is there a widget that i can get that will give me a box that informs me of who called, texts, and mail? basically anything that came to my phone while i was away?
i really miss clicking on my message center on my blackberry but i'm assuming the DX has to have something similar if nor better.

I miss a lot of the notifications when my phone is set to vibrate (yes, vibration mode is necessary while I'm in class). My BlackBerry gave me the option to have short, medium, long vibrates, and how many.
View 19 Replies View Relatedso i got my new Nexus 5, set it all up.find that the stock calendar app is still hit or miss as to whether it decides to show items in the calendar.i had my old nexus 4 sitting next to it and the nexus 5 wasn't showing an item that the nexus 4 was (this item was also showing on the web version of the calendar).i then scroll thru and the nexus 5 shows an item that the nexus 4 doesn't.
this really makes the calendar app un-usable, as you are never sure if it's 100% accurate or not!
one example of a missing item is from a holidays calendar that i added via the google calendars list.now it isn't EVERY item from that calendar that is missing, it's the odd one or two.
another instance of missing items is from the birthdays calendar, again some as above, some show some don't.
so it this something that i just need to live with (ie do others see this?)or is there some fix? this is a brand new nexus 5 with a fresh setup.
I missed a call from my husband this morning and he said that he immediately received a text from me saying i was busy and would call him later. Well, I had not sent the message and yet there it is. Have looked and looked for a feature that may be causing that. I use Handscent. Any helpful info? I have had this phone 4 months and this has never happened.

I'm having some serious issues with Visual Voicemail on my Droid. I get calls, miss them and people leave me VMs. I can see that I have them, I know what numbers they're coming from, but I can't listen to them. They won't download from the server. I thought I was out of space or something, so I deleted all of my stored VMs, but they still won't download. What is going on??? It's really becoming frustrating because some of these could have been critical VMs that I need to listen to.

I have looked in the "market" on the phone and a number of programs purport to play some form of "streaming audio", but they all seem to connect to someone's server that has a playlist of songs that someone else likes. Does anyone know of, or have the sense that someone will actually develop an app that allows one to put in a url such as the one above, and actually be able to listen to the radio station as you would on a radio or on a PC?
I've been having a problem with my desire home screen (in particular the sms icon) and I'm wondering if anyone else knows how to fix it.
Recently my messages icon has been showing the little "1" in a green circle indicating I have an unread message. Problem is, I've gone through every list of messages I have on the device and there are no messages I haven't read and the "1" stays there. The only ways I've found to get rid of it are to either delete the icon and then put it back or to use Advance Task Killer and kill messages application. I'm not using any fancy apps for messages, just the default one.
My email counter is always perfect, this only seems to affect my sms. Also, my girlfriend told me she sent me a message a few days ago, but I never received it. Not sure if that's a happy coincidence, or if the phone got the message, is telling me I haven't read it, but isn't displaying it for me to see. All the other messages from her are plainly visible.

Let me come to actual point: in application, i am having an imageview for displaying image (Image resolution is 320*480), now imageview is displaying image in full-screen perfectly, but when i am trying to test it on HTC EVO 4G (having resolution 480*800), image gets stretch.
So, what i like to do is want to display 320*480 resolution image in all screen-resolution mobile ? i means to say,if the mobile is of higher resolution(i.e. 480*800 , 480*854, or else) than the image should be displayed in "Center" portion of the screen.
So displaying image in Center in all screen (without stretching or cutting) resolution other than 320*480, what attributes i have to set ?
The following code incorrectly (in my view) places the text left- justified, and the button is in the center, horizontally. Why is this?
