I dont know if there is anything out there, I have got groups set up containing up to 20 people but when I try to forward a message it says that I can only send to 10 maximum. Is there any way around this?

Has anyone figured out how to do this? When I hold my finger on a text and choose forward, I only get the box where I have to type in each contact individually. Is there a way to show a list of my contacts when forwarding or at least a way to forward to a group? I have groups set up, but there doesnt seem to be a way to access them when forwarding. I have tried every option and every menu and cant find out how to do this on the Epic?

View 2 Replies View Relatedi had this set up before i wiped my desire now trying to get it back but when entering my details in (correctly of course), when it tries to connect i get a "couldnt connect to server" error and cant get it set up again also ive read about how people are forwarding emails to gmail to get instant notification, but doesnt that mean if i reply to said email, it will appear as if it came from the gmail address? (or is there a way around that?)

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am looking for a way to send certain callers to another number- not my Tmobile voicemail (I'm using an ADP1/Dream) I'm hoping to change jobs soon, and I don't want all the folks that call me at my current job bombarding me with questions at the new one. I want to be able to set up my phone so that pre-selected calls get forwarded to my current office, instead of my Tmobile voicemail. The only option I can find on my phone is to forward a specific caller to my Tmobile voicemail. (This is my personal phone, that I've given my number out to business contacts over the years)

I have a PAYG SIM Card in my car which I use for handsfree and travelling a lot, get really frustrated with having to go through the phone menus to set up call forwarding to the PAYG number everytime I get in my car. I am develop an application to communicate with a desktop application over USB. The desktop application listens for connections on a particular port.
The documentation of adb states that: $ adb forward tcp:port1 tcp:port2 # forwards the local port port1 on the machine to port2 on the device.
I have found a problem and no solution on line ... so I wanted to run it past you all. I have SBS2003 R2 Premium. We have several smartphones ... android based with email through our Exchange 2003 server using activesync. THE PROBLEM: When users attempt to forward an email to another domain users mailbox ... the email is never received. It shows in the outbox in both the phone and Exchange outbox (sent items). If I forward the email from me to me, the email is successful. Also, if an email is sent directly to a domain user, the email is received (no forwarding) without any problem. All other aspects of activesync appear to work fine. Still have not found an Iphone to test against.

Now theres some interesting groupchat apps out there. I was looking into using BrightKite... My classmates use it during boring lectures in gradschool. But the problem with BrightKite is that Empty (that is his nickname) does not have free texting to any carrier but verizon, and BrightKite's groupchat # is not verizon. I am in a similar situation, but since I have an android phone I can access the groupchat via that and I don't need to use up my texts.............
I just published my first application to the market, but I just found out that android.telephony.gsm.smsmanager was depreciated as of Android 1.6. My application depends on sending SMS messages, so it cannot not work in 1.6 or newer. I built the project against 1.5, but I only have a device with 1.5 to test on. Since I built on 1.5, am I fine in terms of newer OSes, or will users get force closes? Is there a way to send/receive SMS messages in the emulator?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been using my Droid for about a week now and would like some suggestions or help with three frustrations I have with the default Gmail app in 2.0:
1. The Reply/Forward buttons are all the way at the bottom of the message - which is very frustrating when you're trying to respond to a long email thread that has a billion embedded replies. How are you dealing with that, other than scrolling all the way to the bottom? Shouldn't reply/forward buttons be available on-screen at all times? (The hardware option button doesn't present "reply" or "forward" among the popup choices, either).
2. When I forward mail with attachments, I can't predict whether the attachments will forward or not. So far, it seems like they don't go through more often than not. Is there a setting somewhere I need to throw to make attachments work reliably?
I used PhoneAlarm to do my call forwarding when I was on the "other" platform. It dialed my call forwarding number based on time of day. I know Locale has the capability but there is no plugin to do it. Does ANYONE have an App or know how I can call forward based on location or time of day or to at least call any number based on this criteria? I do not, or I should say, cannot use Google Voice since I have no account and they are not taking any more users.

I'd sort of like to replicate the HTML optgroup/option setup where you have a parent group then child groups. Is there a way to do this built in or would I have to do something tricky with a custom view for Parent elements then switch the view back to the child element style.

I have the hardest time following a thread I'm participating in because I can simply not find it back when I look for it, even using the search engine at the top ! I'm not receiving email alerts to warn me when somenone answers in it. In my profile tab, there is a summary of my last messages ... Which lags by 2 weeks !! Sometimes message I sent never appear there at all. I'm subscribed to a "Gay Pictures" group I'm pretty sure I never applied to.

View 1 Replies View RelatedNew to android and really like it. However, seems like the maintenance of contacts is a common source of confusion. I have contacts from my Gmail displayed. I have a created a group of contacts that I have been able to add contacts to. However, not all contacts are available to be added to this group.
Under the general contacts page, all the contacts are there (including many imported from gmail that I don't care for since every email that has ever been used seems to be saved). When I go to edit the group and add a contact, not all the contacts are displayed as available to add. I have gone into my gmail contact list and made sure that the contact I want to add is listed under the "my contacts" heading.
I use google groups alot to keep in touch with my stock market contacts. is there a frontend for google groups?

I wanted to send this to more friends, so i long-held the middle button on the message and pressed forward.. I added the names of who I wanted to send it to, and it sent. I then realized it had sent them as an MMS message! This will have cost me a fortune.I checked I had not gone over the 160 character limit as mentioned in that thread.Try it for yourselves, and see if you can work it out.
Got the HTC Magic yesterday and have been fiddling about with it for a while.I can't seem to work out how to forward a message i have already sent. as I'm sure you all know it comes up like threads rather then having an inbox, sentbox, outbox etc etc.Any ideas?

1) I want to be able to assign different ringtones to different groups on the phone (ie based on the groups assigned within the Google contacts database).
2) I really need to be able to set the phone on silent overnight for everything (calls, emails, sms messages) EXCEPT for calls from people in a VIP list who I want to be able to wake me up.
I've been able to do this on "dumb" phones for the last 10 years! Can anyone restore my faith in this thing's smartness?
I am using the Samsung Galaxy S. I have sync working and all my Goggle contacts are listed in my phone. But they all appear in one group, called Google. I have my Google contacts in groups, and had hoped that the sync would bring down the group hierarchy. But it did not. However my phone is aware of the Goggle groups, because if I try to create a group in the phone with the same name as a Goggle group, my phone raises an error saying that the group exists. But I have no visibility to my Goggle groups on the phone. I only see a "Google" group. Is it possible to see my Google groups in the phone? If so, how?
