Android : Camera App Than Stock One On Phone?
Aug 12, 2010Is there a better camera app than the stock one on my desire?? it doesn't take good indoor pics with the flash say in a club etc..any suggestions?

General :: Restore ICS Stock Camera And Stock Gallery After 4.2 Camera
Jan 5, 2013I have a problem with my camera so I try to install are the 4.2 camera on my haipad I9300 mtk 6577. No success so now I want to go back to the original ics camera and gallery.. Unfortunately I delete the original ones when I install the 4.2 camera. So I download the camera apk and Google gallery. Apk and put in system.app the gallery shows up but not the camera. The gallery crash very often. I cannot make the camera shows up. Every time I turn on the phone it appears "Android update". I don't have a recovery.

Oct 6, 2012I have MMX A100 . The camera auto-focus is not up to date. I think its code is a bit itchy. any way had seen Karbonn A18 with almost same hardware but running ICS 4.0.3 with kernel version 4.0.13 have the stock camera autofocus working great .My A100 is having 3.0.8 Kernel.
I had stock ROM of both. Can I extract the Karbonn A18 Stock Camera and replace it with My ICS 4.0.4 ROM?
Motorola Droid X :: Stock Camera App Won't Open
Sep 17, 2010First off, my X is rooted, running the original leaked 2.2. This morning, my stock camera app stopped working. I click on the app to open it, and it flashes a black screen for 1-2 seconds before returning to the home screen. It was working perfectly fine last night when I took 20+ pictures. The strange thing is that I have done absolutely nothing as far as messing with the phone. Not even a single app downloaded for the past 2 weeks (been busy on vacation!). The hardware is fine too, because I can take photos with Vignette. A battery pull and about 5 restarts has not solved the problem. Any ideas on how to fix this? Or is my only option to do a factory reset? Also, can I restore all my apps easily with titanium backup paid edition?

Jul 14, 2012My main problem with Cyanogenmod is that the default Touchwiz camera app is the best free camera app I have seen, and even more so for the video camera.
I tried taking the Camera .apk file, but I just get a message saying "application not installed" when I try to install it, and "there was a problem parsing the package" if I try to install it from /root.
Yes unknown whatever installs are allowed. And I've tried a hundred and seven different installer/file manager apps, but they all direct me to the same default installer.
Other apps I'd want to take are the calculator and video player.

Jun 11, 2010I'm trying to make sure I'm not crazy. I have been sitting here at work trying to find an alternative to the photo software that comes on the Eris. I have never been happy with the stock camera app and the pictures it takes. I downloaded an app called Camera 360 from the market. I've been taking several pictures and comparing them side by side. To me, Camera 360 looks like it takes much better pictures. I have emailed myself 3 or 4 pictures so I can compare them on the PC. The stock camera seems to be very blurry when blown up onto a computer monitor. The Camera 360 pictures seem to be clearer and sharper. Granted I'm sitting here at my desk taking pictures of the wall and my feet, so it's possible the Camera 360 software will stink outside.

A couple days ago my cousin and I finally got to sit down and root his phone, he was at 2.1 and I now have him at 2.2 with BB. Yesterday he asked me about the camera quality diminishing and if it was a common effect of rooting and I didn't believe it was. So anyway, does anyone have any experience with the camera losing quality after root? Like I was saying, I've always thought mine was shitty and I just lived with it.

It sucks cause I had some good pictures and video but now they are basically gone. I have downloaded another camera app and I get reliable pictures that aren't corrupted. But I would prefer to use the stock one cause it just seems to react quicker. What apps do you use for taking pictures?
