Android : Camera - Internal Listoption / Save Pictures On Sdcard?

Jul 19, 2010

When you are taking a picture on an and device, you can send it. There are apps, which are pushing their actions into these send-list (Like Twidroid, which adds a listitem called "Send Tweet" in that menu).

So, how is it possible to add such a menu point into that menu? For my app, I want to make it possible to take pictures from both (The App itself and via the real camera-send-list) and save them on the sdcard.

HTC Incredible :: Allow Camera To Save Pictures Onto SD Card?

Apr 29, 2010

1) Is there a way to allow the camera to save pictures onto the SD card, as mine does not do so?

2) Within the Gmail app, is there a way to move messages from your inbox to other user-created folders? The Motorola Droid definitely had this option, but on the Incredible it looks like it only lets me apply a "Label", which I'm unfamiliar with, though this does not actually move the e-mail to that folder.

Android :: Move The Internal DB To The SDCard

Aug 8, 2010

As the database in my app grows, it is going to require more and more of the internal phone space. There isn't any sensitive/private data in the DB, so I'm interested in moving it to the SD card.

I'm using SQLiteOpenHelper to assist with the database work. It's my understanding that you can't use this for DB-access on the SD card as you can't define the DB path. However, there are some (very poor) examples on the Internet that suggest you can override this limitation. However I've never gotten one of those code samples to compile.

Is it possible? And if so--HOW! Please note that Froyo's "apps on SD card" feature won't work as it doesn't move internal files.

Android :: Save Files On Sdcard?

Aug 9, 2010

"Every Android-compatible device supports a shared "external storage" that you can use to save files. This can be a removable storage media (such as an SD card) or an internal (non-removable) storage. Files saved to the external storage are world-readable and can be modified by the user when they enable USB mass storage to transfer files on a computer." PROBLEM: I cannot write to a file on the sdcard. QUESTION: Is it possible to write to a file on the sdcard?

If YES, what do I need to do to make File.canWrite = true? I am using Android 2.1 update 1, API level 7, Eclipse, and HVGA skin. I am running my app / troubleshooting on the Android SDK ADV. When the AVD is running, I check settings > sdcard total 49.21MB, available 49.07MB................

General :: Recover Lost Files From Internal SDCard Of Android Phones

Mar 12, 2014

Today android phones are coming with an internal storage which is called the internal sdcard. Because of this the need for external sdcards is vanishing day by day. But when your phone is factory reset you lost all the data stored in it while in case of external sdcard you have an option to save your data. If you accidently lost all the data stored in your phone then don't worry I have a solution to get it back. This trick will work on phones having mass storage mode support, if you are running android 4.1 jellybean and above then root your phone to get mass storage( the tutorial is different for different phones),

If you have accidently lost all your files, photos and videos from your phone then after this do not copy new files to the phone. This also include clicking photos and capturing videos. If you copy new files to the phone then you are actually reducing your chances to get back your deleted photos and videos and other files. In short just don't download anything to your phone, do not use the internet on your phone till the time when you get back your lost files back.

This trick will only work on android phones having mass storage mode and MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) options. If your device is rooted then you can enable mass storage mode on your android phone. After enabling mass storage mode you can get back deleted photos, videos and all files from the internal storage of any android phone.

Requirements
1. Recuva for Windows 7, Windows 8
2. A USB data cable.

Now Follow The Steps Below
-Download and install recuva. While installation do not uncheck any option.
-Now connect your android phone in mass storage mode. Connect it to pc a notification will appear in the phone, tap it to enable mass storage.
-Now open My computer and you will see Removable disk.
-Open recuva and click Next, on the next step All Files will auto selected. Again click Next. Then choose In a specified location and click Browse.Choose the removable disk or MTP disk here and click Next.
-In next step put a check mark in Enable Deep Scan and click Start.
-After scan is finished you will see the list of all deleted files. Green circles is means that file can be recovered while red circle means unrecoverable file.
-Now check the box next to Filename to select all files. Click Recover on the bottom right and choose Desktop .Your deleted files will be recovered.

