Being a bit aged and new to all this android techy stuff I get easily confused. After reading on this forum about Pro Launcher and how a lot of people were raving about it I decided to install it. Now I can't work it! I need instructions. I know there ARE some on this forum somewhere, but can I find them? Can I heck!

when I click on launcher it does not show displayed activity log for launcher, it shows it way before during boot up stage. why is this happening?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI need to run six animations simultaneously (each animation simulates a roll of dice, each dice is a custom text view) and at the end of those animations, I need to get back the number of each roll. As each animation changes the number of each dice five times (to simulate the roll), I want to wait that each animation has ended to calculate the sum of each roll. I tried to regroup in one the six animations (so that with an animation listener, I would have been able to wait the end of the animation) but I didn't manage it.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am using the excellent Record It utility to allow me to send record instructions to my Sky+ box. All was well until the last update, where version 3.6.0 was corrupted in the Android Market. I have spoken to the developer by email and the problem has been fixed now. However, whenever I try to download now, the download fails, and Market FC's when I cancel the download. I have managed to find an old version I had backed up, but I am now stuck at v2.7.3. Can someone post the apk for version 2.8.0 please? I have asked the developer, but he did not reply. This is a paid app, and is linked to the phone ID, so I am not trying to install without paying.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've been using LP for about a week (it's great BTW!) and this just started to happen so it could have something to do with the latest update. I've set LP at the default launcher and everything works great. However, if I ever long press the "home" button, go to an application, then press "home" again I get the popup asking me which launcher I want to use. I check the "set as default" box then select LP and everything is good again. It all works until I long press home the next time, then the remembered default is gone and I get the prompt again. I've tried rebooting, clearing defaults, etc.

In the documentation page for the sample, it mentions that "[onPerformSync]...gets called whenever the sync manager issues a sync operation for that sync adapter." Who is this 'sync manager', and at what intervals will it instruct the sync adapter to onPerformSync()?
I just updated my launcher pro beta.. it is now version 18..according to settings applications.so now when i press home it just goes to my original launcher and doesn't even prompt me as to what i want my default to be.i have a milestone and i'm rooted! but help. i hate the stock launcher!

"After you have finished recording your message..." bla bla bla.
I had it turned off on AT&T so my callers would hear ME tell them i wasn't available, and then a beep. No canned instructions.
I found seemingly outdated instructions for Sprint that dont work (at least on the EVO).
Anyone know where its hidden at on the newer voicemail system?
It's been awhile since I've done an update. I'm on Ult Droid 9.0.0. I noticed that there are no ROM Manager instructions for 9.8.0 but that states you have to do a wipe and clear cache prior to installing the update. Do you still do all this through the ROM manager? Or is there another way to install this that is "better"?

1. On your phone go to Settings > Applications > Development > and enable USB debugging.
2. Go to unrevoked.com on your HTC EVO web browser and download it and install it.
3. Run the Revoked program and click on Start. You should get a message that says, "successfully rooted"
4. Go to http://bit.ly/c2oonC and download and install the wireless_tether_2_0_2.apk with your HTC EVO web browser.
5. Run Wireless WiFi Tether (When a box pops up, click on ALLOW)
Notes:
- When you restart the phone, you have to root it again to run Wireless tether.
- Sprint will not bill you anything extra, don't worry. Droid, NexusOne users have been doing this for a while with no issues.
- You do not need to have the "$29.95" tethering plan with Sprint.
- WiFi signal is not strong, so your device had to be near by.
- WiFi tethering uses up alot of battery life. About 1% per minute or two (thats constant connection loading webpage/video streaming). WiFi tethering also worked with my iPad.
I have an HTC Desire, just upgraded to 2.2 (seems a bit slower) and I would like to have the navigation instructions routed through bluetooth to come through the car stereo speakers. Now I know this can be done with A2DP but I was wondering if it can be made to work over HFP?
Over A2DP it works but it means you cannot listen to any of the in-car sources like CD or radio as you have to have it permanently switched to bluetooth audio to hear the instructions. If it was over HFP, the car stereo would mute whatever source you were listening to so it could play the navigation instruction. Is there a way to make this work, or an app to download?
Wondering if I have to root the CDMA Desire different from the GSM instructions? also, there are no stable CDMA roms yet I know, but does anyone think there will be soon?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an application which is playing audio.I have some customers that use this application while driving and who also use the Google Maps application to get directions to the places where they are driving.They have asked me to change my application to pause my audio while the Google Maps application is giving them audio navigation instructions. I am trying to find out if I can register a Broadcast Receiver to let me know when the Google Maps application is giving audio navigation instructions, or if there is a way to detect when any other application has started or stopped playing audio.It seems that this type of functionality would be beneficial for Google Maps and for any type of application which is playing media, so I am hoping that Google Maps is broadcasting events when it starts and stops giving audio navigation instructions, or that there is a generic way to discover when overlapping audio sources are trying to play.

As most of you know that after downloading it, pressing the home button gives you the option of which home screen launcher that you want to..well.. launch..either HTC Sense or Launcher Pro. Well this morning I picked Launcher Pro, but accidently clicked the "don't ask me this again" box before that, so now I'm stuck on Launcher Pro and can't get back to my, or any, HTC Sense launcher. I've gone all through my settings and can't figure it out. I'd like to either get back to my old HTC Sense home screen, get to the DEFAULT HTC Sense homescreen, or get back to being able to have the option to pick which one I want to launch.

I used ADW for a while, but when I am on ADW my notification bar get vanished. I dk how..so i switched to launcher pro. I had a random shut down once, so now I am thinking it because of Launcher pro.

Can anyone point me to a link for instructions on installing it from stock release day rom to newest Fresh version. I also updated with the OTA when it was pushed to my phone earlier if that matters.
