I finally was able to build and debug the android platform with this tutorial. I imported my project in eclipse, and afterwards installed ADT. Then I converted my imported project to android project (Android Tools -> Convert To Android Project). And now I'm having Failed to load properties file for project 'droid-platform' error. Session data: Code... Does anyone know, how do I deal with this?

I have an application which we are writing to be both a MIDP application using LWUIT as well as an Android application.
We attempt to share as much common code as possible between the two platforms.
I'd also really like to be able to share the localization strings when possible.
Reading through the docs in:
http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/resources/resources-i18n.html
It looks like Android uses an XML format to specify name-value pairs, e.g.:
{{{ <string name="go_online_message">You are currently offline. Go online? This will use the data network</string> }}}

Anyone else having issues with the epic extracting zip files? Whenever I download a zip file it always tells me the archive is corrupted...doesn't matter what app I use to view it...tried using Astro and a free zip viewer app but the archives are incomplete...and when I try to send it to my pc to open it I get the same problem.
Guessing the browser is downloading zip files incorrectly?

I have been at this for hours, but to no avail. I have been trying to root my GS2 with CF Root, but I can not get the tar file, instead, I see a zImage file. I am not extracting the tar to get the zImage. The zImage is what is there originally. I have tried multiple sources of CF Root, but get the same problem.
Edit: Figured it out, nvm

In my Android app I need to extract data from a xml file (the file will have less than 2000 lines). I have no experience with XML parsing, so I don't know what the best approach is. DOM parser is perhaps not a good option, because I am on a mobile device. On the other hand with SAX I would probably end with more complicated code. What would you recommend?

I am having some difficulties with customizing my rk2918 based tablet. I managed to download the original firmware and it is in .img format. Now I have managed to take apart the single .img file into multiple .img files, customized and rooted it with dsixda's kitchen and rebuild the ROM. Now my question is, can I somehow convert the zipped package back into the multiple .img files, or even into the single .img file so I can flash it with RKupdate or RKbatchtool? How to extract image files......

Seems that for some reason I cant put the 2.2 OTA on my X...It comes back with an error that mentions the build.prop when doing the Checking Version step...
Verifying current system
assert failed: apply_patch_check("/system/build.prop","76f714f20045407075a08d1f8634dbadf6891 66c5","448243fe4bdffdd0818e81286821889880d37752")
E:Error in /cache/Blur_Version.1.13.604.MB810.Verizon.en.US.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
So I'm guessing that the changes I made in the build.prop file are stopping the update...I put the original back, but notice the file date is different (Yestedays date) than what the original should be...
Wondering if I can extract the original build.prop file from the SBF and put that down without doing the whole reflash...
If not, anyone have a stock 2.1 build.prop file they can Email me so I dont have to SBF and loose everything I have setup now?