General :: Mounting Second Partition Of SDCARD As Internal Memory?

Aug 17, 2012

my internal SDCARD is corrupted and the /data partition is unusable.

My device is i9003 and it's running on MIUI at the moment. By default MIUI didn't detect my external SD or my internal SD but after editing "vold.fstab" I was able to mount the first partition of my external SDCARD as external memory and everything was good, I could finally use the camera and pretty much do everything else.

But I was still unable to mount the second partition of my external SDCARD as my internal memory which meant none of my messages could be saved and the phone would pretty much go back to factory settings after a reboot, this apparently is because the /data partition (present on the internal memory) stores all the user data such as the time, the theme I'm using, etc and not having a /data partition meant none of these settings were really saved.

Having no internal memory also means I cannot install any apps such as Link2SD.

Moving on, after many hours of googling I found out that it might not be possible to mount the internal memory using "vold.fstab" and the only way to do it could be by mounting the memory manually during init.

I want to use the second partition of my external SDCARD as internal memory, this is likely to solve all my problems and make my phone usable again.

General :: Internal Memory (SDCard) Not Detecting After CyanogenMod

May 3, 2012

I followed this simple steps [URL] ..... and installed cyanogen mod on my samsung vibrant.

The problem i am facing is that its not detecting my internal 14GB memory.

When i go into clockwork recovery mod, there i am able to mount my memory and its visible in my pc.

How to make it usable in phone?

I tried with different cyanogenmod rom's nothing make the sdcard (internal memory) detect after phone starts.

One thing is its not cracked, because i am able to access it from recovery when i mount the usb storage using clockworkmod, it displays the contents in computer.

Also I was thinking if can i use external SD card to save my camera pictures ? It does not have camera menu options as storage location.

General :: ICS - SDCARD On Computer Not Visible - Only Internal Appears (MAC OSX)

Oct 2, 2012

I am under ICS 4.03 on Acer Gallant Duo (E350) (MT6575)

/sdcard = internal storage
/sdcard2 = removable storage

I change build.prop parameter to ersist.sys.usb.config=mass_storage,adb

My device switched fro MTD to UMS correctly but only internal sdcard in visible and mount on my computer.

/sdcard2 (external sdcard) is not visible and not mounted on computer.

The strange part of the process is that /sdcard2 is unmount from the device (ACER) but not presented to the computer.

I tried to reformat the external sdcard2 without success.

General :: Write Only Access To Internal / External SDCard On Kitkat

Jun 2, 2014

I am using a mt6582m device with kitkat 4.4.2 with supersu. I can use root to write to system, data and cache using es file explorer, can also read and write to any sd card, but apps like titanium backup, online android backup, ram expander can't read/write to sd card.

Eg.1: ti backup read backups, can do all operation except backup and restore.
I had read a lot, changing backup path didn't worked nor any odex file is there. Using v6.1.5.6.
Eg. 2: ram expander can create swap file on sd but can read it saying 'not found'. Swap can be used with cache partition.
Eg. 3: online nandroid backup says pat not vaild.

I had tried, sd fix app, manually editing platform.xml, xposed module to 'handel external storage', change permissions using es file explorer, editing ramdisk.

There is storage/sdcard0 and 1
Also mnt/sdcard and mnt/sdcard2 (symlinked)
Also mnt/media_rw/sdcard0 and 1 (not readable even in es file explorer)

Android :: TextToSpeech.synthesizeToFile - Save Wav To Internal Memory

Feb 28, 2010

I'm looking for a way of making TextToSpeech.synthesizeToFile save output to internal memoryl instead of /sdcard. I've read the docs: http://developer.android.com/intl/fr/resources/articles/tts.html, then had a quick look at the SDK source code. Found out that SDK TTS functions are using the PICO Text to Speech from libttsespeak.so, didn't go any further yet.

Anyone ever synthesized a text to a File and did it to internal memory, (like a FileOutputStream), not to /sdcard?

I want to be able to publish the saved wav through a Content Provider. And being dependent on the presence of /sdcard does not seem the ''proper'' way to me.
