I add a listview via Java into @+id/View01.
For some reason the items in the listview don't accept clicks.
Does anybody have ideas about possible causes? code...

I set an ImageButton's click listener via setOnClickListener(), but it doesn't respond to trackball clicks like a regular Button.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a TextWatcher set on an EditText that changes the input type after a user types a number followed by a space. If the user types two numbers the input type switches and accepts the next character, but if the user types only one number and presses space the input type still changes but it won't accept the first character the user tries to input. I've tested this on Froyo and 1.6, it only happens on Froyo, 1.6 works like it should.

i'm looking to get called when the user taps on any part of a map view and i'm having no luck so far. none of these produces as much as a peep when the map view is clicked.i did some googling and found the thread.which suggests that overriding mapView.onTouchEvent() works, though calling setOnTouchListener() doesn't. however, onTouchEvent() didn't work for me.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a WebView inside the ScrollView. The content of WebView dyanamically changes when it displays different html page. I have the following issue: For example I have A.html, and B.html. The content of B.html is larger than A.html, so the page is longer. When WebView load B.html, the ScrollView stretches its size to enable itself scroll for B.html, then if I go back to A.html, ScrollView doesn't resize itself. (The scroll area is exceed the content of A.html) What I want to have, is dynamic change the scroll area of scroll view to fit the webview's content.

Why my ListView shows only the first item and does not fill the screen?
I am writing a android application where, on startup activity view, I have a button "DoIt". When user clicks "DoIt" button, I start another activity with different layout. On newly started activity, I have a button "Back" which should take me to the first activity. How to accomplish this. What code should I write on OnClick method of "Back" button. Also, I want the newly created activity to die after back button is pressed and application comes back to start-up activity.

- a textview with a text
I want to center both in the FrameLayout but I can't manage to do it. The Texview is centered just fine, my cusom view remains on the left side, when I make it visible.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a View that I've placed into a ScrollView.The View paginates text.If the text changes, then the height of this view will also change (expand or contract, depending on whether the new text takes more vertical space or less).For debugging, I draw a rectangle around the view to show its current size. After I repaginate, I cannot get Android to cause the View to change its size -- I have tried calling measure() myself, calling requestLayout(), and calling forceLayout() -- even though my overloaded onMeasure gets called, and calls setMeasuredDimension() with the correct values, the view remains the same size as it was before repagination. What am I missing?

Unfortunately I dropped my Droid the other day and now the top left area of my screen has a noticeable click or gap to it. I remember a thread where someone used electrical tape to fill that gap. Just wondering what the rest of y'all have done and what the best solution is.
View 9 Replies View RelatedAnytime I try to access my camera utility, through pressing the camera button, choosing the camera icon, or choosing the camcorder icon, the auto focus clicks like normal but the program does not open. The screen just goes black for a second and opens once more on the main screen. When I take the SD card out it works fine, but otherwise nothing will work. I have tried a factory reset, uninstalling several programs, and power cycling over and over again.

I'd like to be able to write code where I could pull the host, port, etc. out of a properties file and not have to write fake Schemes and other things like that in order to do the development work. In other words, the live site will have a cert. The dev site will have a self-signed cert or a CA cert. Either way, I need the code to seamlessly work with both kinds of certs if possible. View 5 Replies View RelatedI have to draw list of 30 articles. I tired using list view but there was some problem as I wanted to user alternate colors like first is white and 2nd is blue where as again 3rd is white and 4th is blue and it goes on..
So I decided to have scrollview and table into it. I set the view using setcontentview which shows loading dialog. then in aysnc task's "doInBackground" method i fetch all articles into the object and then in "onPostExecute" I run a for loop on the object and in each loop i make table row insert article and then insert row into table. and then dismiss loading dialog box.
As i have tabular view in my app and If i remove loading dialog box. While the UI is rendered if someone clicks on other tab. UI is hanged up, After loading all table rows It goes to other tab.
Ive implement simple udp server on my Android device.(sdk 1.5) it works fine when i am running a local client on the phone sends through it trigger to my server. but when i try to get udp call from an outside server to my phone, it doesn't work. already make sure the outside server isn't blocked by firewall and it's sending the udp trigger to the right port, which my phone is listening to.

I've seen it in the standard app widgets like 'Music' and 'Power Control', for instance. Moreover, I've also been studying the Music app widget's source at album_appwidget.xml. The only thing I could think of is the LinearLayout defined at lines 23-35 which states android:clickable="true".Unfortunately, this does not work for me. So does anyone have a hint on how to highlight a click on an app widget? I've tried the LinearLayout, TextView and Button. None of them displayed a border as a highlight.

But the OnClickListener is behaving wierdly - I touch the EditText and then software keyboard appears (which I don't want). When I touch again, OnClickListener.onClick() is finally called and the dialog appears.What should I do if I want the dialog to appear immediately?

Some of the apps I have seen can accept touch and keyboard requests that the same time but I cannot figure out how they are doing it. This is what happens in my app. Please shed some light on why this happens. If I touch the screen the keyboard is no longer responsive until I ackmoved the TrBall which takes me out of touchmode. I have used apps that seamlessly go from touch and keyboard without the need of moving the trackball.

I have done this on a website before using the googlemaps api in JS - but it doesn't seem to work on Android.
My php file is as follows;

It launches maps, finds the file - but won't display it 'because it contains errors'.
Is this just not possible, or are there other ways to construct the intent that might work?
