I want to know what are the most helpful and useful app for my huawei ascend especially one that well save my battery life or help my battery last longer or something similar.

No root..Firmware v. B104...New phone, got it in late December 2012. Handled with great care. Battery icon and battery graph stuck on 50%. Never know how much battery juice I've got left. No warnings, just powers off when it's empty.
Tried:
- Factory reset
- Attempted hard reset, but I'm not sure it worked, 'cause nothing special happened on my screen.
- Completely draining the battery (as an equivalent to removing the battery. Non-removable battery on this one)
I have been looking for firmware updates, but I can't find any for my B104, and if I have understood it correctly, applying an update for the B226 will most probably render my device useless.I am quite satisfied with this phone, it is magnificent, so I do not want to root it unless I absolutely have to. will roms made for the huawei ascend 2, work on the huawei sonic, as the phones look identical, and the specs are pretty much the same?
View 1 Replies View RelatedAs I just got my phone with installed rom 1.6 for the Behold 2, I am frustrating when the battery life drains so fast after last night. I was playing a bit with the WiFi and the battery status bar was still less then half bar. After I woke up today, the battery has shown that the battery is less than 5%. I did turn off my WiFi and using only 2g network to save battery life. I clicked on "why", it showed the Green Bar with the word Android System 95%. What does this mean and how can I save more battery life since I don't use it the whole night. So the phone suppose to be less than half bar battery life at least.
1.Putting the phone in sleep can save battery life or not on the Behold II?
2.What are some ways that can save the battery life on the Behold II?
3.Does the charging technique can at least save some part the of the battery life? If so , How do I charge my Behold II ? Leaving it all drain out, turning off the phone and then charge it ?

Remember, even though this shows no process it still has to compute how much/little light it sees and then apply it to the screen. Kicked the brightness down to the lowest and my battery usage went from 60% screen to about 25%, how it should be.

I was on a job site today and the phone rebooted 4 or more times within a 2 hour time period. It absolutely killed my battery too. I took my phone off the charger at 9am and by 12:30pm it was @ 15% or so. Luckily I had a spare battery in my pocket. I have since turned back on the "enable always on mobile data" and haven't had any issues since. Battery usage seems a little bit excessive still though. I have had a few smart phones so I know what to expect as far as battery usage.

Just wondering if underclocking my Incredible will save battery life during the day-I can't use my phone much at work-maybe when I go somewhere to pee or grab something to eat-that is about it. I wouldn't care about speed during the day..say if I underclock it to like 400 MHZ, would that save a lot of battery life? I would set it to normal once I was done with work.

And one of them is that there is no notification bar anymore. (the one you can slide down on homescreen, there is the bar wich u can slide down but no "bluetooth, wifi, gps etc")
I saw a video where you go to display settings and tick the notification bar or something like that , but there isnt such an option on his phone.
I'm pretty new to Android. I recently rooted my phone using Framaroot and it worked perfectly after reboot. Then I tried to install Sinhalese fonts using Sinhala Fonts Installer and after installing that, I uninstalled the app before restarting. Then I restarted the phone and it get stuck at the Huawei Logo and will not boot into launcher.
I tried to hard reset by going to recovery mode using Power + (vol up + vol down). (Fortunately I can go into the recovery mode.) Even if I factory reset the phone, the same situation is there. And some articles said to log in to fast boot mode by Power + Vol down, but it doesn't work and just boots into that Huawei logo.
As I read, to install a custom ROM, ClockWork Recovery has to be used, but I can't do it since I can't log into my phone.
Is there any way I can make my phone alive? Or at least, is there any way that I can install ClockWork Recovery without booting into my phone, just using my SD card?

I cannot download anything on any browser, it will only result in an error saying I do not have enough space. When I mount the SD card, there are no files visible on my PC, and I have tried formatting it, but unmounting it will only have the phone return it from it's 944mb of free space after I formatted to 875mb of free space with 4 files- busyboxstericon, ComFile.dat, crash.txt, and toolbox-stericson. These files return no matter what I do. Moving files from the PC to sd card will only be wiped when I unmount it. Any solution, or is it beyond redemption? I've also tried some solutions like the SDformatter program, and windows chkdsk, but they have not worked. I also factory reset my phone out of desperation, but no.

So far happy with it but there are a few things I want to do- and reading up on it has more Tbab confused me. Firstly I want to remove the bloatware it came with but it seems this can't be done without 'root'. I understand that this basically allows me more permissions with the system? Secondly I am wondering about these ROMs. What do they do? Lastly, the play store seems to like telling me there is no space left for the application, but it installing to a 4gb SD card? An application I saw called MarketFix claims to fix it but needs root.

I own a huawei ascend p1, i had the official rom and backed up my app data using the stock huawei app "allbackup" before i flashed a custom rom. now, allbackup does not work in a custom rom and it uses .db files to backup the app data, is there another way to restore these .db files? or an app capable of doing so?
