation has changed since this discussion or if it is likely to change. I understand the need to use pre-compiled xml layouts so if there is an option to dynamically pull in a layout that is already compiled that would be fine. Basically I want a setup where I can change a view layout without an app update. The elements within the view would be fairly static (e.g. there will be 2 buttons call foo and bar that fire fooOnClick and barOnClick). The only work around I can think of is a custom scripting language that allows the definition of views that are created from code. Ideally this would parse the same xml as a standard layout. Obviously this would involve a lot of code and probably be fairly slow.

If this is the only option at least the EdsMagicLayoutInflater class would be reusable across projects.

If you look at the Android documentation about how to implement a List View and populate it you will notice that they only teach you how to do it in Java extending ListActivity instead of the normal Activity, but how would the same code (layout and populate the list) using XML layout files and extending Activity?
I'm asking this because I want to implement a RelativeLayout and add more elements to the screen where the ListView is with more flexibility than using .inflate() and addHeaderView()/addFooterView().

Am creating a small application In View Page am doing update and delete operation from database am displaying data s in the top (ex 10 records) and bottom i have 2 buttons Edit and delete if user clicks Edit button it redirects to Edit page In Edit page i am displaying content for editing also i have 2 buttons update and cancel if user click update again am redirecting(using start activity) to view page It is not displaying new records. i went back to main page and then i clicked view page now it is updated How to solve this ??? I have the tronsmart CX-919 mini pc running 4.2 and there is an issue with the browser reverting back to the home page or the previous page. When I try to display a webpage on our intranet it reverts back to the homepage or previous page after about 3 hours. I need it to display constantly. I read somewhere that it was a Download Manager issue and disabling it would work but I can't find where to disable it. Also it was stated that Flash was an issue but i tried uninstalling it and it just reinstalled itself and the problem kept occurring. I just want to display a page in a browser and for it to stay on the screen (full screen) until I manually navigate away from it. I plan to leave it on for weeks at a time.
