View 2 Replies View RelatedGood lord it takes FOREVER to sync music to the Evo with DoubleTwist. I never had this type of issue with my iPod touch. I wonder if the problem is DoubleTwist or the Evo. Does microUSB have the same bandwidth as miniUSB?

View 49 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone have experience, recommendations (pro/con) for DoubleTwist? I want a program that will make music management easy. I am picky on how music gets stored in my phone, I really like the way iTunes organizes music, and would like software that could do that instead of me editing my folder/sub-folder structures manually.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just downloaded Double Twist and am having a problem. In my library it shows all of my music. However, in my music folder for my phone, it shows nothing. I have tried to drop and drag the music from my library to my phone icon and to my music icon under my phone and it never puts anything in there. I can't sync until I can get it to work. Anybody know what I need to do?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for an alternative to double twist. I just cant get DT to sync the way I want. It seems to be more playlist oriented where Iam more "album" oriented. I just want something that will sync to my Itunes and copy my music and movies to my X.
View 11 Replies View RelatedIs anyone on this forum using Double Twist? Does it work as advertised? I noticed some posts on other boards indicating there had been some issues lately.
It had been posted as a reliable app on our provider website, but has recently been taken off the list...
I dl'd Doubletwist to my computer to sync music from itunes to my Eris. The first step of syncing music from itunes to DT was easy as pie. I literally dl'd DT in less than a minute and a minute later all my itunes songs (not too many actually) were in DT. DT looks almost exactly like itunes, except you buy your songs via Amazon. Anyway, step 2 of getting the music on to the Eris is NOT working. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I'm using Vista, 64 bit, if that makes a difference.

