When one person debugging android application on a PC, emulator-5554 <===> DDMS A <===> Eclipse A can communicate well. When the second person want to debug application on another emulator on the same PC emulator-5556 <===> DDMS B <====> Eclipse B. The DDMS B can't communicate to emulator-5556 rightly. Seems emulator-5554 and emulator-5556 both controlled by DDMS A. How to resolve this problem?

I'm trying to make a screenshot of an Archos 5 IT using DDMS (SDK 1.5 and 2.0) without success. The screenshot is awful with a lot of yellow. Do you have the same issue ? I would like to know if possible if this issue is due ti an SDK problem or an Archos problem.

So i change the following settings in the emulator (because i read in an other thread, that only the english locale work) to:
Custom locale: en - English Settings -> Date and time: Automatic: off, Select time: GMT+01:00, British Summer Time, Use 24-hours: on, Select date: 2009-12-31
If i send one value (lat/lon), the emulator receive 0.0 0.0 and after that, the emulator receive no data. I test it with german locate, too. But the same error occur. What setting is wrong?

I'm connected to the device and some commands works (window scale,...)If i try to simulate a gsm call then everything seems ok but i haven't anything on my emulator (nor incoming call nor notification) then if i launch an "gsm list" command my inbound call is listed and i can cancel it the same thing occurs with sms send everything seems ok (return OK) but there is no notification on the emulator nor sms in inbox :-(

Important : it has worked so i know it can work, but i would like to know why it doesn't work now ! Using ddms i don't see any trace on the log view.
I tried installing the Android USB driver on my x64 machine and it fails. Does Android development not support 64 bit Windows, or am I possibly doing something wrong?

When above two APNs both exists, only browser can work. MMS doesn't work any more.
Does any google export know that how to config G1 to make both browser and MMS work? If it's a known issue, is there any roadmap to fix it?

But if i scroll the ListView, my Selection is gone or it does not show correctly. For example, i choose the RadioButton A in the first row, if i scroll through the ListView and then go back to the first row again, either none of the RadioButtons in the RadioGroup is checked or RadioButton C is checked instead of A.How can i fix this Problem? I want to store the user input (the text in the EditText) to the Arrray. E.g, if i type some text in the EditText in the first row of the ListView, i want the text to be stored in Array[0]. But how can i detect to which row the EditText belongs to? I can detect the possition of the row if the row contains a RadioGroup, but not a EditText. When I remove this line of code from the startup it starts with out error... db = SQLiteDatabase.openOrCreateDatabase(data, cf); data is a file that has been made, I have tried multiple locations none worked. cf is a cursor factory. This worked perfectly before version 1.0 and also when put in a try/catch statement still errors out. It is the process has stopped unexpectedly error. Any thoughts as to what permissions I could give the app to make this work? Am I heading in the wrong direction?

After downloading it and installing I was able to double tap my home button and Launcher Pro then replaced Blur but I could never find the screen to change any of the options for Launcher Pro.I then read that Home Switcher needed to be installed and was about to download it when the first line of text for Home Switcher in the Market is that it's not supported for Froyo 2.2.Does anyone know of another program that I can use in order to get Launcher Pro to work correctly on my D2 and also be able to view the programs options/settings page?

to clarify, I'd like to be able to connect my evo to the computer using the usb cable and have it show my computer's desktop as a second or third monitor. (I already have 2, but would like a 3rd for playing movies or something).
I have set up the Google Voice App to link to my Google voice account and I select the "ask to use google voice for each call" and the "always use google voice" options and neither work. There is no way to place calls within the app, and when I use the phone app nothing happens. I have no idea what to do. Figured out you can only do that using your contacts. Seems pretty limited, even the generic iphone app could dial direct. Oh well, maybe they will update in the future.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have heard many many many references to 'fastboot' it's obvious it's on the phone, but every time I look at a rooting or firmware update guide, it seems to imply that it's part of the android sdk. 'just go into the tools folder then run fastboot command filename.ext'But fastboot.exe, fastboot.com, fastboot.bat, fastboot.msi. any thing that would cause a command called 'fastboot' to run out of that folder does not exist in the android sdk.So where is fastboot coming from on the pc side of things. where specifically is this component or program gained? should it be in the sdk? I've installed every release of it, it's not in any of them.This lack of 'fastboot' on the pc side of things is the only thing that's stopping me at this point.Where is this fabled, and seemingly non existent fastboot application?
