Jun 24, 2010Htc Hero is supposed to be a multi touch device, you can pinch to zoom in browser and in photo viewer, the thing that I can't understand is why all other applications don't support multitouch.
For example I downloaded snesoid and nesoid and there is written in the options that my firmware (1.5) doesnt' support multitouch, making it impossible to play games.
So is HTC hero with 1.5 really multitouch or not? And will I be able to use multitouch in emulators and other apps downloaded from the market when the 2.1 will come out?
HTC Incredible :: Photo / Image Viewer - Files Stored Outside Device
Sep 5, 2010I'm looking for an app that will allow me to view photos stored on my computer. I can access the computers on my home network from my Incredible using Astro or ES File Explorer "LAN" and open various file formats such as .pdf, .doc, .xls fine on my Droid; however, I am unable to open and view any type of image files (.jpg, .bmp, .gif, etc.) unless they are stored on my SD card or in the Droid memory itself.
When I try to open a image file stored outside the Droid, nothing appears on the Droid screen. I have installed several "image viewer" apps, such as Astro and 3D Gallery, none of which seem to be able to open remotely stored files. When I "click" on an image file, I see "Loading Image", but all that appears is a black screen with left and right arrow scroll buttons -- no pictures. Any advice, other than to copy and paste image files to my SD card, which then allows me to open and view them? I did get the 2.2 update.

Apr 22, 2010Ok so i just rooted my eris, and got it to the eris21official-root, there are a few things that i really want and i was wondering if i have to do an add or what to make these work from here.
-Live wallpapers
-Nexus launcher
-a better looking photo gallery viewer, im stuck at the stock crap one
-a better music player same reason as above
-and last is a better lock screen, i really liked the one that had the slient button and the lock on the same dial and it was just which way you spun it

Nov 5, 2009I could be missing this, but is there a way to send/tag a photo to facebook from the photo itself? The Facebook app for my blackberry lets me do this. If I pull up a photo I just took, I have the option of sending it to Facebook, as well as tagging it. I can't figure out how to do this on my Moment.

I only find comparison between Beamreader and docs2go(9.99) and many of you point that d2g can do more that beamreader, but I don't need to read office files (I do use open office and D2g doesn't seem to be able to read pdf). I didn't find a direct comparison between the first two options so which is better Beamreader or Repligo and why?

Oct 21, 2010I'm a writer and I tend to write in the .rtf (Rich Text File) format. I have Dropbox and I'd like to be able to pull up my .rtf files on the phone from Dropbox to go over them. The trouble is, I can't find a good .rtf editor or viewer program to do so. I don't really need the editing function, just a viewer will do. I have Astro as well. Phone is an Evo with Sprint.

Jun 4, 2010Here are two pics, one from my canon dslr and one from the HTC evo. Both were reduced by Photo bucket because of a file size restriction. Not bad for a cell phone camera, imo. Sorry, but I didn't have time to do some other examples, Canon T1I, 18-55mm lens, set to 8MP, full auto On the left HTC Evo 4g, 8MP, full auto On the right.

Jul 13, 2009Is there a trick to getting the Hierarchy Viewer to work in landscape orientation, or is it completely broken? In Pixel Perfect View it shows my screen sideways (i.e. in portrait aspect ratio), but when I click on the views in the explorer area it outlines the wrong areas of the screen. It looks like the outlining assumes the display is in landscape orientation, so it outlines where the views would be if it were oriented correctly. Obviously fixing the display would be the best solution, but barring that I'm OK tilting my head if only the outlining would agree with the display. Anyone know a way around this?