I am so frustrated with Double Twist. I downloaded the samsung drivers and double twist immediately fount my captivate. I downloaded some of my itunes music. While I was trying to download some of my video, Double Twist went blank and could no longer find my captivate. I have redownloaded the drivers, but the captivate is not being found.
Any suggestions?
Also, any idea how I can get some of my songs OFF of the Captivate?
I had some photos on my Droid and dragged them into the double twist photo album. Now, how do I get the photos from double twist into my iphoto album? Is there a way to import images from the Droid to iphoto without going through double twist?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo Double twist wont work for me with my droid. Now music is a big part of my phone and what I want it to do. I have dragged and dropped my songs fine. However, I want to make playlists via computer GUI and transfer that file. How do you do it. I can create play lists through the phone but that is tough using a phone.
I want to do it like I did with double twist and just copy that to my phone but for some reason now DT wont work on my phone. This is a huge deal breaker, transferring songs is ok, but I want to organize it/make play lists on my PC which is much easier and then transfer it over. Any help with DT or making a play list using Itunes/Zune/DT and transferring it over using drag/drop?
In my application ,am work with a large database.Nearly 75000 records present in a table(totally 6 tables are there).i want to get a data from three different table at a time.i completed that.but the search process was slow.how can i optimize the searching process?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI sync my Hero to Outlook. On and off I get some duplicated contacts under my phone. I have been busy deleting. Any idea?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIf any of you have a google contact that is totally unorganized and chaotic like mines and don't want it to sync to your phone's contact but still wanted Gmail or Google Calender to sync than .... KEEP READING!!!
Problem:
Purchased Evo and wanted my contacts from Blackberry to go to Evo. Simple and done, but the process for activation required me to log onto my gmail account and I was like,"oh hell no!!!" but it was required. All contacts now sync with doubles of old and new numbers, total disaster I have all these email accounts and old phone numbers I don't want from previous syncs that I couldn't get rid of on my google account unless I weed them out one by one. I now have 2500+ contacts. Screw that, so onward!
Solution:
Spoke to Sprint tech support (free):
1. Go to Settings
2. Go to Accounts and Sync
3. Ensure Auto-sync is checked
4. Under Managed Accounts go to Google youraccount@gmail.com
5. Uncheck Sync Contact
6. Go to your local Sprint Store and then have them resync your Blackberry with your Evo
7. Stop reading and start enjoying...jeez!
I'm designing an android app which will need to do the following steps:
1. User pushes a button or otherwise indicates to "sync data".
2. Sync process will use rest web services to move data to and from the server.
3. The data will be stored locally in a sqlite database.
4. The sync process should provide status updates/messages to the UI
5. The user should not be allowed to wander off to other parts of the application and do more work during the sync process.
The first time the sync process runs, it may take 10-20 minutes. After the initial sync, less data will be transferred and stored and I expect the process to take 1-2 minutes or less. I've been doing a lot of reading about android's AsychTask and various examples of using a Service. But I don't fully understand the design considerations and trade-offs of choosing one design over the other. I currently have my demo project stubbed out using an AsychTask. After watching (most of) Developing Android REST client applications:
http://code.google.com/events/io/2010/sessions/developing-RESTful-and...
I'm left confused the design patterns described here feel overly complex, perhaps because I just "don't get it" yet.
When i deal with deleting a contact using new google api,i got the problem
here is my problem
Following is the only response :
You have to run a sync process, so it updates with Google Contacts, than it will be removed permanently. Check for deleted flag
so what should i do to run a sync process which updates with Google Contacts?
I'm new to the forum, new to Android, and new to Evo here I've had this phone for a few days now and it's sweeeet, but today I've been noticing that of the few devices I have around my place, the Evo is always the last pony across the line when it comes to getting updates to my Google services (GMail, calender, etc). I would have no problem accepting it as an issue with Google's servers or something like that (as described in similarly titled posts here), but it just seems too odd that other devices get updates nearly instantly, and the Evo consistantly lags behind. Is this a known issue? Are there any optimizations to look into? Where might I comb through the phone's settings to make sure everything is set up as it should be?
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter the update to Android 2.1 on my HTC Eris, like many other people, I had problems syncing my phone contacts to my facebook contacts. The process com.htc.bgp constantly force closed, and no linking could be made or is some cases only a part of the facebook contacts were synced.
Different fixes has been suggested by users online but none of them worked
My wifes account works perfect on my phone but mine does not work on her phone
Obviously its something on my FB account but what?
Sometimes the DDMS in the Eclipse not listing the process.
To do the debug in this condition,
1) Is their any way force the DDMS to list the process?
2) Any command to attach the process from the command line?
At a certain point in my program, when I'm completely done with my service, my activity executes unbindService() and stopService() -- yet the process persists. I can tell that it persists because I run "ps" in "adb -e shell":
CODE:.............
"adb logcat", I can show you the sequence of events:
ACTIVITY: context.unbindService(serviceConnection);
SERVICE: onUnbind();
ACTIVITY: stopService(serviceIntent); & returns true!
SERVICE: onDestroy();
First, my activity calls unbindService(serviceConnection). According to the documentation, unbindService() will "Disconnect from an application service. You will no longer receive calls as the service is restarted, and the service is now allowed to stop at any time." So that is fine, and it is happening.
Appropriately, we see the onUnbind() call happen on the service side. According to the documentation, onUnbind() is called when "all clients have disconnected from a particular interface published by the service." So this confirms the correct service connection is being passed, and that the service is responding accordingly.
Next, my activity calls stopService(serviceIntent), and returns true. According to the documentation, stopService() does the following: "If there is a service matching the given Intent that is already running, then it is stopped and true is returned; else false is returned." Again, this is happening and returning true.
In response, the service's onDestroy() method is called. According to the documentation, onDestroy() is "Called by the system to notify a Service that it is no longer used and is being removed. The service should clean up any resources it holds (threads, registered receivers, etc) at this point. Upon return, there will be no more calls in to this Service object and it is effectively dead."
At this point I expect the process to disappear from the process table. Yet it remains indefinitely. But why?
Also, the process is so persistent that I can bind to it again, and I see that it is the same exact process responding because the PID (process ID) is the same!
So, I decided to give Tridents ROM a try about 10-minutes ago.
I used ROM Manager, backed-up my old ROM, then downloaded Velocity 0.2.
Now, my phone will do nothing, it turns on and shows the red Droid eye, then when it's time to go to the home screen I get pop-up after pop-up saying that "The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
I have no way of getting on my phone at all, what can I do?
I Just installed a new theme (Live Wire) for my Lithium Mod Rom. Don't know if there is a connection, but when I need to update an app, I get the message something like "process android media process stopped unexpectedly" and it will not allow the update. Everything else works well. I have turned it off for awhile, and have done a battery pull.
View 1 Replies View RelatedEvery 5 minutes this error pops up "Sorry! the process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectdly. please try again." It doesnt actually close anything. It pops up even when im not in an app. So it's more annoying than anything.

Whenever I try to add a contact to my phonebook, before clicking save this message appears: "The process android.process.acore has stopped unepectedly. Please try again." And I have no other choice but to click "force close"... Another thing is, even though my contacts' names appears in the messages in my inbox, when I click on the phonebook icon, the phonebook is empty...
