Android :: Process Framework Unknown Error?

Jun 14, 2010

Did anybody encounter the RuntimeException with the message "Unknown error"?

Jelly Bean :: Unknown Android OS / Service Process Battery Drain?

Sep 16, 2013

What is weird to me is that on the closeup line graph the second half plummets much faster than the first half. But at the same time, the second half doesn't nearly have as many wakelocks (as indicated by the "Awake" bar being basically completely empty during that time.

What the mobile network colours represent but I never had this problem previously with it on all the time so this shouldn't be an issue. GPS is always on. Again, this was never an issue until supposedly now so this also shouldn't be an issue.

Now, the four big drainers are Cell Standby, Android System, Google Services, and Android OS. Cell Standby I know is due to a missplaced decimal point in the framework, so I know that's just false battery recording. Android System I don't have a clue what the problem is, I read somewhere it might have to deal with wakelocks. But it won't tell me what process exactly is causing battery drain. Google Services are well, google services. I don't know what are classified as google services exactly (like this was never a problem before..), and finally Android OS. Again, the battery statistics thing isn't nearly specific enough.

Android :: Unknown Error On Pause()

Dec 15, 2009

I get the following error

CODE:...

When trying to execute this code in a service:

CODE:..........

When the service is first called and no MediaPlayer-object exists, the stream is started correctly. But when the onStart()-method is called again (with the player streaming) I get the above error code. I can't find any information about this error code, so I turn to you for help. Replacing mp.pause() with mp.stop() makes it work. Could it be that the stream does not support pausing? It's an online radio stream (RTSP) in the SDP format.

Not sure what is going on. Running Windows Vista x64. Not had really any problems with eclipse. I had to upgrade to 1.5 and when I did that I got all kinds of install errors. So I said 'f-it'. HTC Hero :: ROM Upgrade - 155 Unknown Error

Aug 1, 2010

I have an Orange branded Hero and just tried to upgrade from build 2.73.61.5 (Firmware 1.5) to ROM Version:2.73.61.66 as I believe this is necessary in order to get the latest version of Android (2.1). Right at the start of the upgrade process I get an error message saying

Error [155] unknown error. The ROM Update Utility cannot update your Android phone. Please get the correct ROM Update Utility and try again. I rang Orange and they couldn't help. I managed to speak to someone who understood the information I was telling him but he was not able to help other than do a Google search whilst I was on the phone to him. The suggestion was that the internal phone storage is insufficient to handle the 103MB image size of the upgrade file. I have now deleted all my apps (after backing them up) and have 123MB internal phone storage available space which should easily be enough but I'm still getting the error.

Android :: Marketplace Error - Server Could Not Process Your Apk - Try Again

Feb 16, 2010

I have an updated apk - tested successfully on various devices and simulator instances - with the following manifest:

CODE:..............

When I post to Android Marketplace as an upgrade to my existing 1.0 app, I get the aforementioned ambiguous message: "The server could not process your apk. Try again."

I just tried to upload the same file again. Now I get a new message:

The new apk's versionCode (2) in AndroidManifest.xml must be higher than the old apk's versionCode (2). The server could not process your apk. Try again.

So Marketplace did get my upgraded apk after all? (The very first accepted apk's versionCode was 1, so this update was of course bumped to 2.) Confused ...

Bumping it up to 3 and trying again. Surprise surprise, I get the original "could not process" error all over again. Going in circles.

If I exit and re-enter the Marketplace page, now it shows that the app has been uploaded! Except there's no app icon. Curiouser and curiouser ... and this is all happening with a cache-cleared (standards-friendly) browser to boot.

Motorola Droid :: Failed Flashing Process Error In RSD Lite.

Aug 9, 2010

I'm un-rooting my phone using OMJ's guide in the everything root related guide, and I'm getting a "Failed Flashing Process" error in RSD Lite.

I am running as admin, I have the correct drivers (I recently rooted...), I have the sbf in C: .... yet it fails.

The error says " Failed Flashing Process. Failed Flashing Process. Interface BP: Error flashing subscriber unit. Device API Error: 0xE0030009 Command: ADDR (0xE0231009); phone connected"

I am going to try flashing SPRecovery to see if I can at least get to a working point.

SPRecovery worked. It boots into 2.1 and has SPRecovery as the recovery. I still want to get it to stock, so I am going to try and download the stock sbf again (it doesn't have a checksum so I have no way of knowing if it is good or not...) .... here goes nothing!

Samsung Captivate :: Lag Fix Not Working - Error Message - Stop The Process

Aug 21, 2010

Okay -- so I finally mustered up the courage to root and try a lag fix. I rooted using the unleash the beast files. And then tried the lag fix over at XDA found here: xda-developers - View Single Post - [UTIL] One Click Lag Fix 2.0

I ran the lagfix_ext2, like the forum says -- it took about 10 minutes to do some things ...There was an error message in the middle saying that it had to stop the process. I said okay, but the process kept working, finished, and then rebooted. It booted up, and I downloaded quadrant again (it was gone for some reason), ran it, and only ran an 895 -- this is 16 points less than what i ran just using the unleash the beast. Should I try the lag fix again?
