Android :: How To Automatically Resize An EditText Widget With Some Attributes In TableLayout
Apr 28, 2010I have a layout issue. What I do is this:

Class "NoteElement" extends TableRow. The 1st row just consists of a blank ImageView as a placeholder and an EditText to enter text. NoteElement's constructor looks like this:

Method addTextField() specifies the attributes for the EditText widget:

So far, so good. But my problem occurs as soon as the available space for the chars is depleted. The EditText does not resize itself but switches to a single line EditText.
I am desperatly looking for a way in which the EditText resizes itself in its height dynamically, being dependant on the inserted text length.
General :: Possible To Resize Circles Widget?
Mar 28, 2013Ive had my Droid Razr M for less than a week and I love it. I really like the Circles widget, but I want to make it smaller, is it possible to resize it? I dont see a way to get into an options menu for it.

Sep 9, 2010I long press on my homescreen widget, the resize "handle" appears, I resize the widget, I can do absolutely nothing else. Stuck in resizing hell. Have to re-boot to stop the insane amount of resizing going on.
After re-boot the f'n widget is back to the same undesirable old size.

May 22, 2009when I'm using a Datepicker on a LinearLayout and I set a date by finger, if I go to landscape mode the widget lost the date that I have previously set and set the actual date. It's a bug or I'm wrong something?

May 27, 2010After buying my lovely HTC Desire two weeks ago I'm now trying to start using my phone as an organizer/agenda.
Unfortunatly I really have sucky memory (hence I need to use the agenda from my phone) and thus I actually have NO idea what date it is today and everytime I goto the add event dialog I forget to look at the calendar what day it curently is (let alone tomorrow!).
Since the default app only has those anoying slider/slotbars to pick the date for an event... I keep placing events on the wrong date! :@
I've been trying to find a replacement app but the only two I've found so far (Jorte and Gemini) have the same anoying dialog to add an event!
All the other 'apps' I find when looking for android calendar apps are widget-only!!
Anyone knows a way to get a datepicker or something like that into the calendar app or a different app?
Maybe at least display the name of the day when creating a new event?

Jul 8, 2010What is the best approach when using default Android drawables? Should I use android.R.drawable or should I copy the drawables in my project and use R.drawable?
Is there any risk, that in a newer version of Android, some of the default drawables are removed or resized? Or, affect in some negative way, the look of my app? Also, which of the drawables in the Android source code are considered "stable" and should be relied on?
I'd rather not copy the drawables because I think that the look of the app should be consistent with the Android version used. So, for example, for version 1.6 it should use the default Android bitmaps for version 1.6.

Motorola Droid X : Wallpaper Resize App
Jul 27, 2010It is so strange.when I take a photo in portrait format on my X it looks perfect, fills the screen and is nice and sharp.The problem is when i go ahead and set that photo as my wallpaper.At that point it pulls up this box that forces me to crop it down and this just kills the quality.things look much more blurry and less sharp.What can I do to have the wallpaper look just like the photo after I snap it?
