Android :: Live Wallpaper Changer
May 1, 2010Anyone know of a wallpaper changer for only Live Wallpapers? I know there are a bunch for "still wallpapers", but I plan on using only live ones. Is there a changer that can handle that? I don't seem to be able to find one in the normal places I seek out apps.

Jul 29, 2010Something where I can set a specific folder, and it will randomly change my wallpaper to those images at set intervals?
I figure something like that would be more battery efficient then live wallpaper that constantly changes, since it might only actually do something once every 15 minutes, half hour, or hour.
It would give me something that still appeases my desire for droid x flashy goodness as well.

Nov 1, 2013I have been searching around for a way to automatically change the lockscreen wallpaper. I have Samsung Galaxy S4. It has a lockscreen wallpaper called "travel wallpaper" which does this but has major limitations (can't select the images myself, uses mobile data). I ahve tried other wallpaper changer apps / live wallpapers, but they only change the homescreen wallpaper not the lockscreen.
I do have WidgetLocker and added some widget that did the trick... but I am trying to go back to the stock lockscreen since WidgetLocker hasn't been reliable for me (it only works sometimes, others the stock lockscreen shows up. Also WidgetLocker doesn't have media controls.

May 14, 2010I downloaded pictures off the internet and tried to set them as my background, and it says "This picture has been set as wallpaper" But its just the default wallpaper. So then I tried the Bar code scanner wallpapers and Android themes.com and same thing!

Oct 8, 2010I have recenltly got a HTC (I have a HTC Magic running 2.2 on Cyanogenmod-6.0.0.DS.) and I was wondering if anybody know's of an App that will allow me to change the notifications of applications individually, with working shift work, I have bought and installed an app that allows me to do black and white lists for the calls, but I need the facility to switch the phone into silent mode for the SMS/MMS but still notify for Emails through Gmail, would be good to either have a widget to similar to just open, switch, close.I know I've got the option to go into the system app and change and Gmail and change, but then having to change back, etc. I could just run the call manager, switch profile, run the notification manager, switch profile. There are notification changers out there, but they arn't as customizable as I would like.

For example, I used handcent sms before, and I was able to choose between the Android system sounds and handcent sounds which could be whatever I want from my sounds and SD card. Right now, for notifications I can only choose between a small number of sounds from the Android system. Is there a single app that let's me choose different sounds?

Jun 7, 2010Andorid makers need to step up the game, as the new iPhone is very good, reading about the iPhone 4 right now (WWDC, Steve Job keynote) i was really amazed, i don't own any apple product and i don't like apple close system.but: 960x640 (326ppi) IPS Display with 800:1 contrast ratio Long battery life (7 hours talk, 6 hours 3G browsing, 10 hours WiFi browsing, 10 hours video & 40 hours music.) A4 chip (as i understand it's really the main reason of the long battery life now offered) 3 axis gyro ( i didn't see that one coming), a gyro+accelerometer+compass=six axis aware device (The wood demo is really WOW) 5MP camera (larger sensor) + 720P HD video @ 30FPS + LED flash iOS 4!For me, more resolution is always better (and since the limit of the human eye ~= 300ppi) , all mobile phone should have a minimum of 300ppi.The new Gyro is a welcome move, as i always wanted my phone to senses when i rotated flat on a table. this will not only be great from game, but imagine Google earth with six axis awareness.The A4 and the longer life was expected, but nice move Apple .The camera was screaming for an update and the HD recording is a nice touch.I still preffer FroYo to iOS4 ... but iOS4 is really amazing with loads of new features.iPhone was behind in terms of the hardware, but not any more.

Android :: Windows 7 Start Button Changer
Jul 9, 2010I didn't create the program but I did make the button. Here is the zip, extract any where but you have to keep all the files in that folder for it to work.
MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service
Run Windows 7 Start Button Changer v 2.0.exe as admin.
Then select "Select & Change Start Button"
Then choose the file android.bmp located in that folder.
Explorer will then restart and tada new start button.

Oct 2, 2010I'm running cm6 and the Galaxy S Theme. I would like to run my density at 160 because I really love how tiny the icons look on my screen. However, when I run the density to that setting my notification menu bar no longer stretches across the top of the screen, it appears as a small square in the left hand corner. I also have the same problem in the market place, where the grey background should stretch across behind where it says "market". My friend runs his at 160 and has no problems like this, however he is not running cm6 or the theme I am. So, while it doesn't really narrow it down any, I'm sure the problem is in one of the two, more likely the theme in my mind. Any idea's how I can fix or repair this problem?

Jul 20, 2010I'm looking for an alarm clock app with one very specific feature - allow me to set the alarm tone to automatically stop after X seconds, then start again at the next snooze interval, and play for another X seconds.
Sure it seems every alarm app out there allows me to set Snooze intervals and stuff, but with my waking up habit, I don't like to physically have to touch the phone to get it to shut up until the next snooze interval. I like to lay in bed and let the alarm go for like 3-4 snooze intervals before I finally wake up.
I've tried Alarm Clock PlusV2, Alarm Clock Xtreme, Quick Alarm. None of them seem to have this.
HTC Incredible :: LCD Density Changer Brick
Sep 20, 2010Running Incredible with Froyo. I rooted using Unrevoked3, but I forgot to make the nandroid backup, I guess. the LCD Changer app has my reboot looping. After the very first HTC Incredible screen it goes totally white and I just hear the "Droid" voice(plays when the red droid eye comes up on screen normally" nothing but white and the voice just repeats after the screen flashes every minute or so. Tried applying the update.zip that was linked to on the developers blog, but no luck. Any ideas? I even tried resetting to factory defaults, formatted everything, basically. Lost a great of data, I'm afraid, but I just want my phone back.

Dec 7, 2009I installed it on my Droid and when I open the list and long press on an app it gives me the option to Auto-Kill. I assume this means I won't have to kill this app any longer so I select this option but I find that I keep having to kill the same apps over and over again. What's the point of Auto-Kill or what am I doing wrong? There are lots of programs (most I didn't even install) that run all the time and I'm having battery issues so I don't have battery to waste on programs I'm not using and will probably never use.

Apr 4, 2010Is there a way to tell Android to do the following when setting the background image for a TextView?
1. Scale the image so that it's just large enough to fill the the entire viewing area without any black borders, while still maintaining its aspect ratio. This might require clipping once the image is actually displayed, but that's OK (read on).
2. Then, center the image in the viewing area, both horizontally and vertically.
3. Finally, clip the image to the size of the viewing area, without any further rescaling.
I'm guessing that this kind of image processing is not automatically done via any of Android's facilities, and that I'll have to do it myself. If this is a correct assumption, could someone point me to some documentation or some examples which could explain how I can accomplish this? I'm guessing that I'll have to subclass my TextView and implement my own onDraw() method, but could someone confirm or deny that assumption?
