Android :: List Of Droid Phones Which Supports Tvout On 3.5mm Jack?
May 24, 2010
Is there any Android phone with Tvout? can someone give me the list. I know HTC incredible supports Tvout on USB port for which we need to buy USB to composite adaptor. Is there any Android phones which supports tvout on 3.5mm Jack.

I was wondering if the droid supports tv-out from the audio jack? I'm not sure if Android 2.0 supports tv-out. I know the iPhone added tv-out later on with an update, so I was wondering the same with the droid.

I listen to music or podcasts all day long at work. When I get a call, I pull out the headphones and answer the call. From time to time, I will not get any audio through the phones normal speaker. It will work if I plug back in the headphones or if I go to speaker phone. The only way I have found that will clear up this issue, is to pull the battery and reboot. It is like my phone is getting stuck into thinking the headphones are still in.

I can't find a website where I can get a list of all Android GSM phones. I'm on TMobile, so I need a GSM phone for my sim. I'd like to get an Android phone, but would to consolidate the list right off the bat to phones that I can actually use. Anybody know where to go?

Ok it seems to me that most of android phones came without tethering (officially, I'm not speaking about rooted phone due to possibile warranty issues).
I know that there is pdanet that add this support but 29$ is damn expensive, and it looks like a win/mac only (I'm a linux user).
All my phones had tethering capability (and i have a tethering allowed dataplan) cause I do need tethering is some circumstances, and I don't think that I am the only one!
Is there a list of all tethering enabled android phones?
If not i could be usefull to have some kind of wiki style list of tethering enabled phones.

With Qik? I started a video and saved it. I then saw you have to register the phone #, but the evo is not in the list of phones for HTC.

I am creating a widget that you can assign a contact to onClick. I used the method that is described here. This works great on standard Android phones such as the Motorola Droid, HTC Nexus One and HTC G1. The problem is for users who are using devices such as the HTC Incredible or HTC Droid Eris (Both running Sense UI) and I imagine on other phones who's OS deviates from the vanilla flavor of Android.Using my current method I thought that the device's OS would hook into whatever that manufacture chose to use for their Contact system however users are being sent to a random list of numbers, not their Contact list. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to get those Contacts or is this just another example of the Android fragmentation issue?

Is it possible to play continuous audio stream (MP3 / AAC) in Android browser using <audio /> tag?
If you're not sure, could you at least recommend some good testing page containing and using <audio /> tag?

I have a D1 and today i plugged in my Droid to my Aux-in in my car today, and attempted to play pandora. It sounded awful and even started to cut in and out going from my car speakers to the phone speaker.

Not sure if its a LP Plus feature or not, because I ended up buying it, but you can resize widgets now. And you're not limited to resizing MOTO widgets either. You can resize pretty much anything from what I can tell. Not always the best results when doing so, but some actually work fairly well.

But really? Whole battery in under 12 hours from just merely having the 3.5mm jack plugged in?

Saw that hilarious infomercial for the Jupiter Jack (hands free talkies while you drive! oh hai!) and got to wondering if I could use it to listen to Pandora or mp3's on my Eris in the car. Seems pretty hit and miss (one reviewer said it didn't work for his Droid, not sure if he meant the Moto or the HTC Eris) and was curious to know if anyone in this rogue's gallery has tried this out, or any other wireless transmitter for music playback? Not concerned with the "handsfree phone in car" part since I use a bluetooth when I drive.

just wondering if anyone has tried getting video output with a 3.5mm to RCA cable. wonder if it may be less restrictive than the HDMI hookup... but I'm getting ahead of myself: I'm not even sure if it works at all. Anyone wanna give it a shot? TBH it probably won't work, but we may as well give it a shot right?

I really like my Eris but the volume level is really bothering me. I can plug my IPod touch (with volume about 90%) into my car using the headphone jack and setting my car volume to a little less than half way is plenty loud. Playing the same audio tracks through the headphone jack of my Eris plugged in the exact same way with the volume cranked all the way up and I have to literally turn the stereo volume to the max to get the same level.

Anyone else having a problem with a crackly intermittent headphone jack?
Mine has progressively gotten worse over the last month or so, to the point where the slightest movement causes crackling and sometimes intermittent loss of the sound. This is in no way related to the "left speaker pop at max volume" issue that has been previously reported. This is a purely mechanical issue, and having seen the teardown pics on the web, I think its due to the fact the headphone socket isn't actually soldered to the board, but uses 5 contacts and contact pads to make the connection. I wonder if this might be a weak spot in the design..I'm going to take the droid back this weekend to Verizon, any Idea's what my options are regarding a replacement, its after 30 days, but the motoroloa warranty should cover me for a year, right?

Has anyone seen an explanation as to why the milestone supports multi-touch, and the droid does not? I'm really hoping that at some point they are going to issue a software patch that will activate it.

I plugged my Moto Droid into my truck today and used it for navagation. Sounded great. Later after I unplugged it and tried to make a call on the phone there was no audio coming from the phone. I had to reboot the phone to get it back. I think I read somthing about this someplace. I kinda remember something about the switch sticking in the audio jack. I've only used this jack twice now and the phone is only a month or so old. Is this a known issue?

1) What, if any, is the BEST ROM based on these criteria
a) STABLE
b) supports all features of a NON rooted Droid phone properly - can be v2.0.1 for all I care, I would just re-run this same list at a later date for a custom ROM running the official 2.1 or later equivalent I suppose.
c) while accomplishing all other criteria listed, still allows for overclocking by the USER - i don't mind using another app to do this - allows tethering and other applications which would typically require ROOT access
d) Accomplishes or at least allows for VOLTAGE and/or PROFILE adjustments to help fine tune battery life while balancing performance - again, doesn't really matter to me if I end up having to pay for an app to addon to accomplish this................

Can anyone please comment on the audio quality through the 3.5mm headphone jack on the Droid? I will be using Skullcandy Titans which are in-ear earphones with noise isolation. I am hoping it is at least as good as that through my iPod nano 4th gen. I know that isn't an amazing benchmark but I'll be satisfied if it sounds at least that good with high-quality audio stored on the SD card. Speaking of SD card, do they still pack in the 16GB MicroSD card with Droids these days?
